Kind of a dumb question, but how much better is this camera to the a229 and a129 pro? I really just want something with good parking mode so nobody messes with my car at school and good quality on road. I was stuck between the three but I think the a229 and a139 pro are better than the 129 pro, so which is really the better deal? I found the a229 for $210 with everything else such as cable kit and lense, but the a139 pro starts at $300 so for parking mode you’d need to spend a little more. I’ve never owned a dash cam so I don’t really know much about them. If it helps I own a BMW e92

First off, I want to say, great video and detailed explanations! My question to you is how do I utilize this camera if my car has wireless apple carplay? I currently have the Viofo t130, which requires my phone to be connected to its wifi connection from the camera to be recording. Since the wireless apple carplay also requires my phone to be connected to my car's wifi, everytime I get into my car, I have to go into my phone settings manually and click on the Viofo Wifi network since it instantly connects to my apple carplay as soon as I turn on the car. This can be extremely annoying because I wanted to be able to just turn on my car and go, knowing its recording. In my case, I have to turn on my car, manually go into settings, connect to the camera's wifi, wait for my apple carplay to reconnect, then I can go. What are your thought on this and how can it be addressed? Thanks in advance.
There is no need to go to the app in order to start recording. The dashcam automatically begins the process as soon as the engine is on and then stops the recordings once you power the engine off. You can connect to the app at any point of time in order to download the recordings.
@@TechMishka that’s so weird!! I need to explore this more then because the guy who installed my dashcam said that I have to have my phone with me in the car and it needs to be connected to the cam’s wifi to be recording. I think this is true as well because my dash cam will constantly beep until I actually connect my phone to its wifi. When I do connect it, it’ll announce, “dashcam recording.” I’m not sure if it’s different with the A139 as I have the t130 but what do you think?
@@ryannguyen790 There is no need to connect your phone to the camera to let it work. The camera will start recording once your car ignition is on. @TechMishka Very interesting points about your country. Looks like a beautiful place and I would love to visit. For the A139, I had nothing but issues with it. Hello, please tell me, does this camera also get very hot when it records 4K and 3 video streams? I'm afraid it's dangerous to leave a car in the sun with this camera in the summer ....
The app won’t load recent recordings till the next day for me. And now the micro sd card holder failed. Fell out of its place while I drove. Now it won’t hold any card new or not. Also, the camera will randomly decide to not turn on and I have to press that tiny reset button just about once every other day😑
So sorry for the issue. May you please update the latest firmware to test? Is your app the latest version too? If not, please update it either. Wait for your result.
The one thing no one reviews is longevity. Many of these models fail after 36-48 months. I live where temps vary from 10-95 Fahrenheit and have never had one last over 3_yrs.
Agreed. You want to be able to see what the camera is recording & know that it is on. I don't want to hope that it captured something, we want to know.

@TechMishka it keeps shutting down and restarting. I had a guy cut me off, and I go to look at footage, and it skipped the entire incident. How do I keep this thing recording non-stop not 2 to 10 sec clips. Plus, it's turning off , but when it's working, I have 1 hour drive to work and 2 hrs home . I have 50 clips on my drive home. I have the 256 gig chip and would like one non-stop recording.
@@TechMishka mate seriously. You can't use the close-ups on these dashcams. I've downloaded the footage and tried these hoping it's just terrible RUclips encoding. I was hoping to find a really decent one, but those "high-end" AUD$700+ these things are utter rubbish... a phone does better and does a bucket load more. These dash cams have one job, and the fail at this. Which is to record information correctly and in an identifiable manner. They show what happens, but it's impossible to see any detail - same as GoPros. I work in the media space, and GoPro's are rubbish for detail, but they footage isn't intended to be used cropped. So for all intents and purposes the footage out of these dashcams are no better than a $150 GoPro really. They only solve two problems which prevent gopros from being used as dashcams which is the power scheduling and data management. I've run GoPros on all kinds of batteries (from battery banks to v-lock batteries) for short term timelapses (7-12 days), and there are motion sensor units which are available for security. The close-ups are slightly better out of some of these dashcams but from a legibility perspective are about the same. They're effectively unuseable most of the time anyway rendering them useless. These dashcams are like a scam the more I look into it.
Beware camera sucks, guaranteed not to record an incident you may have. Every close call I've had with mine, I did not record it. I have zero faith this record an accident if it happens.
@TechMishka yes it records, clips from 2 seconds to 5 min. I have the highest capacity scandisk that was recommended. I've heard that because of heat this camera will do this. Makes no sense, gopro can record non-stop until the battery is dead

Hello, Thank you for the advertising and review. Are you sure it is a good deal? Can I view live footage from my phone (as a passenger of course)?
Only if you are within the ra gebof the hotspot.
Thanks for the video.
You are welcome!
Hello, I have just ordered the A229 Pro 2CH model to replace my current A139 Pro Duo, will you test it please?
Sure. It is in my car already ☺️
@@TechMishka I can't wait to see the A229 Pro review, thanks!
Great informative video
Glad it was helpful!
The 70mai A810 has the same sensor but much cheaper. It is a reliable brand as it a Xiaomi brand. Please can you compare these.
I no longer have it around. But might be that video quality is 8ndeed very similar
Hello, please tell me, does this camera also get very hot when it records 4K and 3 video streams?
I'm afraid it's dangerous to leave a car in the sun with this camera in the summer ....
It gets warm. But there is no battery involved so it is quite safe.
It cannot run at 4k in the front with all cameras running at once
@formetoknow540 It can run 4k and 3 channel.
@qazaqdotcom2065 ask these guys any questions and they do reply
@qazaqdotcom2065 no it can't run full 4k at the front with all 3 cameras think is 1080p
Nah, I don't think firmware update will fix a broken card slot. But still - worth trying.
@@TechMishka Oh, yeah, you need to return it for a replacement now at this point.
I'm really confused between this one and the Ddpai X50pro
Would you pick this one over the ddpai x50 pro? And can please cleafy the reasons
Thanks
I'd probably go for this one
At 9:20, you drove right through a stop sign without stopping... just because the guy infront of you did? LOL.
I did, my bad. Fair point!
Where is this brand made and manufactured?
Viofo is a Chinese brand.
@@TechMishka Oh my, can you recommend which camera has starvis 2 non CCP chinese product?
Which is better ddpai x5pro or this viofo a139 pro sir?
I probably would go for the Viofo model.
The one thing no one reviews is longevity. Many of these models fail after 36-48 months. I live where temps vary from 10-95 Fahrenheit and have never had one last over 3_yrs.
It is quite hard to review that many devices in long term.
This one would likely last.
I rather get 2 A119 mini 2's as the LCD display comes in very handy. For the price, there should have been atleast a 3" LCD display for the A139 Pro
Yeah, maybe a s all reference disay would have been nice.
Agreed. You want to be able to see what the camera is recording & know that it is on. I don't want to hope that it captured something, we want to know.
Screen is useless, I'm currently using a119, under hot weather always, and the screen burn. I prefer❤ the concept connect with phone
Does it shut down automatically when recording due to heat?
Not sure if this is part of the firmware functions.
the main issue is that the application remains from the 90s, old and ineffective.
It has all the settings you may need. The interface is just oldschool.
@@TechMishka I'm talking about how the video is viewed, file by file...
other barnd like 70mai or ddpai move to use the comfortable view video with a timeline.
@@yanir.tzabary I'm still using my original 70mai 1S and it saved an accident/collision file when I needed it. Was daytime, cloudy, raining and still excellent resolution. More than enough for insurance cover too. 👌😀🇭🇲
@@TechMishka VIOFO is re-building the APP.
Did i just see ms racheal or has it been on my tv for 12 hours straight?
She has been singing right next to me for so long in the past months ❤️ Brothers in faith I guess ,😁
I had nothing but problems with the a139 pro
Dealing with manufacturers is impossible..
Oh, sorry to hear. What was wrong?
@TechMishka it keeps shutting down and restarting. I had a guy cut me off, and I go to look at footage, and it skipped the entire incident.
How do I keep this thing recording non-stop not 2 to 10 sec clips.
Plus, it's turning off , but when it's working, I have 1 hour drive to work and 2 hrs home . I have 50 clips on my drive home. I have the 256 gig chip and would like one non-stop recording.
I am looking for a dashcam...geez... this is a high end dash cam? the image quality is terrible
I am watching this video in 4k on youtube. This is worse than my 6-7 year old Gopro Hero5.
Are you watching in 4K resolution? Are the closeups also as bad as the camera footage?
Vifo A139 جيده لكنها تسخن ثم فجاءه تنطفي وبعد ذلك تعود للعمل من جديد ثم تنطفي مره اخرى
احتمال لان الجو حار في المملكه العربيه السعوديه ربما
Hmm, shouldn't be the reason. Are you using the original charger? Did you try another microSD card?
@@TechMishka حسنا في المره القادمه سأجرب الحلول التي ذكرتهما وسأوافيك بالرد .. شكرا لك

@@Mutlaqthatguy المشكله ما زالت
70mai a810 is better
👍
Beware camera sucks, guaranteed not to record an incident you may have.
Every close call I've had with mine, I did not record it. I have zero faith this record an accident if it happens.
Did you check if it records at all? Kind of weird...
@TechMishka yes it records, clips from 2 seconds to 5 min.
I have the highest capacity scandisk that was recommended. I've heard that because of heat this camera will do this.
Makes no sense, gopro can record non-stop until the battery is dead
Viofo, you forgot to mention, made in China.
iPhones are made in China too. Is this a problem?
A139 Pro constant reboot loop they deserve a lawsuit
Sounds like a power supply issue. Try different cable and different adapter.
Много яко , как успяваш да докараш тоя англосаксонски акцент , хахахах

Всъщност вероятно доста съм повлиян от немски и холандски радиостанции, прекарал съм дълги часове в слушане и изучаването им.
$300 camera and it comes with 1 sticky tape that'll fall off in the texas heat
It won't. The tape is of good quality.

Just check the protected videos folder.
Hello, Thank you for the advertising and review.
Are you sure it is a good deal?
The image quality is not so good and certainly not a real 4K 30FPS
The price is more expensive than a Fimi Palm or a Feyu pocket gimbal camera.
Who want to waste so much money in a dashcam ? Not me, for sure. I will keep on using an AKASO 50X for same results and less than half the price
Pretty sure it is true 4K. You can check the side by side footage with Dr970x and it's quite decent performance.
Fimi.Palm and Feiyu pocket are devices meant to be used for other purposes.
@@TechMishka Easy and not very fair answer ;)
In my country, these are the prices
Viofo A139 Pro between 12000THB
Fimi Palm 2 Pro 12000THB
And i can tell you that FIMI, even if it is a gimbal action cam is much more versatile than the Viofo. And the 4k video is also much more better
This Viofo is totally overpriced and not a good 4K
@@BlueThailandi’m really confused, are you using the fimi palm as a car dash cam?
the bigger news here is that Bulgarian Post delivered the item
😊😊😊
Their app has awful reviews
Well - works fine, and that's what matters.
@@TechMishka It doesn't for many people though, that's the point. I won't buy from brands that do good products but let it down with shit apps.
