The Trinity (whether you agree with it or not) is actually pretty a important part of Christianity. The young lady on this commenting is correct. Jakes is definitely Oneness so he wouldn't hold to trinitarian doctrine. The James Fortune description was not Trinitarian doctrine but actually polytheism. The doctrine of the Trinity would be that there /is/ singularity in the essence of God, but plurality in the personhood of God. God is one in essence, and three in person: God the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Any extra earthly analogy tends to not do the idea of this justice, and leans towards old heresies (I.e.: analogies like three leaf clover; water,ice,vapor; mother,daughter,sister)

How can something be plural but singular at the same time? The doctrine of the Trinity literally does not make any sense.. Especially if you're trying to define it based solely on the Bible.
MrGregHack I ask How can a God who is everywhere "come down" to your rescue? How can an omniscient God "send" his Spirit? How can God be slow to anger and his anger quickly kindled at the same time? How can God be sovereign over all and humans be called to make real choices? These are a few of the many questions that can rise from reading the Bible. The doctrine of the Trinity in relation to other mysteries in the Bible is not unique in its sophisticated simplicity. As seen by the questions above, it's not always "either, or". None of them can be so easily dismissed by your question. From a Biblical perspective, many of Jesus' sayings (and OT scriptures) are self-defeating apart from the doctrine of the Trinity.

Because they don't believe in The Holy Trinity, they would have just simply said "The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit"... But if the host would have asked them to explain "Oneness", then we would have this video.
