@@yashara1e I own neither the daytona or speedmaster. racing chronographs just don't do it for me. but I've had hands on experience with both, the speedmaster feels worthy of its heritage and history without pretension or hype. whereas the daytona is merely hype and mystique

Just because you're bias for Rolex ( Which is a very accomplished and loved brand ) doesn't mean you should disparage an entire selection committee, evaluation and testing process. We clearly see if you were overseeing the moon watch selection there would be no testing needed the Daytona wins. Do love the content and your guest insight.
One thing is to love the daytona but a whole different thing to bash arguably the most iconic chronograph of all time. Yes! Rolex failed the tests. There were other brand in space before and after omega. What made omega the piece of choice was and still accuracy under every single circumstance. I LOVE the daytona but please don't base your opinion on hype alone. I would love to hear your opinion on the speedmaster snoopy award (any version) and why you'd choose it over a SS or hesalite moonwatch and what would you say if the daytona managed to go to the moon instead of the speedmaster.

Extensive and complexe testing were inflicted to candidates watches, High Temp., extreme low temp., magnetic waves , time accuracy etc.. and Omega was the one, period. I do not see what is the point in trying to compare today because of ones addiction for Rolex and the Daytona. It is an iconic watch I do agree, but not for the same population first of all, and not meaning that Omega since the moon history is in the shadow of Rolex.

No the Navitimer is, and Breitling is the originator of all chronographs that came after.
