Happy launch day and don't forget to join the live stream at 10 a.m. Central as we make our return to ranked Seasons after not playing online for almost a year 👊
Very informative. I follow baseball, but never payed much attention to the intricacies of pitching. I learned so much about pitching in 15 minutes. Funny how wanting to beat a game makes you go out and learn stuff. Thanks for the great content!
Thanks man, happy Sherzday! 👊 Make sure to try to catch a live stream sometime because I spend most of the time playing with all Rangers cards and I'm trying to P5 every single one of them this year.
Ok I have a question I a pitcher and when I throw to a base when I have it on r and flick the joy stick for first 2nd etcetera and when I try to throw it to first or 2 ND it throw to 3rd why please help me with this it does this with catchers too and outfield
Informative, so you get a like and subscribe. That said, I never played baseball growing up or even watched the sport on TV but decided to pickup the game last week and am trying to get as much information as I can about the strategy and tactics to use to build my own custom team in FRANCHISE MODE and how I should learn pitching and hitting vs the AI. It looks like you posted the above early on, and I wanted to know if you find that the information still holds for player vs AI in franchise mode, or if they made updates and/or you learned anything new since this video that you can share. One thing I noticed in examining the majority of the starting MLB pitchers is the lack of players using certain pitches like running fastball, forkball, palm ball, vulcan change, and sweeping curve and I'm wondering if these have faded from and Iare all good examples) - is there a good reason why? Are those examples of pitches that aren't being used in the MLB today but are valid on historic pitchers similar to the knuckleball or is there another reason I'm not finding examples of MLB pitchers that have these equiped? Finally, if you could pick 5 pitches to equip which ones would you choose, why, and where do you recommend I target them in the strike zone with the top row being 1, 2, 3 in a left to right sequence with mid being numbered 4, 5, 6 and bottom 7, 8, 9 all left to right from a right handed pitcher to a right handed batter? How would the answers change for a left handed hitter facing a righty pitcher? And when do I flip the answers you provide, when the handedness of the batter changes and/or pitcher changes? As you can tell, I have a lot to learn. I'll watch your other videos as well. Thanks.
No updates to gameplay since the game has been out this year but we do have several other hitting tips videos on this channel that you should definitely check out because I kind of specialize in teaching people the game. As far as certain pitches go, those particular pitches are not typically used in this day and age of baseball because so many other types of pitches that are more effective have been created over the years. I actually have a pitching tips video that breaks down and explains where all types of pitches are supposed to be thrown to all types of hitters. That should help to answer exactly what I think you're looking for. Here's the link for that one ruclips.net/video/DMO9P45Lz3k/видео.html
@@Bigtomk22 Thanks for the reply and detailed follow-up, including the link. I started watching more of your content and like what I see. I followed you on Twitter, but didn't see a Twitch link and thus I'm wondering if you also stream there or only livestream here.
Oh no, we are only on youtube. I stay away from the toxicity of twitch. I can't stand the way people treat each other on that platform and the way they talk to each other.
I'm new. How do know my pitcher rotation's energy level's before a game. Trying to decide who to start in spring training game 5 or 6 now went thru starters guys pitch like 10 total innings so far .. dumb question. Also whats the diff from mid relief pitcher mrp vs lrp late relief pitcher ..and closer etc. Can you do a bullpen/rotation video for neewbs thx 🙏 👍
I'm not actually sure how to do that or how to see it in road to the Show and it sounds like you might be there or in franchise. Inside of Diamond Dynasty you can go and manage your squad and it will show you before any time you enter a game mode. There's no difference between the different types of relievers in the game in all honesty. The only difference you'll see is in their quirks and they're stamina. Pretty much the best way to design your bullpen is to go with the guys you trust when you need to win and learn who can keep it close for you when you're a little bit behind.
Again, I'm not familiar with this particular game mode and spend most of my time in Diamond Dynasty so I wouldn't know for sure. There are likely other creators that play inside those game modes that have videos out here though as well to help
I have not gone through rtts yet this year, but will be making a video on that eventually. You can check the video I have on the channel from last year as it will probably be very similar.
Thanks man, that's always nice to hear. Make sure to try to join a live stream here on RUclips at 10:00 a.m. Central sometime. I'll be live in the morning tomorrow 👊
No they actually won't if your pitching effective with them. I rarely give up more than a couple of runs (if that) per game and have played more than 10,000 online games since 2016.
Pitching in this game doesn't matter because no matter where you place the pitch anything anywhere close to the strikezone is getting bombed online even with good location or input ---- it sucks that pitching has no impact at all every game is just a homerun derby of who can out hit each other unless you're facing a noob playing against good players they just crush everything no matter what you throw that's NOT baseball. Pitching in the game needs to be more realistic. Swinging at bad pitches is rewarded in this game way too often there is no MLB player that's hitting a 99 MPH sinker low and inside for HR run just like real baseball you should be rewarded for swinging at only good pitches and punished for swinging at a bad pitches but doesn't apply to the Show everyone just hits everything for a homerun even balls out of the strike zone
I agree that that used to be the case before 23 but that is not at the experience that most of us are having in this year's game. If you are locating your pitches correctly, they are not getting bombed. With that said, it sounds like you're not having fun playing the game and if that's the case maybe this isn't the game for you. There's nothing at all wrong with that, it's just that I encourage everyone to have fun at all costs and if you're not having fun you got to do something else that is
You don't need to come here on my channel and talk shit to one of my viewers. Not everybody plays at the same level in this game and there's nothing wrong with that as long as they're having fun. I'd rather have a skill issue to deal with than an attitude issue.
Exactly! I was up 6-0 in this recent game I played dude came back like it was nothing and it wasn’t like dude was good but the game just gifts people these home runs
Sorry that was your experience but that's just baseball. You can never count your opponent out. The game this year is actually way more skill based than it ever has been. Sometimes people fall into the patterns of throwing pitches in the same place and then your opponent eventually takes advantage once they learn your pattern.
@@Bigtomk22 yeah I agree with that but also when I pitch I want my pitches to hit certain locations and it goes somewhere else and then boom home run but I get a good timing on pitch so that gets kind of frustrating when ur not rewarding with perfect timed pitches
Happy launch day and don't forget to join the live stream at 10 a.m. Central as we make our return to ranked Seasons after not playing online for almost a year 👊
i find that any pitch that moves downward and is thrown low in the zone works well for double plays personally.
That definitely won't be the case when playing online and especially not when you start playing against better competition
Very informative. I follow baseball, but never payed much attention to the intricacies of pitching. I learned so much about pitching in 15 minutes. Funny how wanting to beat a game makes you go out and learn stuff. Thanks for the great content!
I appreciate the kind words man and I'm happy to have helped in any way 👊
Good info + Rangers fan man of culture

Sorry but your question is kind of jumbled it doesn't make much sense. It's likely something in your defensive settings.

Pitcher "roles" what's LRp, MRP, SU, C, Rp

No idea what a SU pitcher is, please help i.e Carlos Vargas and Andrew Chafin az roster
I'm using a control velocity pitcher..which 5 pitches would you suggest and in what order of importance?

How would you rank the pitching attributes in importance? In road to the show
H/9, K/9, and clutch are most important. Depending on interface, BB/9 and Control are important. The rest for RTTS won't matter very much.
Thanks my guy
👊
This is my first mlb game and I use pulse Bc the others make no sense to me and I’m too lazy too look up a tutorial on how to do it 😂
Ain't nothing wrong with that. That's probably how I started using it back in 2016. Lol
big tom💪

No offense to your tutorial video. You seem cool as a fan man but all these pitches will get jacked if the opponent knows what they are doing.
