Dylan and I decided to do a commentary video on the BMX Flatland Session of the recent X Games in Chiba Japan 2022. Some amazing riding from everyone involved but I know we especially enjoyed watching Matthias Dandois, Terry Adams, Alex Jumelin and Kio Hayakawa.

Greetings, I'm late to the post but tremendous video RL and Dylan, they are tough runners 💪, you should put more videos of these too, the present of the great flatland bmx crossing borders in this sport, but there is a legacy, a beginning full of dreams and beautiful memories for many from the origin and for the history a combination about the sport, Freestyle BMX Flatland forever,,,🔥👊🏁🙏👁‍

I really enjoyed this. Watching RL rediscover at the same time I'm rediscovering. Today's flatland is insane. As amazing as it is, nearly every trick has roots in the earlier days. Just on a whole other level now.

@@RLOsbornBMXFreestyle sadly for some of us that channel is "restricted in your country" (England). Totally short sighted of them to do that when we need flatland message out there as widely as possible these days...

Paging RL, paging RL. Weeks since a new video. Keep us updated brother! Doesn't have to be fancy, or big tricks, just random stuff. You should crash the Eddie and Martin Tuesday beach session!

Kio, the Japanese rider on the white bike rides a hub guard on the driver side so it doesn't tear up his shoes. He said it on his Instagram a few weeks ago. Mathias Dandois does ride street on the same bike he competes flatland on. His bike is more street oriented believe it or not.

That makes a lot of sense for the hub guard thanks for sharing that Rich. And Mathais is insane on that bike

Was absolutely the best event, how was the stands empty?!?
Seeing the stuff done brakeless is insane. I gotta be honest I haven’t been this interested in an xgames event in…

If RL meant why is the crowd thin. It's because they have strict covid restrictions.

The riders are more concerned with looking cool than being safe. They have talent, yes, but one injury can put them out of the scene for months.
