The party finally came to an end when death knocked on his door. Hopefully, that smirk finally left his face as he exhaled his last breath.

Hard to say whether he made peace with the Lord while still conscious and alert on his deathbed. I think that to show true repentance he’d have needed to verbalize or state his confession or admission to guilt of these murders. He’d have died with some dignity and his eternal soul forgiven and preserved. For eternity. THAT is the power and message of the Gospel. Only God knows though.
