Please don’t discourage moms to not comfort nurse. Babies nurse for so many more reasons than just milk. Babies also cluster feed to signal they need more milk, so your supply will accommodate. This is so against so many experts advice
Just a thought regarding weighing the baby before and after feeding to see how much they are getting from the breast. as long as the same diaper is worn during the before weighing and after weighing it won't matter if the baby pees or poos for the after weighing. 4oz of breastmilk in the baby's tummy is the same as 4oz in the baby's diaper. :)
My baby makes noises like shes gasping, reqlly hard to breathe, loke shes in distress while sucking..the midwife said its normal.. but it doesnt seem normal
How do I break the habit of my baby sucking for comfort? My little girl is 6 weeks now and most days I find myself confined to the couch with her attached because she never seems satisfied and it is emotionally draining.
I know you posted this comment 2 years ago but if you have another baby that does the same thing use a pacifier, what my aunt use to do is she put some of her breast milk on the pacifier and give it to my niece who did the same thing

Baby should be allowed to nurse for comfort. Breasteeding isn't only about nutrition. It is also about nurturing your baby.
Ikr, my sister in law does that to my six week old nephew because he was born 4 months premature and he does it for comfort.
@@ambervantassel3816 excuse me.. your nephew ? You meant your cousin ?
@@Fox.White. actually, I meant to put sister in law, but put aunt by accident
but where is the sound
Love your videos! I'm a new mom to be and I've been watching your videos religiously, great info and very clear :)

Exactly what I’m doing through now with my 5 weeks baby.. came here for answers! How’s your baby now? Was it actually a problem?
I heard him sucking at first then it stopped so that means he's not eating?
Thank you for this video!
Babies are sneaky.
:)
Could you upload a video with what an incorrect latch and correct sounds like? Or change the misleading title. Thought this would help 🙄
check out a video on my site on nursing and teething -- I think when they bite you say NO and take away the breast --

it is temporary and there is nothing wrong with it. hang in there and let the baby come off the breast when he or she is ready to.

Is your aunt also your sister(in law)? 😂
I love you

Babies don't use breasts as pacifiers. Which was invented first???
Actually they do, I have a six week old nephew who was born 4 months premature and he sucks on my aunt's nipple for comfort.
@@ambervantassel3816 so he needs that. i hope he was allowed to.
