@@djsi38t I had to switch mine to a white board in the garage. I've only got about half as many as this video. Still a strong collection for a DIY guy. lol
Great video! I’m envious of your organization. Thanks for the tour. For those Plano boxes or any other box I stack on each other, I burn two holes at one end with a hot nail/solder iron, insert two ends of 550 paracord and tie knots at each end. Makes a simple pull handle
I had the same small chrome double sided pry bars in my prybar drawer ( Pictured in front left of your drawer. ) until a friend of mine told me they were actually drum brake tools. Learn everyday.
Yeah I got to thinking about it and remembered that was just for the plug itself! The receptacle is another $250, and add another plug for the second welder. She pricey.
Thank you! I've been nothing but pleased with the Tekton, go for it! Please let me know if there's anything in particular you'd like to see in the future.
dude awesome shop! amazing tool collection, new subscriber and fan, defs keep the last rollcab you were thinking about getting, i think you should hang up all the plywood for insulation and would make wall mounting stuff easier, for example use all those toolbox handle on the walls to make a little hanging section for your caulk guns and other things on hooks, theyre taking up shelf space where they are! very impressed ands youve given me great inspiration for my tool storage
Last time this guy post was 10 years ago and he sound pretty much the same, I mean the amount of tools he had is insane I guess mechanic bought fabricator burns.
I came across this video purely by chance and have poured over it, pausing quite often to look up different tools and items you showed. This video has a lot of good tips and hacks and products that I didn't even know existed. I was extremely interested in your hardware organization as we, too, have a ton of hardware to go through and sort and figure out how to store. I totally believed you when you said it took about a year and a half to go through all of it...maybe that's why I've been procrastinating on tackling this project. If you ever make changes to your shop, I would be interested in seeing what you do. You should keep the videos coming and show the different projects you work on. Also, you mentioned you had recently hollowed out that plastic red Tekton case. I'm curious how you went about doing that and what it looks like inside now ? Thanks for taking your time to give a tour of your shop!
If you ever wanna change the spray patern of the SureShot or Vapor sparayers, you can remove the nozzle and drill it out incrementally untill you achieve disired patern. Works great. Incredible shop man! Wow.... "Im pretty proud of my giant calipers"... Said no women ever lol
when the brass hammers are mint, the sledges have not a scratch, the punches are mint, the electric tools have not a mark of grease or dirt on them, 80% of the sockets have no internal witness marks, you know what you're watching. It's a great collection if there's ever an apocalypse though.
Is it cheaper by CU to get 56" boxes instead of 72" ones? I noticed HF has the Gen 3 56 for 899 but they want 1799 for the 72"...you could just get 2 56" almost for 1 72" i dont get it
I got a cheap curtain rod holder or towel rod holder and I just screwed it to mine and that’s what I put all my clamp on. It works good and it was only like four bucks.
Advice from a guy who repairs welding machines everyday for a living.....KEEP THOSE WELDERS! The inverter machines are nothing but troubles in a box. Those old transformer based machines last forever. Yes they are heavy.....the reliability far outweighs the downside
Very well thought and organized shop young man. You’ve acquired quite the amount of tools but can tell you got a great passion for it. Keep it going and thanks for taking the time out to share it all 🍻💯
What's under them sheets? A spaceship? *spits tobacco on ground* That's a pretty baller setup man. That welder connection just... well as theo von once said "makes me want to kick a fat kid at k-mart"
I can tell you have done a lot of research on your tools. One only gets to this level by spending a lot of hours going over what is available. I know because i do the same. I see tools in your box that are not found in others.
I watched the whole thing, rewatched a couple parts to add some tools to my shopping list. Thanks for making this, I know it's long but there's a number of tool and organizational recommendations that are super practical. I'm jealous of your shop space and that you can have a section dedicated to fabrication, just the mill and lathe are a dream for many! I would love to see more of the off-road Miata project and of course the Ultima RS, but I may be biased. If you have any questions about the RS build feel free to reach out, I'm always happy to see another Ultima on the road!
Fun fact: Costco sells large clear plastic totes in 3 packs, (11.25 gallons) and smaller ones in 4 packs. I appreciate your wire shelving system but if you decide that certain things would be better "stacked", I found those costco totes a revelation because the price is fair.
I like the fact that you bought the tools that work for you and give you the best bang for your buck rather than just paying for a name. Thank you for your video.
I might have you beat on the rock auto magnets. Man door 8’x3’ is solid without replicating. Overflow magnets cover the sides of a challenger 2 post lift.
17:28 Vice grips idea so they are easier to grab. I do the same thing but I have mine up side down to be able to grab them easier. Works for me maybe it will work for you. Great video. You remind me of myself with your tool addiction😂
I’ve never seen anyone with as much as you. Wow. How much did you spend? Everything is soooo clean too. I’m halfway through the vid so I hope you answer that. Thx for sharing. Watching from Ontario Canada 🎉
WOW!!!! Just WOW lol. Guy after my own heart. One of these days I want my shop to be just as organized. You have also given me a lot of ideas too. Awesome shop and tour of it.
Great shop; I love your ability to keep everything organized. Ordered the capri tools thin wrenches last night. One set of tools I didn’t see were annular cutter bits/rotolocs. No need for a mag drill, but I think you’d find the drill chuck versions to be very helpful. Makes drilling through any type of metal a breeze. Anyway, keep up the good work. Love the shop
Would love to see you go more into depth with the sorting of hardware. How did you go about what should go where and even what bolts to keep and what to get rid of. I know this sounds simple but would be very helpful to me.
How long did it take you to collect all of this stuff? Crazy how much thought u put into every item in the shop. Great idea keeping EVERYTHING on wheels
Nice set up! I appreciate how you only spend on the best brands when needed. Love the Knipex and Milwaukee collection. A fan of Vessel tools as well especially if you’re a fan of JDM. Also, sorry to hear about your loss. And agree that you should continue making vids especially on your ongoing projects. Just subscribed. Good stuff.
Great Shop! just wanted to mention (you may already know this, and may even mentioned it) that welding parts that have been cleaned with chlorinated brake cleaner can be super dangerous if any residual cleaner remains when you weld.
For welding I recommend to never use any brake cleaner. It is too easy to grab the wrong can or if someone see's you using but they do not know any better. Chlorinated brake cleaner, when heated, will produce phosgene gas which WILL kill you! Always use acetone for cleaning prior to welding or heating.
Not even close. Most tools are entry level and mid grade at best. Go look at the price of tekton it's nothing crazy. Even the harbor freight toolboxes add up to a few grand
@@T6TarekThe welders alone are about 3500€ each, lathe is probably 10 grand, mill also 10 grand.. the whole Milwaukee stuff is easy 5-8 k... It adds up
@patrickberger41 besides the big stuff I have more than him. All tool truck stuff and it's not 250k. Miller welders. 252, 185. His welders are old. You can pick them up pretty cheap at industrial auctions. His lathe and large equipment comes with a price. Hand tools nothing special. I didn't see all that much Milwaukee in all reality. Amura 14x40 metal lathe larger than what he has can be purchased for 2 to 5k. Things might be more expensive across the pond but a lot of stuff is a dime a dozen over here
Ok ok i got to the end of the video and your Rock Auto magnet collection. You say you're the king, ready to be humbled. I have over 150 lol. I have a full house refrigerator covered in them lol.

Yeah I got to thinking about it and remembered that was just for the plug itself! The receptacle is another $250, and add another plug for the second welder. She pricey.

Awesome job, awesome shop, incredibile tool collection... A dream for someone here in the third world... Nice video so fun to see it..
Thank you!
I'm impressed, thanks for explaining some of the tool uses. I have 1 Tekton torque wrench, so you also may have convinced me to go down that route.

I did have to close my eyes 👀 when I hit buy on the zip tie holder for Fifty dollars
Too bad your not near Ohio, Id be interested in those file cabinets
I wipe down my tools in diesel or engine oil and they never rust. Maybe that stuff you’re using to clean isn’t the best?
Barrel connector pliers
Dimple dies

I feel like none of your tools are used and just for show. Tools are too clean with no scratches. Compulsive OCD organized hoarding.
This man just walks into a tool store, and they ask him what he would like.. he just pauses and says “Yes”… 😂
When money is no object you buy everything!😂
This seems like normal man tools and stuff to me.
