    Also, I never would have thought that the two slash into double slash, would be the thing you hated the most about the Radahn fight 😂 that move was free imo, I used that move to heal so many times 😂 beauty of Fromsoft games

    • @AlviumTwo
      @AlviumTwo  3 месяца назад +1

      i have no idea how you can consistently dodge that move. i dodged it on accident about 3 times by either attacking and being outside of the hitbox of the first slash, or dodging really far left and having my hitbox dodge the 2nd one on its own. Crazy how people have totally different experiences with the same boss

  • @GodLoverOdin
    @GodLoverOdin 3 месяца назад +1

    I agree, its just like 3 moves that make him hard, for me its the meteors, sometimes i dont get hit at all, other times i just suck apparently. The second shit move for me is the instant slash with followup you talked about and the third move is the Miquella nuke, you can easily avoid it if you run at the begining, but its just not a fun move, plus it kills frames. Good video, keep it up

      i agree after i killed radhan it felt liberating and i realised how much fun i had. During the fight not so much. Malenia is definitely hard but as soon as you understand how to dodge her moves you can kill her soon after. i understood how to dodge all his moves 5 hours before i actually killed him. He has too many undodgable moves

    Okay so this isn't me being smart or snarky but...is he really that hard? My RL220 STR/FTH Build focusing on the Zweihander and Crucible Incants beat him in seven attempts. He was hard but Messmer took far more attempts for me at least.

    • @pandacakes6613
      @pandacakes6613 3 месяца назад +1

      That's kind of funny since I also did a STR/FTH build focused on Crucible stuff and Messmer took me two tries (one of which was me wandering in not realizing he was a boss) and I have yet to beat Radahn.

      @@pandacakes6613 I'd recommend investing heavily in any way to buff your defenses and HP.
      Min 60 Vigor, Talismans (focusing on Physical and Holy), Morgott's Great Rune for the massive +25% HP, Opaline Hardtear for the massive defense buff, Crimsonspill Tear for another decent chunk of HP, and if necessary stacking Golden Vow, Blessing of the Erdtree, and Black Flame's Protection.
      Assuming you have a minimum Level 16 Scadutree Blessing you can basically trade blows with him with such a set up.

      yeah as i mention in the video my build is made for katanas but i switched to blasphemous blade and my fragment level was 16. • @alchemicalalek7535
    @alchemicalalek7535 3 месяца назад +1

    I absolutely agree with your take, its a few moves that makes him difficult and it is badly designed.
    That doesn't take much away from the DLC, especially since killing Radahn ultimately doesn't give you much other than a sort of useless cutscene. But I feel like the biggest problem with the DLC is that the lore feels so contrived, it feels like a fanfic.
    Spoiler warning!
    The lore is like a puzzle piece that doesn't fit and sits at the edge, and doesn't answer any questions. The highlights of it are the Lore with Bayle and The Mother of the Fingers, that's it.
    Rellana is a stupid name, Moonrithyll is a stupid name (means moon moon), the Carians being there makes no sense, and it just goes on. The Hornsent also just feel like it takes away the mystique of why Marika opposed the Crucible, it went from having the thematic subtlety of being Human Order or Cosmos against Chaotic, Primeval Nature.
    Now its just like "Hurr durr, Marika had a VILLAGE that was attacked!" That doesn't really give her enough motivation to ascend to Godhood by killing literally all of them out of a trauma response, there should have been more mysterious and occult circumstances relating to the Greater Will that commanded her to control the vitality of life, perhaps to shape it into the Order it desired.
    And don't get me started on Miquella in the DLC. He just feels inappropriate. He's married to his "lord Brother" and his first shot is literally just his feet. I know this sounds silly, but it is fetishistic and makes it feel even more like a fanfic, less than a basegame story.
    It is very contrived that Malenia just fought Radahn to get him to marry Miquella, his literal child half brother.
    Really just hate that.
    TL:DR, the DLC lore regarding Miquella and Marika is so contrived it feels like fan fiction, and hardly a good one. You can tell that George R. R. Martin was not involved. It is BAD.

    • @marcogianesello6083
      @marcogianesello6083 3 месяца назад

      Get your mind out the gutter. It ain't myazaki's fault you need to picture Miquella fucking a 20 feet tall Radahn to conceptualize this. That's just a whole lot of projecting on your part, which is very very common with people who are quick to play the moralist card. It's clear to everyone with half a brain that the god and consort dynamic is a bit more abstract than just getting married, unless you wanna argue that the base game ends with the tarnished screwing the fractured corpse of marika or ranni's doll body. That sounds like a you problem

    • @nefarious8278
      @nefarious8278 3 месяца назад

      Rellana is there cuz she’s a messmer fan girl and the Carians which are there are just her loyal followers since she’s a princess. I disagree on you saying her village being attacked as a trauma response being silly- I mean what would you do if all the people who you know where taken, killed, or stuffed into jars. What the dlc lacks is the explanation from where she leaves the village to the point where she becomes a god and betrays the hornsent. So far there is just a lack of information about what the greater will more specifically meytr or the Elden beast offered marika and what exactly she did to betray them(the is also implies she was in someway allied with them). There is simply too many wholes to fill as of right now and I don’t know if it’s because I didn’t pay enough attention. The marika’s braid talisman is the epitome of this because it provides a whole lot of nothing except question LITERALLY we don’t know any of her original motivations before the intervention of the ‘greater will’. Everything with radahn is pretty lame imo even if it’s been foreshadowed since the story trailer with malenia’s whisper however I feel like they decided on what those words were after the base game dropped. In terms of story, this by far their worst DLC and maybe I’ll be wrong in about 2 months time when everything is pieces together

    • @alchemicalalek7535
      @alchemicalalek7535 3 месяца назад

      @@nefarious8278 I don't think its the worst DLC, its just the lore is lame.
      Marika shouldn't turn to Godhood and mass genocide over her village being stuffed into jars. That is just a stupid motivation and drains all from her character. It might explain her reason for being more ruthless against hornsent, but it shouldn't have as strong of a bearing on her character as the new lore implies.
      It just takes a complicated character and takes away some of her nuance, doing this very generic "oh the villain has trauma, now its actually not his/her/its fault for becoming a monster"
      Morally grey characters are great but way too overdone, and it becomes a bit annoying that Marika wasn't just an egotistical divine God who sacrificed a people she saw as barbaric, instead of it being some emotionally driven crusade

    • @nefarious8278
      @nefarious8278 3 месяца назад

      @@alchemicalalek7535 not saying it’s their worst dlc, I’m saying it’s their worst story of a dlc. You are exactly right, her ascension shouldn’t be just based off her village however there is almost no information to go off of which as to any further motivations because it seems like they were allied for a time. It also seems like what ever guidance she got from meytr from what it interprets the will from the greater will as affects the revenge she enacts. I also don’t believe that the revenge is 100% the driving motivation because if this was the case she would of been discriminated in just eliminating the hornsent but it seems like all were subject to be purged, an example would be romina’s Church. There just seems to be something a miss is all and I feel like people much smarter than me will piece it together
