I am so confused. In both my Mac and PC the created box simply clicks to the next slide. The demonstration seems to work perfectly for this video and others, however you probably should post the version of Powerpoint you are using as I am unable to get the feature to work after countless tries.

I can follow all of the steps, but when I go to slideshow mode and click the text box, it just advances to the next slide instead of bringing up a text cursor. Can anyone help?
I introduced Developer in the control panel and then clicked on Active X control, and drew a box. But I was unable to type in it. What could be problem. Please help me.

I am a teacher and due to this pandemic i switched to online teaching, initially i was using some apps for live class but now i am making recorded videos for my students. i am not a technical guy so facing some issues. Can you spare some time to help me. 1. I saw your video about recording ppt slides with inbuilt recording facility in PowerPoint. the first issue is that the mouse pointer is not getting recorded. whatever i am writing with the help of pen tab it is visible but without pointer. how to activate pointer. 2. To record pointer also along with whatever i write i switched to third party app screen rec but video is very blurry and a very big pointer, no way to reduce the size of the pointer. 3. then i switched to OBS but as soon as click the recording in ppt then there is NO option to access obs to adjust the frame. entire screen is getting recorded. I first click recording tab in ppt then it takes me to its recording screen, this is because i want to use pen, erasser . i can do same without going to recording tab and opening ppt directly in presenter mode but then when i access pen and colors it also gets recorded on the screen which i dont want to happen. Can you please give some valuable input on these. I am good at teaching but very bad at these recording stuff Thanks Vijay (Jaipur)

Rangopal - at the moment teachers are having to teach online e.g. Microsoft Teams. This provides an excellent way for teachers to type and for online students to be able to see it without using a write on whiteboard!

Same for me. It worked for like 10 seconds and for some reason it stopped after that.

There's a problem, whenever I projected it to the whiteboard and present it, whenever I click on the box to encode the word, It goes to the next slide
pptm or ppts file extension types are disabled at my workplace. Is there a different extension that will allow this feature to work?
What about Mac please? Tools is a replacement of development and looks different.

What is the difference between developer textbox and usual text box
If I right click on the tab I get no options. I found "Ribbon and Toolbar" under Powerpoint
