the part right before the cry was the cave theme in pokemon blue, red, yellow, and green.
Inside some dunes dialogue, martlet confirms that battle music is canon and emits from the monster when in battle.
That means that decibat either: Cant hear their own music, or doesnt care about their own music
It's mentioned Decibat doesn't like the music in middle of the battle, so it's likely just very involuntary
So Flowey (or gaster) is canonically just blasting their own music during random moments.

The use of a music box as the backing beat is actually so perfect for this fight. This was definitely one of my favorite themes from the original demo, glad to see people still love it!

As a real world Sentinel of Silence, I approve of this. The music box was definitely a nice touch.

This is more Decibat content than I’ve gotten in the past 7 years and honsestly I love it. Too bad he got 0% more screentime in the full game than he did in the demo (Unless you count Flowey replicating his attacks in a Neutral run)
Sentinel of Silence at least got a mention in the DDR fight right after the dunes (I forget the guy's name)

Yay the second most underrated character in my eyes gets a PHENOMENAL (oops sorry- phenomenal- too loud-) remix!
Zubat and Golbat cries are the perfect touch and actually fit really well without seeming out of place! 11/10 remix, not many songs make it to my favorites playlist but this one earns it! Animation is top tier as well!

Theory time: I never do things like this but I just had this idea. Dalv's leitmotif is actually the leitmotif of isolation. Dark ruins is isolated from the rest of the underground including the regular ruins which are already isolated. Dalv locked himself away in fear and Decibat hates noise to the point of driving everyone away.

I've only played UT Yellow up to The Dunes, but I can already tell this is an underrated character.
Which is pretty ironic since he, along with Dalv, was one of the only bosses in the demo.
He's been around for much longer than most characters.
