💀 Hey Skeleton Crew! Let us know which song has the most , which song has the most , and drop the time code of your favorite licks! Oh, and say hi to if you see him ;)
Bought one of these a couple years ago. Even with active basses, it's my "always on" preamp. Usually for pop/funk cover gigs. Very versatile with an incredible and subtle special sauce.
Really dig the musical contexts in your video! On darkglass’s video they mentioned that the character knob is a blend control which is fully the pedal at clockwise and almost entirely your dry signal at counter clockwise
I have one of these. The thing I love the most is it can make old strings sound new again. And dem bass strings ain’t cheap. Especially when you play a 5-string like I do.
love my harmonic booster at the end of my pedal chain. Full darkglass flavor on the blend and the pedal is always on. Sounds fantastic plugging a guitar into it too! switching it off makes it sound so dull and lifeless.
The big flaw here is not understanding the frequency Hz of the other tracks. Any sound engineer worth their salt can circumvent neutering the bass with mids.
Would have been better to use it to boost the high mids with the character knob up. You didn't really boost any harmonics. That's how you use it to cut through the mix
I've watched alot of this guys videos and it's annoying that he thinks he's the only bass player that cares more about what a bass sounds like. This just in: WE ALL DO! 🙄
i find it interesting that because i say that i only care about how it sounds that you would interpret that as "i don't think you or anyone else does."

Great review Man. I really like you put always the sound in a band context...
thanks marcio! in my opinion, that's the only way to really know what the gear is gonna sound like :)

Honestly dry signal with Warwick sounds better 😀
Agreed
That Corvette sounds so good 🔥
Sounds crisp 👌🏿
Perfect for Soul-R&B and a Passive Bass.
Greetings from Uganda 🇺🇬👊🏿🖤

I always love reviews within a mix. Really appreciate that! Thanks!
thank you!
I have owned this for a couple of years and it is very good.
Nice variety of lines
Your chops are excellent Mr Jayme. You really get around, I never realized.
Thank you Michael!

I feel like the dry mix and solo sound was way better.
Nice review! I just wish there were a third comparison featuring the pedal from Demonfx with identical settings.
Tasty stuff as always, dude!
thanks lari!
Great review and Great bass player
thanks!
What is the name of the first song with that killer slap line? I want to hear the rest! Incredible video as always.
I can't find any info on your band (2:37), is there a link available or is it just a joke?
So this is an exciter pedal? Aphex type big botton?
Men what are you doing with your hands (super red knuckles) are you also an MMA fighter? Or is that just a color issue on the video?
maybe a little bit of both eric :)

this is true
Ahahah, I knew it was Fuck Yeah after a bar ))
This might be useful. I’m not sure exactly what it is. It adds a lil sumthin sumthin.
The effect seems very similar to a sonic maximizer to me… 🤷♂️

Sister Fister lol
