Thank you for using a Squier, shows you can get great sounds with an inexpensive bass. Enchanting chilled playing by Cici too, I thought it was really really nice, good job girl. :)
Cici's response to the EHX was great. Just sounded and felt good. So awesome to be playing something, kick in a pedal and be able to say to yourself 'yep, that's what I wanted to hear'.
If the “crossover” on the EHX does the same thing that it does on my MXR Bass Chorus Deluxe, it means the chorus only effects higher frequencies. That’s one of my “always on” bass pedals in that mode.
Loved this, I have the ampeg liquifier bass specific chorus. It was about £100, surprised it was not part of the lineup. Would love to see more bass pedals comparisons for
Excellent demo. The fascinating thing with this is that they all sound so different; a far cry from the (inaccurate) mantra that all distortion pedals sound the same. I've got the MXR bass chorus (slightly too expensive for this test) but I'd be tempted to add the Walrus for a different flavour . . .
Well done comparison, as always. The Bass Clone has a really nice clarity. A bit of constructive feedback... it would be helpful to say a pedal's name instead of "that one" or "this one" in future videos because it isn't always clear to the viewer which one is being referenced.
I’ve always loved the sound of chorus on bass, it immediately gives you that Peter Hook/Duff McKagan vibe and I absolutely love it (then again chorus has always been one of my favourite effects in general). I’m honestly surprised how good these all sounded but I think my favourite has to be the CEB-3, Boss has always been one of my absolute favourite pedal companies and they always sound incredible (I have a few pedals from them and the main chorus I use is my CH-1 Super Chorus and is one of my go-to pedals in general)
That Squier Cici was playing, do you have it in fretless? It sounded so good. The Bass Clone was the best, but my modulation pedal for bass is the MXR Uni-Vibe. I love EHX though, I have a Bassballs and Nano-battalion on my board.
I like the Ampeg Liquifier myself. I bought it after a previous review on here! It sounds utterly gorgeous with a fretless Of the pedals in this video... well you can't beat a Boss can you
love this guys, but hey a little constructive criticism.. It would be useful if you gave the correct specs from time to time.. all the videos are fun but lack of specs, always XD
Would love to see this style of comparison with bass octave pedals :) i got a behringer uc200 as my first pedal many years ago for guitar that i then tried out with the bass when i got one as i always wanted to play bass over guitar, and haven’t changed since so this was good to see other options out there for bass specific chorus pedals
Thank you for the comparison video. I, too, was surprized and impressed by the walrus. It would have been nice to hear them in stereo, but it makes sense that this was recorded in mono, to further respect the price point.
The whole video is really unsharp for me, even in 4K. Not blured, but very "harsh". Really strong on the Mooer close up starting at 1:04 Almost like a poorly done greenscreen. Especially compared to the Fender Player 2 video from a few hours earlier, the quality is really different. But that doesn't reduce the quality content of this video! It gave me a new view for chorus and will have to give them another shot on my board
Oi oi, Oz did you forget to set the cameras to 4k or something? Video seems grainy today! Very noticeable on the zoom in on the pedals :D Did you doom too hard while rendering the video?
I really loved watching All About the Bass, as it was informative and very entertaining. But, without Nathan’s humorous sarcasm it has become very boring and hard to sit through. I will keep checking for his return but, if not I will unsubscribe.
Once again, so frustrating that these great players (and seemingly lovely folks) don't know the products they're demoing. Anderton's put so much into their guitar content, and it's consistently so well-informed, that their contempt for us bassists is even clearer in their bass videos. At least Nathan is longer involved.
LOL- What a load of b.s. - stop whining. Almost every video they do on guitar pedals they state at the beginning that they've not read the manual and don't know anything about it- the whole point is to show the viewers how easy or difficult they are to figure out in real time. Ppl like you will always find something to complain about though- whether it exists or not.
@@yorkshirej2219 It's a chorus pedal - that was a rate and a depth knob he was playing with- not exactly rocket science- every chorus pedal has them, they're standard. Besides, he said he was messing with the rate and depth parameters. If you weren't set on complaining before you even started watching, you probably would've heard that.
@@yorkshirej2219 Thanks for proving my point- if you know how they work, then you knew what he was adjusting and had nothing to complain about. Especially considering he told us what he was adjusting- more than once.
She is ill and having various tests and procedures actually. You do realise sometimes videos are filmed in advance? Also people do still need to work and earn a living if possible even whilst ill 🤷♀️🤦♀️.
I am ill, and am having various tests at the moment. As I stated under the announcement video, it wasn’t a decision I made lightly or on a whim. I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown and there are a lot of things that lead me to my decision, which didn’t happen overnight. There is more going on in my life both emotionally and physically than is immediately obvious as I’m not one to talk about it openly. Please don’t add to that stress by making up imaginary scenarios and unnecessary drama - I work very hard at what I do and have always been a musician in my own right, with my own opportunities over the years that I got via my own hard work and love for music. Also for context, this video was filmed ages ago. Hope that clears things up.
Sure, do product demos and don’t even take 5 minutes to read the manual. You don’t know what a cross over (X-over) is and how it relates to bass effects? It splits the signal to the bands and puts the chorus on the high frequency half. At least try the switch out. These demos were flawed because you don’t know how the pedals work.
The best "chorus" effect for Bass or Guitar might not be a Chorus pedal. It could be any delay pedal, with a modulation setting, and the delay time set to OFF..... 🎛️ 💛 🎸
My life for more Cici and Lee bass videos.
Thank you for using a Squier, shows you can get great sounds with an inexpensive bass. Enchanting chilled playing by Cici too, I thought it was really really nice, good job girl. :)
Rocco Palladino does an incredible job on a Squier Jazz in The Andertones cover of Don't Start Now, Dua Lipa. ruclips.net/video/5T9ZKwha9nw/видео.html
Cici's response to the EHX was great. Just sounded and felt good. So awesome to be playing something, kick in a pedal and be able to say to yourself 'yep, that's what I wanted to hear'.
Cici killing it yet again. Never knew how much I'd enjoy bass videos but I watch every one.
2:51 I know Rotten Apple when I hear it :D, well done Cici!
Love this video concept demonstrating a bunch of one pedal type, I look forward to more!
love these vids and great work Cici !

The EHX Bass Clone also sounds excellent on guitar. Great pedal.
Electro Harmonix sounds great 👍🏻
Uuuuuh.....nice to see Cici again...long time no see ❤
I love it when Queenie tells us what she sees.
I'd include the Ampeg Liquifier in this list as well... really good sounding analog chorus for 119 €

Keep on the good work because that's what the people want : expertizing AND goofing 🧐
EDIT : and Cici playing "Rotten Apple" = raise💰
The NUX Analog Chorus is a BBD chip pedal with a Mix knob for $60. I've had it on my board for a couple years with no issues. I absolutely love it.
Well done comparison, as always. The Bass Clone has a really nice clarity.
A bit of constructive feedback... it would be helpful to say a pedal's name instead of "that one" or "this one" in future videos because it isn't always clear to the viewer which one is being referenced.
It doesn't help that bass players are easily confused people either

Love the comparison, between the pedals.
I like this comparison format. Thank you.
Greetings from a BigCommerce employee. Been a longtime fan of your content, and your online store is looking slicker than ever now 😁
The Mooer Ensemble Queen was my favorite. Another great demo, thanks guys!
Really impressed with the EHX Bass Clone.
the to blues have it, but the boss is still the king, cc playing fab , loved the vid guys.
thanks
The Bass Clone is a great pedal, use it every now and then. Impressed with the Moer pedal
I like the Ampeg Liquifier myself. I bought it after a previous review on here! It sounds utterly gorgeous with a fretless
Of the pedals in this video... well you can't beat a Boss can you
The Ampeg is my fav too!
Bass Clone won here, for mine

I like the original Small Clone for that 80s Goth tone. The Boss CE 2 is great too. I never liked made for bass chorus.
I like the Electro Harmonix the best. I got just a smidgen of chorus on my GT-1B but I'd seriously consider getting that one
For me it’s a toss up between the Electro Harmonix, the Walrus & the Boss. The Black Country one was very interesting.
Well done- the EHX sounded awesome to me.
Thank you for the comparison video. I, too, was surprized and impressed by the walrus. It would have been nice to hear them in stereo, but it makes sense that this was recorded in mono, to further respect the price point.
I miss my boss bass chorus it sounded awesome with high gain guitar cause of the low pass

First pedal (Mooer Ensemble Queen) was pure Led Zep No Quarter keyboard intro part
Thanks CiCi, Well done,I love these vids,
Ahhh... I love a good chorus. Rate down, depth up! Lovely.
Hey ah na na, innocence is over.

Do a amp / cab sim pedal shootout next
Earthquaker Devices Sea Machine are worth a look at
I like a bit of chorus on my Bodhran 😁
Does DG even have a chorus?
They have a digital model that they include on the e500 amp and ADAM pedal. No standalone.
I want the mid level boost (lol) or The Boss fer reals.
Alice in chains 🤘
EHX FTW
"We don’t know how it got here." lol
I use the TC Electronic June-60 as my bass chorus, and it's a great bang for buck chorus if you don't need knobs to tweak.
Nope
@@kierenmoore3236damn, compelling argument
Ehx is best but the boss is cool too
There is no "Best"
Oops wrong pedal lol
Again, the wrong username for Cici. Get it together Andertons.
Looks like it works.
Which one should it be?
@@dallanbyI think Cici added Strangelove to her page, or something like that.

I agree, just spinning knobs about and hitting switches with no context on what they’re meant to do to the signal.

@@CiciVonStrangeloveAwesome playing on the video, are you playing a song when you first demo the EHX Bass Clone? Sounds so familiar!
How can the guy presenting not know what the xover switch on a bass clone does? Do you need any knowledge to run a chorus shootout? Obviously not.
Can’t hear anything??? 😂
