1. look for thinner band lashes, easier to apply.
2. Measure the lashes against the eye, trim as needed (from the longer lash end).
3. Apply duo glue to the lash case. Then use the end of a brush (or similar) to apply glue to the lashes.
4. Wait for the glue to get tacky.
5. Apply Mascara and curl natural lashes (if applicable).
6. Look down into the mirror to apply them, chin up, look down.
7. Drop the lash in the middle of the lash line.
8. At the outside corner, gently tug and press the outside of the lashes in to place and pinch.
9. Look down and out with your eye. At the inner corner: Gently push the lashes on “under and up” to get the right shape and placement.
10. Gently pinch along the lash line from inside to out, slightly moving fingers to get a tight line of natural and false lashes.
For anyone else who wants these tips written down to refer back to! I have paraphrased a bit sorry ❤
He's so talented, people go after "insta beauty influencer" And such talent go un noticed
Thank u! 🖤🖤
I HATE Insta beauty influencers...the ALWAYS use too much product and their makeup never looks good IRL
I am 43 years old and i have never been good at doing makeup. I love you so much, I was able to put on false lashes on the first try just by doing everything you saif
I'm beginner
I love his honesty and voice. No gimmicks, no pretending, no flakey fakey.
Thank you xoxo from the Caribbean
Thank you, short and straight to the point. Definitely subscribing.
ebonystripes thank u so much!!! Xxxx
No, thank you!!
That "under and up" tip makes complete sense!! So simple, yet no one else has explained it that way... Thank you!!❤❤
i LOVE that you mentioned the angle to keep the mirror at! it really makes all the difference in the world 💕 i think your channel is my new favorite
Leah Doyle thank u so much!! It really is the little things that can make a big difference!! 🖤
Same! I'm a beginner and that was amazingly helpful!

If this doesn’t help me tonight I don’t know what will 👁 👁
if this doesn’t help me in 30 minutes idk what will 😭😭
Thanks! I'm 65 and your way of applying eyelashes is the only one that has worked for me!
Thank you from Kanab Utah USA 🇺🇸
I'm 34 years old and for the first time in my life I was able to apply my own eyelashes! So proud! Thank you for this video and for all the wonderful work you do! ❤

I am 42 and just got into makeup and this is so helpful. My already hooded eyes have become a little more hooded as I have gotten older so I am going to try lashes to make them look a little bigger.
What a treat to have a 5 year old video of Robert pop up in my feed! ✨🖤✨
Omg, been soo busy working that I've not been able to watch . Missed you more than I realized. Watching your videos just makes me smile. It's your personality and those lovely kind, warm eyes. You amazing talent and knowledge is just icing .
I love how short, sweet and to the point this was. Most of the other videos I saw were just overwhelming. Thanks for teaching my how to apply these! I've wanted to try then for years but didn't cuz I didn't think I could put em on correctly. I hate that I wasted so much time cuz irs really not even that hard. 💜💜💜
My inner corner always seems to unattach itself but I’m not sure what the problem is :-(
Mireille Gamboa hey Mireille sorry for the delayed reply! That’s such a common problem and happens ALL THE TIME! usually it’s down to the thickness of the rib, the type of glue and positioning. Lashes with thick ribs are more likely to unstick so makeup sure ur bending the rib before just by wrapping it around a brush. With the glue, make sure your not using too much and that you’ve given the glue about 30 seconds to partly dry. When your applying your lash, try my tip in the video where I look down, into a corner or with your other hand try gently pinching the bridge of ur nose to open up this area, sometimes lashes unstick because they aren’t applied close enough to the lash line in that corner. Hope this helps! X
Finding lashes that fit my eye type and getting them to sit the same way on both sides is what is hardest for me
Lol, my lost twin
@@UnityDoesWhatever you can cut them tho or buy the ones that are called something like “outer” lashes, or individuals lol there are many options
@@javierafigueroamoraga8316 yeah see I know all that! I’ve tried individual and honestly ion got time for that. 🤣I’ll look into the other one you’re talking about. But honestly I know how to apply it’s just that I don’t know what’s good for my eyeshape, cause my lashes always look droopy since I kinda have like puppy dog eyes for lack of a better term. I always seem to either cut them too short or not enough and they look flipping weird on my eyes or stab me I dunno, it’s a struggle. 😅
FINALLY! A guru who shows how to apply lashes! ❤❤❤
Finally! Thank you for the tutorial! This is really helpful because I always feels like I put my lashes in a wrong way because I have two different eye shapes. I love your videos! Can't wait to watch and learn more about makeups! 💕
Yessss! Thank you for this!! Also, love the sound and background!!!
Ugh Robert you have seriously taught me so much ❤️ thank you for sharing your knowledge
OMG! The MOST HELPFUL false lash tutorial ever! I can't believe it took me this long to find you. Subscribed!
I wear reading glasses and find it daunting to apply fake lashes. I have tried in the past and it always ends in a disaster. I just bought myself a magnified mirror and will attempt it using your tutorial for my 60th birthday. Thank you Robert :)
Best video I have ever seen for applying lashes, easy and to the point. Thank you!!
Thank you!!! This was spot on PERFECT!! I had never ever put on lashes before today… I wanted to wear nice lashes to my HS Reunion and not deal with a bunch of mascara! I was able to put on beautiful lashes first try, PERFECTLY!!! And they stayed on all night regardless of the fact it got a little warm a couple of times and I was sweating.. using lashes made my electric blue eyes pop even more than normal, and my eyes didn’t water all night from mascara irritating them!!! Ty for being here with a great video to show me how to do perfect lashes!!!
you make it look so flipping easy. I have struggled for years to put them on right. sometimes i can get one, but not the other. other times, it's a disaster. but i will try again with your video and pray it works.
same!
so glad i'm not alone! LOL@@nancybanerjee7906
Wow!! Those tips are everything! Where to look, head & mirror position is a game changer!! Thank You so much for sharing your knowledge with us!! I am totally grateful. 🌞
You truly do not get the recognition you DESERVE 🥺😭 thanks for actually helping a girl out 🙌❤
Thanks so much for this! I’ve watched a bunch of videos trying to figure out falsies and yours breaks it down in the most straightforward way. The hardest thing about lashes for me is that I have long eyes, so while many artists talk about trimming if necessary, I need more lash. Once I get good at your technique, I think the next thing I need to learn is how to apply those little individual sized lashes.
Also, this particular video doesn’t cover this product, but so many people I know swear by magnetic lashes because you don’t need a lot of tools and can easily carry them around and pop them in on the go. I see the appeal, but that wasn’t my experience. I personally found them much harder. They’re really heavy compared to standard falsies and I don’t know if my natural lashes are just too whispy/weak, but they won’t stay on long and are much harder to make small adjustments to.
This is the exact video I was looking for! Thanks for the attention to detail with the tips!
Thank you so much alot of those tips I've never heard before I have curly eyelashes and when I apply falsies it seems to be in the way and I get glue on my real eyelashes I will try your tips.
Thank you so much!! Exactly what I was looking for!! You are such a good teacher 🥰🥰
I just received my new false lashes and duo glue. Followed your video, and it was easy to put on. Thanks for the video. Keep them coming.
I have a hard time getting the false lash close to my lash line but I'm pretty sure if I follow this tutorial I will do much better. Thank you soooooo much!!!!!
The funny thing is I can usually get the first one on really good then the 2nd one just goes to sh*t 😂
Same. One will look perfect and then the next will be at a weird angle and then I’ll pull it off and mess up my eye makeup on that side and have to wash my face and scrap the whole thing.
Omg I have the same exact issue
U just got a new subscriber cus I been searching RUclips for half an hour for a straight to the point tutorial ❤️
Wow just stumbled upon this and it is the most helpful ever , I have been making all the mistakes... will try this in the morning!
This is the first time i saw falsies tutorial thats easy to follow esp the part to look down on the other side (fixing inner corner)
Oh my gosh you make me want to try again! Im a lost cause and i love a big full lash. Thanks
Thank you so much for this video! I was literally just complaining about how I am unable to just “pop on” falsies. This technique seems like it will be very helpful.
So I’ve always wanted to try individual lashes because they look so natural. I bought some and I didn’t know which ones to pick out and how many to use. Do you have any tips? I’d greatly appreciate it. Thank you and love your channel. I went to the store and almost bought everything from your essential eye brushes video. 🥰
Omg thank you!! I'm not make up savvy and you made this look so easy!!!
This was SUPER helpful! I'm going to give this a try tomorrow.
I made a resolution to finally master eyelash applications this year.
Your tips on the directions to look when applying seems like it will make all the difference.
I normally have issues with getting close enough to the lash line. So it always looks like it's hovering over my natural lashes like a shadow and don't blend together flawlessly.
Thanks for this vid! ^_^
How’d it go??
Very helpful Robert, thank you!
Why am i surprised.. literally the best and most practical way to set it up and apply it
Such amazing advice! I always have so much trouble, whether its getting the lash to stick, getting a close finish or getting the lash to not stick to my fingers D:
I GOT THEM ON AFTER SO MANY TRIES THANK U OMG UR LEGIT MY BIAS NOW
Please do a step by step for hooded eyes with a verbal explanation. You're the best xo
See... step by step..how much easier can you make it... great video as always👍
I’ve been trying to use forceps because I thought it might be easier. I’m getting rid of those after watching this! Thank you!
Such a pretty smile and those teeth are dazzling! Thank you for these helpful hints.
Wooowww wat a phenomenal video hadent really seen such a smallest n the most precise video on applying the bizarre eyelashes.... ever
This video was actually helpful. Unlike most false lash ones. Thanx
Something so simple as using a mirror the way you teach made all the difference in the world. I used to do it on the bathroom mirror looking straight away and always struggled to stick those suckers properly and it would take forever. Just placing the mirror that way cut the time it takes me to put them on so they look nice by half (and not unsticking and sticking again I feel makes the lashes themselves last longer cause you abuse them less)
Always struggled with applying it in the right spot. Tried that mirror trick and got it on perfect 1st try!
I'm still very new to falsies so it's a bit of a learning curve for me, but I definitely find the hardest part is the angle the lashes end up in. When applying them by hand, I end up with a gap between my lash line and the band. When applying with tweezers they end up in more of a 45 degree angle in comparison to my natural lashes.
Only question I have would be lash care. I'm very green with everything makeup related, so do you toss them and buy a new pair each and every time or is there a cleaning method?
Thank you for this video, it does help a newbie like me tremendously! I especially appreciate the trimming section, as I never knew which side to clip without ruining the style of the lashes.
By the way I love your videos are very educational and in depth hands on great job and I truly appreciate your honesty and respect plus your efforts and teaching others to apply cosmetics properly kisses 💋💫🌈
thank you robert. im encouraged. i could never figure this out before and ruined many an eyelash. my question is how do i get those lashes to adhere when i have powder on my concealer?i dont know if it would work to try to powder and set the concealer before applying the lash. ill look and listen for an answer.thanks again!
I love your tutorial. I found it very helpful! Applying false lashes are my only weakness. I always have trouble with them staying on. Not sure if I'm waiting too long for the glue to get tacky or not long enough. 😞🤦🏽♀️
Hi Robert,
Just found your channel and I love your videos. You have great information and you are so helpful!
I’ve never used fake eyelashes before and I was wondering if the lashes can be reused?
Thanks so much for your time.
Tanya
Thank you Robert!
This is so helpful!
YESS I LEARNED!
Wonderful tutorial ❤
Thank you. I'm a beginner and I have the most difficult time applying lashes. I'll try this method out.
Omg i needed thisss....
Thank you for this video! While I can easily put lashes on other people, I always struggle with applying false lashes on myself! I struggle with getting the inner corner in place and usually give up because it won't stick
this is helpful will try this and see if it works. I always wanted to put falsies but I tend to skip it because I find it difficult
NICE TIPS, thank you!
This is amazing thank you so much!!! Any recommendations for a good length lash for people who wear glasses? Or specific lash? I find they knock against my glasses all day and when I try to buy the shorter length lashes they’re marketed as “natural looking” and then I can’t tell I’m even wearing any lashes lol. Hard to find big volume shorter length 🧐
I love how robert actually shows you how to do it instead of just " thats how you do it"
Will try this and let you know if I get any success! 😀
You are the best!!! I literally used your blush, contour , highlighter and concealer tips ...especially the DO NOT BAKE and thank you!!! Finally don't look caked on and I always get compliments on my eyeshadow but I had friends compliment my face saying it looks so much better!!! You fucking rock!! Now to learn eyebrows and and lashes! Lol
Never done false lashed before I got some to give it a go was wondering how many times can you use them and are they easy to take off and should they be cleaned some how and what is the best way to remove them and clean
lol managed my left eye, but cannot stop flinching when attempting on the right eye! help!
This was the first time I was able to apply lashes in a way that actually looked decent. I have a small eye shape so it’s difficult to apply them. I’m also wondering how to figure out how long they should be or how much to cut
Gorgeous eyes... before and after the lashes:) ❤️
Hi Robert, discovered your channel recently and I became addicted.
I would like to have a tutorial about how to wear individual lashes for a very natural result ( I think about black swan actress but something I can do every day... )
Thank you, I enjoy watching you.
Thank you so much❤
Very good Robert you make it look so easy. I just saw a another RUclipsr put her lashes on the same as you I putting the glue only lasted cell and then putting it on your eyelid above eyelash line. However I saw another RUclipsr who did it a little differently. She first of all put eyeliner on her eyelid then she put the glue on the Lash and put the lashes on just above the eyeliner on her eyelid then she put another swipe of eyeliner at the top of the eyelashes to finish that off. Have you ever tried the magnetic lashes would you like to try that and show us thank you be well and stay safe love your Channel love your personality and you're very educated so I think we think you know what you're doing
Great video!!!
I always wonder where people put their lashes while they're drying. I freelance and I still hold them until they're tacky because when I try to rest them on the tray, some of the glue always seems to rub off. Please help! Waiting around for glue to dry down is a time-killer. Thanks!
Hi Robert, great videos. I’m 45 and have been using makeup since my teens but you still teach even me stuff I didn’t know 💖I’ve always struggled with lash application. Can you please tell me, when we apply the lashes, are we applying them to the eyelids or the eyelash? Thank you 💖
This! This is what I want to know. Lashes or lids??
Hi. Dint quite catch the use of the lash curler. Kindly elaborate on its use
I’ve got short lashes and hooded eyes, it’s so difficult for me to put on falsies 😭. I love watching your videos tho so informative I’m such a huge fan ❤️
Do you have any tips for glueing it underneath the natural lashes
Thank you !!!!
I have a really hard time with getting the inner part to stick on the right part. I’m going to try ur technique! But, I really struggle with this!!
Thanks! I am 30 and I don't know how to do makeup, regular mascara is the only thing but tomorrow I have a photoshoot and bought my self some lashes to help make my eyes pop
Hi, I wanna ask what k8nd of lashes will go on a hooded eyes, and really like you videos
Do u have any video on doing the lashes under your eyes leds
I need advice how to keep the lashes from lifting off the lash line an hour after adherence.
I chose this video because I saw a man and thought, “this video should be straightforward with minimal talking” and I was not wrong! Excellent directions! Thank you! 😘
HELP ROBERT!!!! Lol Im a new subscriber and im finding that you're the BEST MUA on all of RUclips. But I have deep pitted acne scars and I've NEVER been able to find a single video for deep ice pick scars. Could you PLEASE PLEASE give me some advice for applying makeup on my face. I've tried pore filter and a few other products by in very curious what you suggest with AMAZING skills???!! Love your style BTW!!!
Thank you❤
For me the absolute toughest part of trying to put on lashes... is my depth perception. Even when I follow guides to the dot, I can never seem to get them close enough to the lash line and I have this big gap in between.
Granted, some of the problem is most likely due to lack of practice, but it's tough to keep trying when the result doesn't really change, if that makes sense.
That being said, you break it down into more basic elements and such, so maybe I can afford to try again. How long is it that you need to wait for the glue to get tacky? And what is your stance on magnetic lashes (and the magnetic liners some companies sell)?
Thank you for this tutorial I have always struggled with false eyelashes❤️❤️
Jake Chapman my pleasure!! I hope it helps u out! Xx
thanks for this video 👍
Manish Ranjan Singh no problem!! Hope u liked it xxx
Thank you
Thank you so so much I have watch 1000s of videos on how to apply eyelash you said the magic word at the inner corner you said push under and up to the lash line 😢 boxs later and 3 years later I now know where exactly to put the glue on the F.lash I was putting the inside the band 😮and sticking them directly to my lashes 😅😅😅 I'm from Ireland 😂😂 that says it all
Everything about applying lashes is difficult. Hoping this will help. If some eyelashes are broken, is there something, specifically, that can be done to help.
Thank you
Nica
I'm a goth and have a really hard time applying my goth makeup regarding the eyes and lipstick also I'm introducing the fake lashes into that I tried before and failed but I'm hoping that I'll be able to do it well next time around any tips would be great
