@@a-okayl1504Mojang monetizes bedrock with the marketplace, the mods on there are at best eh though. I doubt they’d want the community to make much better mods for free at that, just like Java is right now.

Quoting someone in a different video explaining why Bedrock modding is not worth it: "As anyone who's watched a video about Nintendo 64 decomps is aware, decompiling C++ into a functional recompileable (and moddable!) form is a significant pain in the mushrooms. You need to give the decompiler notes about which chunks of machine code mean what and where they are, for it to spit out anything remotely functional (let alone readable as C++ instead of massive barf-blobs of assembly). That is what PDB maps are for, in this context. It's possible to go without them, but it's a massive pain, and even if you don't deliberately modify anything, what you recompile is not guaranteed to work the same as the original (again, look how much effort it took to get Mario 64 to byte-for-byte recompile back into the original ROM)." If I got it right, it basically means that in order to mod the game you need to break down the system on which it runs into small manageable pieces. On Java it's an easy process to put it back together into a Java-readable form, but on Bedrock's engine (C++) you gotta tell the program what is each piece to get something that at least functions enough to not burn down, and it's nearly impossible to get it back in the original format.

Had that before, here’s some things you can try: Make sure your mod versions are compatible, turn up the memory allowance in the minecraft launcher through installations as shown in the video, try taking out other mods out the mod folder, try the very recent versions of distant horizions and iris. If that doesn’t work let me know :)
Worked a treat for me. I kept on having major stuttering issues and running about 40fps just on a 128 distance setting and like a 10 chunk render distance. I got a Ryzen 9 5950x, RTX 3080, and 128GB Ram. Using the mods you showed and the launch parameters, it has completely negated the issue and now running a smooth flat 100fps. Thank you for the fix!!
@@Cody_Rogers that’s interesting, i have 8GB with an allowance of 6GB and get up to 30fps, i would recommend either lowering render distance or shader quality, medium quality can still look really good ^^
That memory usage (top right of f3 menu) is absolutely insane. You're hitting your memory cap every few seconds which is what's causing the stutters. I'd recommend using the java arguments to change the garbage collection behavior so you won't get those massive stutters every few seconds. If you want I can try to paste the arguments I use.

Just paste it all right on the end of all the arguments that are already there (with a space before it) and it should work. Try photon shaders or complimentary shaders, and made sure to get the most recent releases of them compatible with your version. Photon looks quite similar to Bliss too, and some shaders just won’t function if computer specs are too low unfortunately :

Might be low PC specs, if not, you could have other software/apps running in the background. Also try the shader at a lower quality or no shader at all and see how long the distant horizon chunks take to load ^^
Try looking through the modrinth page for the shader, if not, go to Asianhalfsquat’s channel on the distant horizon mod, i think he has a link there :D

i have a problem where the shaders cause a very bad quality for the distant chunks and also trailing / frame tails, meaning when i move the camera while seeing a mountain with the sky in the background for example, the mountain creates kind of a trail, anyone know why
Love the video. I must say that I wasn't expecting a good performance with a 3060 and an i5 10400f. Nonetheless my game somehow runs very smooth around the 60fps. I just followed the video instructions I'm very surprised.

@@kudner i did it from ur link and i have this exact same issue. someone on reddit said you have to use the official minecraft launcher (i made my modded game through a curse forge config) so if thats true then that would explain why it was happening to me. lmk if that solves ur issue because i can't be bothered to build a new mod folder back up
I recently switched minecraft from forge optifine to fabric sodium and i did that only to use distant horizon and shaders. After switching, i found that shader compactible with DH are good but not on par with complimentary re-imagined. And i also tried complimentary with sodium but i was shocked that it doesn't looks so good. Complimentary + optifine is on another level. I think sodium does gives fps boost but if you playing in a good enough pc go with forge optifine and complimentary. It sure wont give you 200 render but you'll get 50 render with best visual graphics ever.

I had no issues with mod installation, but when I started with adjustments, my graphics became all jittery, and when swinging weapon, I could see its trail on the blocks next to me. Any idea which setting is responsible for that?
I mean most of these mods are in beta or alpha still so its kinda glitchy idk if that has to do anything with your situation you can try messing around with your settings
Tried forge, it’s possible but it’s much more likley to overrun and crash and shader visual glitches can get crazzyyy, epilepsy warning 😅 So it will work if you have high specs and not using shaders but it only ran for me on there for 3 minutes, and that’s with 8GB

hey, this is pretty late compared to when this video was posted, but im having this weird issue. I have everything loaded and working, and i can render the world and play properly, but for some god forsaken reason my hotbar goes away when i turn on shaders. I cannot for the LIFE of me figure out why, but please let me know if you have any idea what might help with this.
oh yeah u got a pretty good setup frfr alot more horsepower than i got. im running a gtx1050 with an I5 n i got DH working i had to get indium sodium iris, but it takes so long to load chunks that its really no point my render distance is the same with or with out it, its actually faster running with shaders without distant horizons. but thats on my low level pc. i will try out chunky i have DH and the others i said before along with the bobby mod. lemme know if u know of any mods that would help me further.
edit: I'm dumb, misread a couple files lol--will be joining the disc for the 1.20.4 zip Appreciate the tutorial about the config, but the iris file you have in the description has half 1.20.1 mods and half 1.20.4. Does that not matter for compatibility?

if you have an nvidia gpu you may be able to use nvidium too
Unfortunately, nvidium doesnt work with shaders. Great mod though!

have you tried also using the PTGI HRR 3 shader? does it also work with DH with all the edits you did?
hey, this is pretty late compared to when this video was posted, but im having this weird issue. I have everything loaded and working, and i can render the world and play properly, but for some god forsaken reason my hotbar goes away when i turn on shaders. I cannot for the LIFE of me figure out why, but please let me know if you have any idea what might help with this.

oh yeah u got a pretty good setup frfr alot more horsepower than i got. im running a gtx1050 with an I5 n i got DH working i had to get indium sodium iris, but it takes so long to load chunks that its really no point my render distance is the same with or with out it, its actually faster running with shaders without distant horizons. but thats on my low level pc. i will try out chunky i have DH and the others i said before along with the bobby mod. lemme know if u know of any mods that would help me further.
What does editing that config file do?
Can you drop a shader settings showing your bliss shader settings or is it just unconfig. bliss shaders?

Why did you do 1.20.1 instead of 1.20.4?
I don't have the config file or the c2me.toml file, is this gonna be a problem?
You need to boot up the game once for a config file to be created.
edit: I'm dumb, misread a couple files lol--will be joining the disc for the 1.20.4 zip
Appreciate the tutorial about the config, but the iris file you have in the description has half 1.20.1 mods and half 1.20.4. Does that not matter for compatibility?
As long as under compatible versions it lists 1.20.1, you're good
I have a RX 5700 XT and for some reason I only get 30 fps. I’ve seen people get way more with weaker cards than me.
If you are using shaders, this makes sense. Also this may be because of a high DH render distance.
@@Shadow.Tech990 I was using bliss shaders and around 200 chunks, I also had some performance mods installed.
@@timeblade That performance seems accurate. Make sure you have the mods "C2ME" and "Noisium."
@@Shadow.Tech990 I don’t know man, i’ve seen people with gtx 1660’s get way more fps with shaders and more chunks. It can’t be the ram because I have 32 GB so I don’t know what the issue is.
@@timeblade Allocate 8GB of RAM, keep render distance at 128, and get the 2 mods I said. And who are you seeing get better fps with a 1660? They could have a better CPU then you.
