It definitely has enough stopping power if that is the question. In a later video we fire it into some gel block with a hollow point round and man did it perform very well! Watch out for that release and thanks for the question.
I'll be honest, I've heard better & more accurate descriptions of the history .45LC. It seems handloaders like because it be loaded from mild to seriously powerful.
Hearing you repeatedly call it by the wrong name over and over, as you try to give a train wreck summery of its history. Just makes it hard to take anything you say seriously.
@@lens7859 Plus there's a different loading specification for regular long colt and the long colt from a Ruger revolver or a T/C handgun. A truly adaptable cartridge.
The 45 long Colt moniker came about to distinguish it from the later 45 Colt Government not the Schofield.

The original 1870s 45LC was a real thumper, at 255 grains LRN flying at 1,025 fps with an impact of 600 ft/lbs through a 7.50" barrel.

Every manual I have says …45 Colt aka (Long Colt) so he is not wrong, just more common to say 45 Colt
