Very nice job
Thank you
Looks good Andrew 👍
Thanks 👍
A cheap electric motor with a speed control running a rubber roller would enable you to spin the tank/barrel/whatever at a uniform speed and lets you automate your cutting process. You could even use it for welding round tube stock up, or with a plasma cutter rather than a cut off wheel.
It might even lend itself to the addition of a weighted arm which would hold a cutting wheel at a known pressure and then a variable spin rate from the motor would ensure a perfect cut.
A worm gearbox off a motor stand for intricate work.
Use a piece of All thread and nuts weld feet with rubber attached to help support smaller diameter rings.
Rough idea can be tweaked with above idea.
I had kicked that around, but the tank doesn't spin perfectly, I would wind up with a poor cut I am afraid.
Outstanding. Does your mind every take a break & breath? Your projects are awesome and your tips amazing and so helpful. Great video Andrew. I didn't catch the packer. So nice to see you have more than one new tool for your projects.
No ma'am, I'm always thinking. We had an amazing company reach out to me and made me an offer I couldn't turn down. I already use their tools and believe in them, so it was a no brainer.
Sweet mods . Looking forward to new builds!
More to come!
Oh new saw 👀👀 oh boy it looks awesome
It is! Love it!
Lookin good Man!! Definitely a good idea being able to adjust the rollers. 👍👍
Thanks 👍
good to see you got your packer!
Yes I finally did, now to put it to use.
@@TKCL i guess im the only one that noticed this time lol! oh and big improvement on the roller stand! great job there bud!
Nice

Do you have any videos of you talking about what you did before you started RUclips full time?
This one hits on that subject some ruclips.net/video/bYwDRsmpWss/видео.html
@@TKCL Thanks Andrew! Love the channel!
Have you thought about making an arm that would hold your grinder, where you could just continuously turn the drums, and it would cut with just the weight of the grinder.
I have, but the drum moves enough that my cut would not be clean.
Yet another awesome project from the creative mind of Andrew Kelley. Well done Andrew, I am in awe of all of the projects you come up with.
Thank you very much!
Couldn't help but notice the green forks on the red tractor, looking to do the same. Did you locate an adapter or did i miss a fabrication video?
You missed a fabrication video ruclips.net/video/GD5Ua0LIjac/видео.html
👍👍
Is that a magnetic measuring tape??
No it's not magnetic
whats the wall thickness of those tanks?
3/8
How much $ do the tanks cost roughly ? Just wondering how much would I expect to buy a tank for and make some fire pits ?
They are very hard to find, when you do expect to pay $500 and up for the big tanks.
@@TKCL thanks & great job with the channel
Hello how much do you sell them for and shipping to South Carolina
Currently have a long waiting list and no more tanks. Sorry
👀👀
A arm to hold a plasma cutter would be ideal.
I considered that, but plasma leaves a rough finish that requires a lot of grinding.
hi there really nice . how do you come by those tanks . my 30 year old fire ring has about had it , john
I use to have a company I could buy them from, but I lost that contact a long time ago. I am trying to find more.
Graat video. 😊
Looking good:)
Wouldn’t moving the lags in and out over and again just chew up the holes? Or are they actually carriage bolts??
These will not be moved but a few times, I don't expect any problems. If I do, I'll run bolts and nuts.
TKCL, If you have rectangular steel tubing that fits the fork adapter of your tractor, you can cut 4 of them and weld those casters on one side. Drill a hole on the other side then weld a nut (1/2 in) aligned with the hole for a T-bolt to be screwed in for adjustability. Then you have a rotisserie roller that you don't have to bolt and unbolt the caster. It will be easily adjusted for any length and diameter of round material that you want to cut. Just a suggestion. BTW, Loved the 14" Evolution chop saw.
Good idea, but I have to be very careful with sparks around my tractor, they damage and rust everything. I love that new Evolution saw!
Hey Andrew, Check out a siphon Style ( Wet Sand Blaster ) attachment for a Pressure Washer. My son bought one and he loves it ! He used it to blast his 6' x 12' Utility Trailer and then primed and painted it and he said it worked amazing ! ! ! You are not breathing in any sand dust because there is none because its wet and falls to the ground !
I actually bought one myself, but I need to find the sand for it.
Andrew, could you put round stock on casters and drill the 4x4 with multiple holes for different size tanks.
I'd rather not trust that design, some of these tanks are almost 2000lbs.
Hi, Andrew! You have a great creative mind! I don’t think you even realize just how talented you are. I could watch you all day long working in your shop. I enjoyed the livestream Sunday. My reception remained perfect on my phone for the entire time.
Thank you so much
An upgrade you can do down the line is make a stand with a articulating arm and attach a plasma cutter head to it, make it removable like the wheels and screw it to the wood. Them you just have to roll the tank on the wheels.
I had considered it, but that plasma leaves poor results and makes me do a lot of sanding.
Would a plasma cutter instead of a cut off wheel do any better when cutting up one of those tanks or is there too much slag and finish work after?
No, it makes even more work with a ton of grinding.
Really like those speed horses. Got to get me a pair someday.
They are awesome!
"Sweet" Thanks Andrew...
Thanks for watching
how much you sell the fire pits for if you don't mind me asking?
It's all over the place. Depends on the size and availability of the tanks. Right now I'm struggling finding any tanks. Anywhere from $250-500 for pits depending on all the factors above.
There is a yard of tanks on Boyd Road, just east of 19. Just need to figure out who owns them.
Why not use acme threaded rod?
Not sure what you mean
@@TKCL run it like a gantry. Threaded rod would hold the wheels and you could run the wheels in or out using a drill. Not entirely sure what it would be called, but think something along the lines of a cnc table. Would make it much easier to reconfigure than manually having to move bolts every time. Just a thought.
Hi Andrew, another great project, you think of every thing and make it work. Enjoyed your video and see all the progress you make each time. 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
Thanks 👍
Nice upgrade you might consider using some T nuts/captive nuts on the wood and use bolts instead of lag screws.
If I see any stripping issues I'll definitely move to bolts.
Good day to all.
Good morning
Man, an idea doesn’t sit in your head very long! I like the first version but you’ve made a tremendous improvement here! Much more versatile!
I stay awake with a busy mind
@@TKCL hahaha. I bet so. Good for us though.
Yet another silent film... These are so boring. Voice over at least. Tell us what your doing. Talk to us.
There was quite a bit of talking in this one.
@@TKCL i didn't think so, tell us what your cutting, " this is a piece for that" or whatever your doing. We watch every one of your videos but we stop when there isn't talking. I'm sure it's hard to film and build but you have the personality to talk to us while your building. Watch some I like to make stuff videos. He talks his whole video, sure he has a team to edit and create his videos. I probably won't unsubscribe from you anytime soon but man silent videos are boring dude.
