Quality content... You don't get much RUclipsrs explaining the legal side of things where designing and POD licenses are concerned, so, when I come across someone like you, that takes the time to explain this side of the business, I know that you take your business VERY seriously, and as such, you have now gained a new subscriber.
people ask me a lot of questions about this and it's actually pretty simple so thought I would create a video about it, just always remember to never use anything "as is" and use these types of websites as a tool for actually creating designs, then there should be any issues and thanks 😄
Hi Paddy, Thank you for all of your wonderful videos. They are really helping quite a lot! So, I just signed up for a free subscription trial. I downloaded a 113-page planner. Do I have to go in and change all of the fonts on every word?
Hi Stackin, thanks for this quality contents, you mentioned I can't sell or use what I already downloaded after I cancelled my subscription, how about things I downloaded and already use during my subscription.
I’m a little bit confused about the last paragraph regarding the Full POD License. It says “You are not allowed to create new designs when you stop your subscription. For example, once you cancel your subscription, you are not allowed to create new ‘Quotes / Banners / Shirts / etc.’ and sell those items (this limitation does not apply for craft files. You can keep using craft files forever, even when making new designs).” But what exactly are craft files? Also, I’ve heard some people say that we should only use graphics with the ‘Print On Demand’ license, which is only a selection of graphics out of all of the graphics in Creative Fabrica. Is there any specific benefits that this license offers compared to others? Should we always select the ‘Print On Demand’ box when searching for graphics in Creative Fabrica? Thank you 🙏🏻
if you cancel your subscription you can not create and sell anything with the files you previously downloaded if you use anything "as is" you will need the POD license, don't use as is and actually use their graphics as a tool to create designs and you don't have to worry about anything like I explained in the video
@@StackinProfit I wouldn’t use anything exactly “as is” but I guess the challenge is figuring out how much I need to modify it in order to stay within the rules. I don’t know if simply combining multiple graphics together, or if slightly tweaking the color of a graphic qualifies as having modified the graphic to a good enough degree. I wonder what amount of modifications I would need to perform in order to adhere to Creative Fabrica’s rules.
Making low content books in book bolt is the easy part, but the margins are a real pain. Book bolt says that as long as all the content does not extend that green border while adding content to the templates than kdp won't see it as an error. Although even with no content extending outside the green border, I still receive messages of incorrect margins. Can you go over the margin settings for the cover of the books and the interior pages of the book because I always get an error message saying the book can't be published due to margin errors or trim size errors.
I personally have not used bookbolt like this, I use Tangent Templates and their Print-Ready Paperback Cover Template I still get issues with KDP from time to time to time, even when the book is perfect but all i do is do what they say in the email and everythings usually good after that :)
Hello stacker, can u tell me pls which creative fabrica's option choose to rake their pictures without changing and dont breake privet policy / copyright
How do you "modify" a black line art illustration that is already so basic? If you create a page for a low content book in canva say a word search, or sudoku, then add a black line art image from creative fabrica to the page to decorate it, is that considered "using as is" or is that considered part of a new design?
Hi there. I used Creative Fabrica for a couple of books, but I changed my subscription plan because right now with this Christmas in July sale it's less than half the price I was paying before. Should I be concerned that the graphics I downloaded are through the subscription I opted out of? Didn't used anything "as is".
What about patterns and backgrounds? There's nothing to alter. I've used at least 2 of these, but I've put text or 1 or 2 other graphics on top of it. But the background is the same as what came from the site. I don't see anyone talking about this (watched the video twice to make sure I didn't miss it), so I thought I'd ask. I guess you can't just slap a background on a book cover and sell it, but it is still just a background/pattern. I mean if you have a background of polka dots and someone uses the same one from Creative Fabrica, but they have a different title, is that okay? Seems so.

@@StackinProfit sir what about sudoku and word search?
I bought this 2023 Planner today, it's great and completely editable and this store is great. Thanks so much for making such a video.

You are so welcome

You I do

What if I never subscribed. Can I still use the designs from the website and modify them?
loved your video really helpful, does this go for stock imagines in canva aswell? thanks
thanks and canva would have a different licensing agreement so you will have to read it
Love your videos and your teaching style!. Thank you.
You are so welcome! :)
Can we use interier pages?
Thanks!
No problem!

if you're able to do that then I highly suggest doing that because it will make it different form the original :)
@@StackinProfit Okay thank you. From a legal standpoint though would I be violating any policy?
Hi Stackin, thanks for this quality contents, you mentioned I can't sell or use what I already downloaded after I cancelled my subscription, how about things I downloaded and already use during my subscription.
if you have products that are already up for sale and or selling then you can keep on selling them when you end your subscription

craft files are things like sewing patterns etc.. totally different market

You’re welcome 😊
So if the insert was from creative fabrica, we need to tick “ tool” in kdp? Sorry my English is not very well and I don t understant 100%. Thanks
if it is an AI graphic then yes, if it is not an AI graphic then no
hi, paddy thank uu, can we use clipart and digital stamps to create coloring pages and sell those on CR itself?
the short answer is no
How do you "modify" a black line art illustration that is already so basic? If you create a page for a low content book in canva say a word search, or sudoku, then add a black line art image from creative fabrica to the page to decorate it, is that considered "using as is" or is that considered part of a new design?
that is considered part of a new design, using "as is" is using with little to no design work
Can you use an AI image created by yourself on Creative Fabrica Spark?
it would all depend on what AI platform that you use and their licensing
Can I modify the interiors and sell as digital download ?
depends on who you're trying to sell to. you couldn't sell them for commercial use, they wold have to be for personal
Thank u
Welcome

even if you changed your subscription you still have a subscription right? if so then you should be fine
Yes. Thanks for your answer and for the summer sale tip
Thanks a lot
Most welcome
Do you have to modify characters, like cute drawn animals?
it's not about "modifying" it's about using the graphics in combination with other graphics, elements and fonts to actually create a design :)
@@StackinProfit thank you
