Love the message and the music and loved Michael Franti ever since seeing his first band The Beatnigs tearing it up in small San Francisco clubs back in the 80's. Literally tearing it up - they brought grinders and other power tools and wailed away on pieces of metal while doing songs like Burritos, which has one of my favorite lines: Ronald Reagan don't eat no burritos. I dunno - maybe you had to be there & then to appreciate the sarcastic humor. His music has gotten more sophisticated but he's still fighting for a better world - he's always been a musical messenger saying things that need to be heard. More Michael Franti please.
