I have never been a “‘fan” of watches but my younger brother has a panerai… i put it on one day and i was like 👀👀👀 … i immediately understood the allure …
Great simple video. Reminder that there are models in the current and back catalogs that take the Panerai theme down to a more moderate size. The PAM00512 and PAM00574 are good examples of the 1940's case in a very wearable 42mm thin case.
Love the modern look of the Black n Blue Carbotech, but i also really like the retro style of some of the other watches.... but I'm a big fan of Panarai's watches as a whole.
Been waiting for this. One of my favorite brands. Yes i'm aware of the in house movment controversy and every trivial things in between. I'm a lover of great design and history. I think they look great and has a rich history and they genuinely are trying to better themselves as a watchmaker. I will proudly rock my PAMs.
Looking for a women's watch? The 38mm Luminor Due line is worth considering. The Luminor Due Goldtech Madreperia PAM01280 is a real stand-out in the collection.
The Panerai crown guard is a showy affectation that makes the Omega Seamaster escape valve look positively subdued. I’m not sure I’d pursue a watch immortalized by the Italian navy . . .
Another very moderately-toned commentary on a somewhat controversial brand. I can understand why folks don’t like Panerai. The size. The history. Stallone. All pretty irrelevant at this point. Self-inflicted social media wounds and lots of competition spells trouble. But I’m old. I love the design. I love the Rolex connection and a genuine claim to the California dial. And the size is part of the history. That said, authenticity is a real issue with Panerais. Finally, Ralph Lauren comment is silly. Panerai is for diving, not strolling in the Hamptons.
Nah, hard disagree. I was hoping Oisin was gonna hijack this video and pick out his top 5 occasions Panerai's 1. Panerai Hulk 2. Panerai Date Just 3. Panerai Pasta Dweller 4. Panerai Brio 5. Panerai Pizza Perpetual Then Oisin would close the video out by slappin' da bass on a gondola in Venice.
This brand will become more popular when they will release a smaller version of a watch. Like it happened with the Longines Legend Diver - 36 mm and 39 mm versions. They are more wearable.
Panerai should learn how to do watches for the general population instead of majority cases as big as 44mm, it's not like Italians were any giants back then lol.
It'll be interesting to see if they join the trend towards smaller case sizes. They've made a 38mm Luminor Due before, but it cut some corners in terms of a downgraded movement and only 30m WR.
It's possible to get a smaller Panerai. I bought the PAM072, 40mm and made of titanium. It may not have an in-house movement but I think the Zenith El Primero is still one of the better ones out there.
Love Panerai. Have one myself. Durable, masculine watches. Attractive too. Jason Stathum wears Panerai’s too. In his movies and off screen. They are SO cool.
I really like Panerai, own basic Luminor and love it. what I don't like is the brand history that is told - why are there no Panerais from the 60s or 70s? because there were few done by Rolex for Panerai in the 30-40s and than there was not much happening for them. In 1997 Richemont bought the brand and started to develop it together with the brand history / legend. Speaking of Richemont, ts never mentioned that Panerai is part of it and not an in-depended brand? Isn't that more important than the few watches used by the Italian navy to blow british ships? again big fan of the brand but lets tell the whole story and not only marketing
The biggest error from Panerai was in movie transporter with Jason Stathmam ..Panerai have alarm like digital watch…and I mean that panerai never produce alarm timepice
Because every high brand has some. Rolex has incredible clones too, Omega too. You have the best aqua terra replicas lately. No reason to free sponsor them
It actually depends on the dialect, as Pier Paolo Pasolini said (Italian linguist), there isn’t really an Italian language, rather different dialects through different regions with different influences. “Officine” is more of a Nordic approach, “Offiscine” is more of a Southern approach. Neither is wrong, just FYI from an Italian.
Funny that Ralph Lauren wears Cartier and Panerai instead of his own brand. If a designer won't wear his own creation, then what it say about the product?
As opposed to other brands, how exactly? All luxury goods are 80% marketing. The remaining 20% is quality and design. As you mention, Panerai has a fantastic design language. However, they also do some incredible complications that are often the domain of brands many times the average price. I picked up an Equation of Time (PAM 516) that would have cost tens of thousands more to acquire in a different brand. They've got minute repeaters, tourbillions, even their fantastic astronomy-based watch. They are no slouch on the technical end.
I bought a warn one (otherwise I only buy new), but it was so much cheaper. I have 2 say sometimes I like to jeans and leather jacket, but it’s not comfortable on the wrist, or I just have no panerai wrists;) I am more the 39-42 mm in reg shape guy.
You forgot to mention a tiny little detail about Panerai and the reason why the brand exists today. Sylvester Stallone wore the watch on a movie and that is why the world knows Panerai. Just an insignificant fact about Panerai. Better research next time.
When every other watch looks like every other watch. You can spot a Panerai across the room. Grail watch when I can afford one.
A particular watch for a particular person who has great taste.
Paneristi forever ✌🏼
i have the pam 312....great classic watch
I’ve got the Pam 1033 it’s a great watch
my favorite would be my newly acquired 973
GREAT FACT ON OLD RALPH LIPSCHLITZ OPTING FOR PAM AS GO TO OUTSIDE WATCH.

Love this brand
Excellent excellent video. Loved it.
Thank you very much!
Is there any place where we can fix the rotator broken of this watch ?
Tom Cruise talking watches.
Love that there are still lots of Panerai fans. Good vid. Thank you.
My favourite brand. I'm getting close to double digits in the collection!
Love the modern look of the Black n Blue Carbotech, but i also really like the retro style of some of the other watches.... but I'm a big fan of Panarai's watches as a whole.
Great Video. Panerai are awesome 👌
They're a bit naff & the Ralph Lauren connection would put me off more tbh. To each their own tho. Cheers 👍🏻

Do you want to purchase one , needs fixing on the strap n glass back its kinetic.

Hmmm.... I wonder what percentage of folks that own "dive watches" actually dive. 5%? No, perhaps 1%.... maybe less.
Excellent video. I enjoyed the concise and highly informative content.Too often watch videos focus on the host and their opinions and not the watches.

Panerai - YEAH!

Luminor GMT Power Reserve - 44mm PAM01321. No regrets with purchase

How does the 40mm wear? Like a 42? 44? I have even heard like a 39 (? How can it be?!) - the design is intriguing, but wearability worries me hahah
Il panerai è sempre il panerai 🤙

Great video! I am a proud owner of PAM00233 which I really love. Looking forward to buy another Panerai, still in the search...
Panerai Luminor Marine PAM1313 Blue dial
Of all my other watches, 423 & 1305 still in my everyday rotation. For me..Panerai = 47mm. 💪

316 for me. Sadly only 75 made and it was 110£k
I’ve got to get a base Luminor with the sandwich dial one day. Awesome!
What watch is he wearing?
The biggest error from Panerai was in movie transporter with Jason Stathmam ..Panerai have alarm like digital watch…and I mean that panerai never produce alarm timepice
And movie stars dont fall out of a plane and get shot at 100 times without dying. Its just a movie and in the movies any thing goes.
Hey my PAM359 featured…that’s my daily driver despite the size and weight. Makes the sub date and gmt master 2 feel like ultrathin watches 😂
I wonder why he didn't mention the large number of fake "real" Panerais...
Because every high brand has some. Rolex has incredible clones too, Omega too. You have the best aqua terra replicas lately.

Panerai you mean rolex right? It is a Dial maker
It is pronounced ""Ofitcheene" not "Ofisheene".
It actually depends on the dialect, as Pier Paolo Pasolini said (Italian linguist), there isn’t really an Italian language, rather different dialects through different regions with different influences.

Oh Ralph Lauren likes them? I'll take 10.
The man's got taste!
They replaced the screwdown back with a snap fit. Now they have movements that don't hack. $8k+ for this POS? I don' think so.
Please pick me for the giveaway 😫
Panerai explained in 3 seconds: marketing.
Don't be wrong, I've a 005 and I love it, but Panerai has nothing beyond its unmistakable desing.
As opposed to other brands, how exactly? All luxury goods are 80% marketing. The remaining 20% is quality and design. As you mention, Panerai has a fantastic design language. Going the way of the dodo
Going? Gone!
In 3 words : full B.S.
In other words, you want one but simply can't afford it.
Not quite sure on that pinky ring accessory. Looks odd with the turtleneck
I can explain Panerai in 2 seconds
They were hot. Now they are not.
