- I stopped by my local Thrift Store St-Vincent de Paul and a lazy Sunday afternoon and found some weird and unusual items. Still trying to find out what one of them actually is!

St. Vincent stores are really getting out of hand with some of their pricing! My 2 local ones always used to be my favorite haunts but they've honestly gone downhill. It's interesting seeing how yours compares. You still got some gems! ☺️💖
Yes I think everywhere the prices are becoming ridiculous but I think it's all relative to the region and cost of living. I find areas where it's a lower income on average, that's when the prices are more reasonable or if I go a little out of a main city. So far, I think the best prices are yard sales!

@@dejavuthrifting 100%! Same story here, location makes a world of difference! I have found St. Vincent in particular getting extra crazy though, and have heard others say the same. But that's why you're good at what you do! You can find the deals anywhere. ☺️

Jewelry at our St Vincent's here in Long Beach is stupidly expensive. Bags of picked over junk costume jewelry and bits priced at $300 . Even at 1/2 off they are no way near reasonable. I don't even look there anymore. Trashy decor items not much better. Clothing seems to be the only better pricing than goodwill does but worse quality of stuff..
I wonder why it differs so much like that. Also I just don't understand why they price it soooo high... the gold here is to sell. I will not sell if it's too high and then it is sent elsewhere or distroyed. I am perplexed by it.

LOL - It happens sometime.... my ADHD brain sometimes will hyper focus on one thing and not see the obvious.

The wine bottle holder looks like something from The Excalibur Hotel in Vegas. It really was a great piece for someone. Such a pretty brass dish w/the blue on top. Rachel, you found some trippy stuff that I had no idea what they were either but got a good laugh out of them too. The first jewelry case w/pins looked so pretty on that wallpaper? Made for a nice display.
