    "It is only awareness that is aware." This means SO much to awakening from the dream state.

    WoW...The mind (thoughts and images) find it exceedingly difficult to accept its own cessation,and we're conditioned to believe in a discontinuation of experience or death...How wonderful that Awareness (through Rupert in this video) clarifies this erroneous belief...WoW...Thanks for posting ...I Am Ever-Present, Eternal and Infinite !!!

    So he is saying, in other words, "Awareness has no beginning and no end. It is ever-present."

    To be fed up is also an activity of consciousness.

    Many people tend to forget that if you were truly not aware or conscious during deep sleep, how could any kind of stimulus wake you up? You must be aware during deep sleep.

    Could experience be continuous because the Universe is a continuum of continuous creation? Nice videos!!!

    Having looked at over 500 videos of Rupert I have never had an answer to what happens when we die. I understand what he his saying but it seems to me that we just go on being a 'blob' of awareness for all eternity which bothers me, don't we go on again with real experiences or maybe he is talking about incarnation to another body. I would like Rupert please if you would clarify the type of eternal existence we would experience, or if anyone would give me some answers. Love all of your videos, you have
    clarified so much for me except this issue I have, Breda

    So what happens in deep sleep? Is awareness aware of itself? The body-mind doesn't register anything. It's as if the whole machine has shut down. Lights out. But it's not darkness, it's a complete absence of anything: no experience and no memory of it. This is where I get lost. I don't understand what he's saying.

      +Scrumpilump2000 In Deep sleep there is no sense of thought /objective word therefore no time. In the waking state of thought there is an illusionary sense of time (past and future) we then presume with thought that there is a time-lapse in deep sleep even though deep sleep is instantaneous the moment we fall in deep sleep is the moment we wake up there is no time-lapse in our experience because the present is eternal/unchanging and infinite. The present is instantaneous in deep sleep as well in the waking state its just we have a very useful concept of time in the waking state to get about.

      +ttt72772 One can be conscious without thought in meditation, (sometimes!) but in deep sleep one is unconscious. ... no awareness till I wake up again. It's usually a few seconds after that mental/emotional activity kicks in. I have trouble with that part of the teaching too.

    • @MayaState
      @MayaState 8 лет назад +1

      +Scrumpilump2000 The key is to understand that awareness is never unique to any one person. There is no such thing as separate people or things from the experience of awareness, only the apparent perception of separation. We are fooled with ridiculous ease into taking our perceptions of separation as reality.
      The only reality can be true awareness, proven in EVERY experience, because it is the only part of any experience that can not and will not change. Every thing in our experiences has a birth and a death, and is therefore a part of that cycle of illusion. Keep in mind that thoughts and feelings operate in this cycle.

    • @kekfuszal

      Are you aware right now? Every single person will say yes to this question. No one asks the question: how do I know that I am aware? Who says that I am aware? Awareness does not say a thing. Thinking says "I am aware". Without thinking you don't know what awareness is. Thinking speaks about awareness. Awareness does not know what awareness is... Awareness can't communicate about awareness. It is impossible. You cannot possibly know what awareness is. There is no way. Only thinking thinks that it knows what awareness is. Whoever claims that "he" knows what awareness is, or awareness knows itself is fooling himself and everyone else. You can only think about it and play a game. There is no such thing as awareness. Thinking creates it. Without thinking there is no awareness, no experience and no you. Thinking doesn't want that so it is playing a stupid game and talk about awareness. It is only interested in perpetuating itself.

      _" no experience and no memory of it. This is where I get lost. I don't understand what he's saying."_
      ..if there is *no memory* or *no experience* what are you therefore referring to as "Deep Sleep"??..without any memory or experience whatsoever how can you claim to know what happened (or not) in Deep Sleep??...

    This is the very reason that death is not possible.

    • @MayaState
      @MayaState 8 лет назад +1

      +One Iam Death appears to be possible in every moment, down to your body's cells and beyond, along with birth, but you are right... neither can actually exist.

    @11:58 "the path to peace and happiness is this deep love and interest for the nature of reality" this may become a trap that reinforces the ego if peace and happiness are understood as desirable objects to get and which can be gotten only for a price, the price being the effort required for developing 'a deep love and interest for the nature of reality'. Because this deep love and interest is not natural/spontaneous. As such the seeker would go on a false path looking for means of acquiring them, i.e. practice= once i get my hands on this love and interest i see myself next to the cookie jar, and then groaning with pleasure while chewing on the sweet bliss inside...
    I suggest that the fed-up approach is not that wrong; however, is not about being fed up with the teachings that help clear the mind to see the false. It is about being fed up with living a lie, the false by continuing to trust the ignorant mind rather than the experience. It is an approach by negation of the false rather than the affirmation of the desire. Both situations aim to changing the mind but while the first one uses elimination [neti-neti], the second may become a trap for the ego. When the veil of falsehood falls from the mind then love and interest, peace and happiness may be experienced as one, from beyond mind.
