That's awesome! All of this data is reported to most cars' ECMs, but rarely is the data available without an OBD-II scan tool. I really like how Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep allows code readout with ignition cycling, sometimes manufacturers Get Things Right.
For the longest I been saying why doesn’t my car tell me the oil temp and tire pressure and even the digital speed gage. Well this video has solved all my wants. My 05 Chrysler just got even more bad ass, im loving this hemi I wouldn’t give this thing up for nothing. I thought those features only came in the 06 an newer ones. Well nope I got it too and i am loving it. This video just made my day 10x.
Yup! I'm surprised how much the manufacturer has given us with the EVIC. We have all of this just shown in the video. Turning the key acc/off three times displays any DTCs. I believe holding the odometer/trip reset button while turning the key tests your instrument cluster, all bulbs, and does a needle sweep so you can calibrate the needles if you ever took them off for some reason. I just keep finding things out.. :P And it makes sense. If the car has a DTC, why would you hide it from the customer if you can simply display it? Thanks for watching, by the way!
Thanks bud you saved my A$$. I had a starting problem and didnt have a battery tester. Found out my battery was screwed. And a 0-60 timer. Who doesn't want that? I can see the timer getting used A LOT 😃
Consider a gear swap. 2.82 (210mm ring gear) is what you have. For 300 bucks you can get a junkyard 3.06. Don’t take my word for any of this as I have yet to do this. 06-08 (3.06) SRT diff has 215mm ring gear with axels that fit your existing hubs but you’ll need to replace the back half of driveshaft. 09-2014 3.06 diff (215mm ring gear) fits existing driveshaft. You can use 09-2014 half shafts but they are bigger so you’ll need to change hubs. I “WANT” a 3.23 LSD but that’s big $$$$$
The one screen shot shows how much fuel is in the right side tank Vs. left side tank in Lt's.. The right side feed gas to the left side (drivers side) using an educator pump the fuel to the right side
i wished chrysler would have EVIC Display on V6s Chargers, and Challengers within the 06-10 (08-10 for challengers) year model. i know 2011 models has them standard. at least i have the Torque app to mimic the EVIC display
I agree, it would be good if they had the EVIC across all cars. It's such a helpful tool. Funnily enough, I've seen some 300s without the EVIC. Makes me grateful that this one that I bought, knowing nothing about the car, happened to have one
It'd definitely worth checking out! It seems dodge/jeep/chrysler/ram vehicles tend to take full advantage of the fact that if they have a computer and a display, why not use it! Thanks for watching, by the way!
I don't know the exact steps off the back of my head, but I'll try my best. If you look at the steering wheel you'll have a button with a compass on it, and it also has a "list" on it. Press the list button. Press it again if you have to; you should end up in "system". Using the up and down arrows on your steering wheel, you should be able to move up and down this list until you land on the language option. In Spanish, this should be something like Lengua. Use the "play" button on the steering wheel to enter this option and select English (or, Ingles). Hopefully this helps!
I was wondering the same thing, honestly. I figure either the car somehow didn't come with an oil pressure sensor (like how it didn't come with TPMS), or the oil pressure sensor thinger isn't working. Once I find out for sure what the deal is, I'll try and remember to come back here and let you know!
the vehicle is a V6 more likely no oil pressure sensor, just a sensor that doesnt read out exactly how many PSI it giving out. kinda like on some ford vehicles oil pressure gauge that goes to the middle and never move at all when u rev it.
Those are for garage door opener. I just programmed my girlfriend 300. 3 different buttons for 3 different channels. 1 could be for a gate (if you live in an apartment) 1 for the garage door, or 1 for again another gate or lift for work. If you Google it, you'll find an excellent guide. Tell you this much, when programming my garage door, I was parked outside the garage with the door open and a ladder set up to the unit as you will need to push the physical purple button on the garage door motor box within 30 seconds. Wasn't hard by any means.

This is great. I always like looking at my MPH.
Glad you found it helpful!

Agreed! Since the EVIC is a display, why not use it to display all the data? And they did just that, and it makes me real happy. :)

just worked on my 06 300c.Wish i knew this years ago.... I am picking up the new 300 next week
At least you know it for the new one!
That's really cool! There's so much info going into a car's computer these days, so it's nice to be able to pick and choose what shows up.

I'm very glad the video was helpful!!
And true. One helluva toy for the 300s that have it :P
What if you don't have steering wheel controls I have the touring model with the 3.5 which doesn't come with steering wheel controls

Omg I've been trying to do that for ages thanks for the video !!
You can also pull up miles per gallon and how many miles left in tank I figured that out!
How do I check how many miles per gallon on my 2005 Chrysler 300c
It's in the manual. Thanks!
So would there be a fuse just for the dash part that your showing ??
His oil psi was stuck at 99. This means that the oil pressure switch is bad.
what if your chrysler doesn’t have those bottoms on the steering wheel?
Good vid cause I forgot what buttons to hold. Btw your oil pressure sensor is bad. It's pretty common in these cars to go out
Thanks for the tip.
You're most welcome!

Anyone know where to find out the details about what many of these numbers indicate? I know quite a few but others I do not. Please advise
Look em up
Your oil pressure sensor is malfunctioning 99psi!!!! Replace it if you havent yet
Apparently (rumor is) some of the 300's don't come with oil pressure sensors, but have the same software for EVICS
@@TheRoadsHereSuck ummmm idk about that..i changed mine and its a bitch...almost better off removing fan and radiator to get at it..
@@yukonrott I'll bear this in mind. Perhaps I'll change it in the near future!

John Morganti right I had the same feeling I looked out side at my car like DAAAA FUUUUQ
I wonder if the 07 Commander has a similar combo... I have quite less buttons on the wheel :D

😂😂how you’re even fucking feeling
Does anyone know how to fix my steering wheel buttons ? I don’t know what’s wrong with them they just won’t work on my 2006 limited 300
I'm not sure if this is the answer, but my first guess would be to check fuses
Probably clock spring
Neat!
Always finding out something new about this car! :)
How do you reset it??
Were is the battery input for this located??
My one even does 0 to 60mph
