My dad had a heart attack when he was 69. The doctor told my sister and I to go in and tell him good-bye cause it didn't look good. We go in the operating room and lean over dad who is laying prostrate on the table. He's trying to say something. We lean in waiting to hear our dad's last words. He says, "Feed my dogs and lock the shop." (on the side, he lives for 28 more years. Sits at his desk and reads his 3 newpapers everyday. Keeps horses until he's 90. WWII vet, D-day three, all 5 major European battles.) I still hear him in my head. Everyday.
Best part of my week! I’ve been suffering with some very severe chronic pain the past weeks and, honest to God, this CAST and older episodes have been a saving grace for me. It’s the one thing I can always turn to to keep my mind off of my pain and gets me laughing. Pete and Sebastian, I’ve seen you both live and feel like you’re part of my family after all of these years. I absolutely love you both. Hugs thanks and hugs from Northern Minnesota!!! ❤️ See……..The Cast is changing lives! You can’t get that with other podcasts!!!

since he was 35. While they were prepping him for a valve replacement at 70 yrs of age, he made me take notes of what needed to be done at work for that day. On his 80th birthday, he had a defibrillator installed and reluctantly retired. Just the other day, at 85 yrs old, he told me he missed working. He has more lives than a cat. Lol
I NEEDED this laugh today more than any other day. Thank you both!! ❤️

The only time I know the my father missed work was when he had a stroke & even then at 80 years old he was working from the hospital bed & making nurses make calls & fax paperwork for him😂 He's 100 percent Italian, part Sicilian!!

Got a buddy (African American) had a major stroke at 78, and despite being retired on SSD and getting pension he stumbled back into his completely unnecessary job at Burger King, still suffering from global aphasia trying to take out the trash and clean lol. (He's still alive somehow at 82!)

I got covid in end of February 2020 - worse flu I ever had - but I only got it once thus far. The best news is I went to the doctor this past week and the doctor said I am healthier than most 20 year olds he sees. I am in amazing health and I just turned 62 - so na na na na na na gen Z. healthy food exercise lots of rest, and lots of laughs will keep you going strong. I am the wealthiest woman in the world with great health. Health is everything.

I got Covid 6/27, my wife 7/3/22.. were 70 & 72. Seemed like heavy duty allergies. We’re good. 🙏🏻 for your kiddies.
My 80 year old momz got it. She had mild symptoms and is doing well.

In regards to your discussion on drought... What makes being lectured on "wasting" water even more annoying is in actuality the technology of desalination has actually been around since the 1950's and was invented in California. Globally, more than 300 million people have been getting their water from de-salination plants for years now
It's 3:21 AM and I'm 4 hours away from home in a vacation "cottage" that has so many insects in it that they've been crawling on my body. I'm waiting for the sun to come up so I can pack and leave this hell. This show is keeping me sane right now. Thank you Pete and Sebastion.

The Cast today had me cracking up so much! Great as always. Side note: the library in my town stays open from 9am to 9pm. Lots of computers to use and to make copies for people that otherwise do not have access.

We are idiotic as humans. We should already quickly soap and rinse, and catch all soapfree water after that (enjoyment water) for the plants. Why frikkin waste it.
They shoukd throttle all showers in say gymns for 5 minutes, take a 3 minute break before you get 5 more minutes. We are going to HAVE TO LEARN to care. Why are we so careless?

These guys are so isolated from the real world. I live in an area that has 2 factories, hospital & a couple nursing homes, these jobs are operating @ 3 shifts. The coffee shops are busy from 6 am to 1 am and the diners are open from 5 am to 9pm

Great stream. Thanks guys. BTW, I've had covid and for me it wasn't as bad as the flu. A friend of mine with two pre existing conditions was in the hospital for 5 months and lost her voice due to a trachea. Permanent voice loss. We really miss her voice, but are so glad she's still here. 💜

We grew up in CA through many droughts. So yes we had to turn faucets off, turns off lights, dry clothes out on the line, etc. There was a time that we couldn't water our yard at all or only on certain days. Pete's 2 weeks without rain being a drought 😀😀😀.
Whenever we’d go to Chicago to visit relatives, I notice they all run the sink water 💦 tons while doing dishes, even running while cleaning off the kitchen counters. We turn it off constantly here in Vegas because we’re so dry and conservative with water. Lots of people get fake grass turf too. It never rains here. Same for California. It sucks, but so used to being super careful with water here.
My Cali cousins yell at me for leaving the water run while I brush my teeth out there, or wash the dishes….yes people, we 💓#LakeMichiganStraight #SweetHomeChicago

Nailed the bicycle shop hours gents, that is actually what I do for work and my shop is 11-7 Monday-Friday and 9-5 Saturday and Sunday! So your weekend hours were a little short, gotta be open a little later for people who prefer to ride later in the day! Otherwise that was a great pod and I hope the kiddos kick the Vid quick!

Re: water. In Oregon, we are more conscious now because of our droughts last 20 years here. But we still get a lot of rain. Alot of California's power comes from Oregons Columbia River dams. We sell the power. Because CA don't have enough to take care of their own. Power or actual water.
Cali has been in a drought for 20 years too. It's not based on a couple downpours. It's long term. They measure it daily It's all on record. Maybe you have a fan that is a meterologist that can explain things too you.
