- Tips for mounting your wall bracket to your new Samsung TV. We bought a 65" Samsung NU8000 and when we brought it home to hang on our wall we found there are NO screws in box to mount wall bracket. We called Samsung tech support who verified Samsung does not include the $2-4 screws (4) with your new TV. However they do include the (4) wall mount adapters that the screws fit into, go figure the logic!

The four Machine Screws needed are: M8-1.25 X 45 mm Pan Head Philips. Purchased mine at Home Depot

We had rf-tvmlpt03 wall mount kit for a 42" LG TV. And after opening our Samsung RU7100 4k TV got stuck with too short screws ! Fortunately I found your video just in time to get proper screws so we can enjoy our night. Thank you so much !!!!

I went on Amazon and bought a kit. (TV Stand Screws for Samsung, M8 VESA TV Mounting Screws, Extra Long with 15mm Long Spacers, M8 Washers×20, (UVSSP-B), Black by WALI)
My Samsung is the 40 inch one from Sam's Club and it takes M8 20mm 1.25 screws (check your manual)....but I needed to use a 15mm spacer due to the curvature on the back. I had to go to Home Depot and buy longer screws....had to add 15mm due to the spacer...and bought 35mm screws. Voila! I'm now admiring the hang job of my new TV! 😆
Thank you for this video and the comment section. It helped me last night when I was scouring the interwebs and I wanted to share my experience. Samsung is dirty for not including the spacers or the screws on some of these TV's!

Great video thanks! Our TV came 6pm last night, followed by someone @ 8pm to install. We opened the box to find new screws and all the hardware shops are shut!! Now I know which screws to buy from the shop tomorrow :)
Thank you so much. After long search on RUclips I found your video and easy mounted on the wall my new Samsung Q60R QLED 49 inch TV. I gone to my local DIY shop and purchased 4 X M8 45mm bolts for £5 and saved £128 to not buy Samsung No Gap mount set. I just used my mounting brackets from the old TV. Without your video I didn't know where to start and why are these plastic adapters. Well done guys. Very helpful video and Big Thank you again. 👏👏📺🛠️🔧

cheers guys, i just spent 1 hour waiting on the phone to samsumg. Didn't get through. The back of my tv and items you got are exactly the same as mine. I have never seen a wall mount like it before and didnt realise those plastic tubes would actually keep the screws in place. Inside the tubes they are smooth and not like a bolt. Your video was helpful

Imp information added - read it please. First of all, Great loving couple. And hats off for the best video.
Yes, Samsung doesn't provide wall mount M8 screws, kind of shame!
So had to visit Walmart, in TV section, got hand on "ON TV wall mount hardware kit" which has all needed screw, with all supported size - called it "hang".. just under 5 bucks and you get 69 pieces including bubble level, washers, spacers.. The best amongts all!!
2. Kind of revolutionary wall mount kit, called "Hangman no stud wall mount"... Yes Right, no studs at all ... That too from Walmart from the same TV section worth $20 or so. That is revolutionary because it the base stripe sticks with nails to the wall, you need a hammer and a Phillips screw driver. The other stripe can be screwed to the TV with M8 or whatever screws, and it supports VESA (100 to 400mm) so starting 32 inches TV upto 55" , but it doesn't stop there, there are bigger hangman no studs kits available which can hang bigger TVs too..
This product holds upto 80lbs TVs. The model number is S2040-A (For upto 55" TV). And S2060-SF (For upto 80") TVs . Questions, reply the same thread and will answer ASAP.

Thanks this really helped me put my mom's tv together no additional screws needed.
You guys saved me from screwing the screws through the screen. I racked my brain as to where the two top plastic protectors for the screws went, thought they just didn't fit and they sent the wrong bits, the instructions are not that clean. Thanks you guys you are a life saver was going to send the whole thing back. I phone the company up today they said "you will have to wait till the coronavirus issue ended then you can send it back. Now I can put it up tomorrow no worry's. Thanks again the whole family happy. Oh, bought ten screws on ebay couple of dollars arrive in a couple of days.

I suggest the Phillips Panhead 45MM. The "Adapters" are "Sleeves" to level out the mounting brackets since the Samsung TV's back slopes or pitches from the center to the top.
Once you've measured where you want your bracket to go on the back of the TV, insert the screws and screw a few threads into the TV but before you tighten it all the way, push the bracket with your thumb up to the top so that the hole where you chose to put your screw in the bracket touches the screw threads. If you don't do this the TV may not be level when you mount it to the wall mount bracket. It's a common mistake for "Do-It-Yourselfer's".

I'm cracking up watching this video. This exact same thing happened to us just last night. Bought ours and when we got home discovered that the screws from our other "universal" mount were not long enough. Home Depot had closed 30 minutes before we found this out!

It is a great TV for the price and has excellent sound quality. We did our homework in choosing our first BIG screen TV just surprised sales people and consumer sites did not mention this.

My universal mount on my wall had universal tv bolts far too short.
Watched your video and managed to buy the correct stainless steel screw bolts 5 mins before my local DIY store closed at 2000 hrs. Was watching my new TV at 2100 hrs 😎 📺
