Manny Sistrunk, Jack Pardee, Myron Potios, Mike Bass, Sonny Jurgensen, Charlie Haraway, Jerry Smith, Roy Jefferson, Jim Snowden, ......what a team. Skins for life !
Billy Kilmer, Ron McDole, Pat Fischer, Brig Owens, Larry Brown...Wow! Was Charlie Taylor, Len Hauss, Diron Talbert, Kenny Houston, Mike Bass there as well? I could go on forever reliving Redskins' past cuz there's no present.
Great intro job by son, Chris. The pride and happiness comes thru clearly and sincerely. Chris, the dad and player, is a refreshing contrast to the "look-at-me" players that today's ESPN 24/7 environment has created and exploited. HOF is well-deserved and long overdue.
If you were never lucky enough to see Chris play for the Redskins, you missed a truly thrilling thing. Chris wasn't big, and although fast not exceptionally so, but man oh man was he STRONG for his size! His upper body strength was unbelievable, and he would easily grab and twist the biggest players to the ground. I heard that the surgeons having trouble cutting into him for his appendectomy, and I believe it. Congrats to Chris, a quiet guy but a tremendous talent. Totally deserving.
I remember this guy, I knew he was good when I was a kid in the 70's watching those great NFL games of the era! I had no idea Mr. Hanbuger was a HOF player! God bless him! His son talking about him, brought tears to my eyes, I am now a 52 years old man, who's father cut out on him at age 14! So I truly admire this!
Nicky Depaola i am a friend of his daughter ang her husband. I recieved a personalized autographed photo of him from his daughter. It was a great gift and i was honored to recieve it
Those Redskin defenses in the 60s were pretty porous, but Chris Hanburger played ever game like an all-pro, with intelligence, determination, and toughness. He was a fantastic tackler when chasing down runners going outside and qbs setting up in the pocket. Class act all the way!
Nah...not true. Don't hate on my guy cuz the Hall of Fame committee can't get it right on your guy. Maybe if your guy didn't use so much nose-candy in his day, he wouldn't have had such a hard time getting in...just sayin.
Harvey martin was good player on a iconic great team hamburger was iconic great player on a good team the joke is hamburger wasn't put in HOF 30years ago
No comparison between the two. Hanburger was a class act and a standout over many years on some very mediocre teams. Martin had flashes of dominance over a few years but nothing close to the longevity and excellence of this guy. Hanburger was the real deal unlike Martin. No joke.
I love when some of these old players get their day, I never followed Chris’s career he must of been a great player.
He sure was
He was the man.
In the seventies growing up as a kid I was a hardcore Cowboys fan and I couldn't stand Chris Hamburger , because he was so damn good...

Hangman Chris Hanbuger ...Welcome to Canton.

My Favorite Redskin gets his due!!!! Finally...!!

This is a very good speech.
@BigGravyTheClown VERY proud to be a Redskins fan today...this man embodies what it means to be a man and an American!
HAIL TO THE HANGMAN!
not a redskins fan, but i have great respect for this man after that speech
Best Redskin hair in history!! Probably still good enough to start today.
great speech!
But, it took Too long to get Chris Hamburger in the H.O.F..

My husband says Hanburger was the best "shoestring tackler ever to play."
I was there, great ceremony
HTTR!!!!
North Carolina Tar Heel outside linebackers in the Pro Football Hall of Fame: Chris Hanburger and...Lawrence Taylor!
@BigGravyTheClown, I agree. I respect the hell out of this guy and Im an Eagle fan.
Fact: The players who assisted Chris Hanburger on tackles were known as Hanburger Helpers.
Can Berman get a suit that fits???
👏👌🥰
Seeing the Highlight Video, Some of those tackles would be 15 yard penalties today
It's been morphing into flag football for more offense for more ratings unfortunately
Most. Different game now. I grew up watching Hanburger play. Loved him as a kid. Respect the heck out of Hanburger even more now.
What took so long.
Why does Aikman look so pissed at him?
This guys in the HOF and Harvey Martin's not? What a joke

The Cowboys tried to trade for Hanburger every season during his career according to Gil Brandt .... I guess they didn’t think he was joke.

HM is not a HOF
Mike Lucci and Tommy Nobis deserve Hall of Fame consideration
