You are not crazy lol I also like to color realistic things in their true colors. Thank goodness there is no coloring police and we can color however we want in our books!! I would love to see your fab interior designs and color pallette choices for this book. The images in the book are very inspiring so I know you will come up with some gorgeous design ideas

I have a tendency to be a crafter/colorist etc etc who doesn’t have a lengthy attention span🤦🏼♀️🙄 Coloring has kept my interest longer than other crafts….since childhood, I’ll be 60 next month! 😂 Coloring has always been fun, relaxing, allowed me to use my creativity an “easier” way. I love the way you are thinking about this color by number thing. I have 2 or 3 in my cart on Amazon. Definitely no pink ceilings, purple bricks for me either! If it’s a fantasy picture…..more leeway is definitely allowed. But this interior design book…nope, uh uh, absolutely not happening. I have the feeling that I’m going to have lots of fun listening to and watching your videos! Terri in SC

This is why I don't do color by number. I highly dislike being told what to do, especially when I don't agree with it. This is also why color alongs or chosen color palette buddy colors. I dont want to be told what color to use and where. This is supposed to be MY world!
I completely get your point and have wondered many times the same thing...I wonder though if the covers are just showing that you can also just be creative and do your own thing/color pallet. Color by number is great because it is basically thoughtless, mindless coloring, but you can also mix things up if you just want to add a pop of your own style and there might be just a few spots you may not know what color to use so you just use what they suggest. Color by number has options and variety. It's nice for those times you want to color without much thought but if you do get an idea for a page you still have that option...and like all coloring there is no right or wrong. And the 'tips' page at the beginning sort of tell you that you don't have to follow what they suggest but to get creative on your own. I personally love color by number because when my anxiety/depression is high I can still color and just don't have to think about what to use. Hope this helps. And again I love your videos, especially the ones you insert yourself into...I'm not a fan of flip through s with music, its just not the same without the commentary so most likely won't watch those. I just don't enjoy them..it's the narration that makes the videos. I hope you get to feeling better so you can do those all the time once again. I feel your pain which is why I don't buy many Questopia books. I buy color by number so I don't have to stress out picking the colors; but I am never happy with finished pages of their books. I need you to pick colors and pass them along to people like me...lol
I mostly do cbn books and really don’t care that much about the color palette. If I did I probably wouldn’t like cbn books. I just want someone else to pick the colors for me so I can put down some color. I rarely change the colors because I’m a rule follower and figure they want it there for a reason. I haven’t started coloring in the interiors book yet but I’ve seen a lot of completed pages and really like all the different colors. If they did it realistic the whole book would be builder beige. 🤣
Isn't choosing your colors a big part of the fun? Maybe you want blue chairs, maybe the bricks were painted at some point. Maybe you don't like cherry pie and want to make it peach instead. I think that classic car interiors would be a good coloring book. Getting the color of fabric and leather would be good learning for sculpting and shading, and old cars came with interior colors besides black, grey, or tan!
I beg to differ, them choosing the colors for me doesn’t diminish like he fun I have while coloring. I think a big draw of cbn is to simply allow yourself to let go of that mindset of always picking your own colors. However their covers not matching the actual result... come on now they can do better. Their books are cheap quality but they aren’t really cheap in price.
In my experience with cbn books especially these Amazon cheapo quality books they just tend to throw colors in with little rhyme or reason just to extend the color palette. Sunlife Drawing was especially guilty of having some wack color schemes just for the sake of it. At the very least the cover should match the result that you’re actually going to get. Lazy effort or maybe a bit mindless effort on their part. Most of the time I’m not inclined to give these companies my money. I don’t own these books otherwise I’d leave a pointed review on Amazon stating the exact reasons you had.
I only have the chibi girls color questopia but I don’t care if it’s a jacked up job of colors, I def don’t appreciate it tho. I think Necee you have a great idea of using the color charts in the back. I never knew about those back charts. I love that. I was thinking about getting that interior design book but now I don’t know if it’s worth all that effort. I’m glad you say their other books are not so weird because I was thinking I’m going to stick to only buying the creative haven CBN and I really want all of Kira ShirshenevaS color by color. I just recently discovered color questopia and sunlife drawing, and Necee you would love their animals coloring book and cats coloring book. They are beautiful hand drawn illustrations. So don’t discredit them just yet,
You shouldn't do CBN mandalas another RUclipsr has noticed that in just about every CBN mandala check the top 3 colors they are always Red, Yellow, and Orange it's the most ridiculously thing she has ever come across.
