I served at US Army at 2015 and we never had M8 nor seen SFs with interface space Goggles... but instead we had original burst M4 and first training units with red dot CCOs.
In the game's lore, US supplied Mexico with military equipment during some sort of peace/ co-operation treaty, the Mex army then used that equipment in the coup against the US-Mexico treaty thing.

The game is really good! The music is also suits the game. The only problem is that you can't take cover/shoot/blind firing in multiplayer, which is unfair if you are up against a player with a C-camera gun. Another thing is the computer teammates in campaign are sometimes retarted. Most of the time, you must save them a couple of times when they get hurt. Overall, the game is very fun.

I didn't know back then, but the first time I ever played this game I was playing the 360 version. Strange thing is I remember playing the 360 version on my Xbox (original). And when I went back later on to play it, I was playing the first person version or the actual Xbox version. For the life of me I couldn't figure out what the hell was going on until I got older, and did my homework. I still can't explain how the so called 360 version worked on my old Xbox but it did. I can remember it even now. But let me tell you something, this game is not one to be fucked with. The way you play games nowadays is a frigging cakewalk compared to this. You couldn't just poke your head out and start mowing down fools, no. You had to plan your attacks as if it was an rts. GRAW before the sequel was fun as hell, had a great story, but often made you want to throw the controller because of how there were times when it seemed like you couldn't win if you didn't react fast enough. It's nothing like the sequel in terms of gameplay. GRAW 2 is simple compared to this beast. To me, GRAW 2 is more fun because it's a simple matter to blow through the game in about a day or so; but the original had a better setting, and it was challenging to the point of making you want to rage-quit. Even so, GRAW and its sequel are nearest and dearest to my heart. Next to Brute Force, KOTOR and Halo, these games were my childhood.

In 2008 there was a history Channel special about future weapons, in the next 3 years, they're supposed to start creating "plasma" weapons for soldiers to use as riot control... Also, we have riot tanks now that use infrared light a energy to cause rioters' skin to tingle and then burn until they give up and surrender... Sensing heat through buildings isn't far fetched either, we do that now.

You can shoot through walls with a .50 cal sniper. And, sure, you don't have that much mobility, and it suffers from AI problems just like most games. But you CAN destroy a tank like that, and you CAN shoot through walls.
@Lief21 We had a project to be able to do that. The Army was working on something called the land warrior project that would give you a HUD that allowed you to look around corners without exposing yourself.
These kinds of games bug me because the makers spend too much time working on the graphics rather them the way the guys move. If they are so elite they would move more like our guys do today. EX: at 1:00 this guy shooting around a corner shows his hole body, doesn't use scope or sights. They move in the middle of the street which is a big no no. my point given.
Have these games, the best possible. They're not like the silly overly hyped games that claim that they have realism or that they're good, this game is realism.
This was the first game that I REALLY concidered to be "next-gen" game back in the day and this made me want to buy Xbox360....the launch games like Kameo, PGR 3 and Perfect Dark Zero felt and looked really lame, but this....this game I'll always remember as my first Xbox 360 game =)
