At the corner of Fontenelle Blvd. and Ames Ave. there's now some kind of dollar store. Back in the early 60's that was a large & well situated AW Rootbeer stand with carhops. We'd go there for a float.
My childhood. During the 60s and early 70s I lived across the street from North High. Paxton Blvd to the south which turned into Fontenelle if you traveled west. A very different era💜
