@@RWAquariumPages Hello, thank you for your reply, it's very kind of you because not everyone answers questions. I'm going to look into getting either Bloody Mary or Fire Red. In any case, I look forward to seeing your next aquarium :D
@@RWAquariumPages I think I'll do my tub with Bloddy Mary (not so bad hahaha), but I'm hesitating with Blue Jelly. In fact, I'm going to have a crushed basalt floor, so I want to get shrimps that show up a lot, not like the chocolate ones that will blend in with the floor, if you know what I mean.
Nice video! I've set up at tank for neocaridina shrimps but made the mistake of using fluval stratum as substrate. My ph is around 6.5, kH is 0 and gH is 4. I have bloody mary shrimps in there and they are doing fine so far. Will they be okay in the long term? Any recommendations? I want to get the right conditions for them to breed and be healthy Thanks
Thx for the kind words. Honestly with healthy quality bloody mary shrimp, they'll do well in your parameters. The key is to make it stable, I have a colony in those parameters now and thriving well
@@RWAquariumPages Thanks for replying! Also wanted to ask I’ve seen some of my shrimps with white rings around their body. Is this normal? Are they about to molt or they are having molt issues? Thanks
hi there, it depends on the white ring, if it's thick one between the head and body might be white ring of death, if it's narrow ones from what i've seen it's just a lower quality of shrimp, have you notice any molting issues? or any funny deaths in your shrimp? @@DeanChan-j7w
hello I'm from Indonesia The water parameters in my bloody mary tank are: PH: 6.5 GH: 4-6 KH: 1-2 Ammonia : 0 Nitrite : 0 nitrate: below 20 ppm water temperature: 24-26 "This is almost similar to the water parameters for Caridina shrimp" but they breed like crazy 🤣
But don't put Bloody Mary and Red Cherry shrimps together. They will breed and make lower-grade shrimp variants. Bloody Mary is NOT a higher grade of Red Cherry like Sakura but actually and offshoot of the Schoko shrimp!
All my shrimp when I first got them were cheap imports . Now the line is stable and a lot better but it’s been a year of breeding them
@@forresterpaige7767 awesome work!that's so great to hear. All shrimp were imported somehow and somewhere
Bloody Mary are one of my favorite neocaridina shrimp because they also are the base for many shrimp lines for example green Jade.
Those 2 are amazing
👏 Hello from Victoria ... the tap water is really good here as well
High 5 my Victoria friend
i love victoria, i'll have to visit again one day! it's so beautiful there!
Thanks for the video. When would you say Bloody Mary shrimp reach their deepest colour ?
Thanks for the comment and support. I found if it's high quality ones, as early as when theyre babies they have solid colours alreadt
Hello, which red Neocaridina do you think are the most flamboyant, the most flachy?
I would say bloody mary or painted fire red. I'd recommend those 2 for sure. I'm going to set up another tank for bloody mary
