When Djokovic got emotional & gutted seeing him with his fam.. when Nadal broke down in tears the entire time… omg this has to be one of the biggest if not the greatest moment in tennis history.
Keep in mind Nadal had a pregnant wife who's about to give birth and he still made it just for Federer's day cos he knows it's arguably bigger

Another great moment was the 100th anniversary of the Wimbledon Centre Court a few months earlier, where John McEnroe and Sue Barker welcomed top of the winners of Wimbledon by the number of titles they got. 1st the people wh won it once, then 2 times... till 6, and then, no one with 7 (Sampras didn't come), and they said: "oh yes, we got someone with 8 titles, Rogeeeeer Federeeeeer", and he entered under the biggest mass hysteria ever, applauded by the crowd and Edberg, McEnroe, Rod Laver, Nadal, Djoko, Hingis, Hale, Kerber, Billie Jean King, Venus, Kvitova, Evert, Borg..... if u didn't watch the video, it's a MUST.

@@tberry79 your right it's better can now see proper battles with players who can do everything, not like Federer with his erratic backhand & average defence, at times he wasn't much more than a big server! Was times in slams where Novak & Nadal beat him like he was a child! Same can't be said of Federer ever beating them that way! Federer is a fraud clocked up 15 slams by 2010 vs absolute bums, Bums the likes of Rafa Novak murray beat with total ease! Then when those 3 hitt 22 he won 5 slams out of the next 44! 3 of them when Novak elbow murray hip rafa knee out injured! People call hom the Goat Omgg pleaseeeee he wasn't even the best player in his own era not even close! Courier is the perfect interviewer for this. Never shifts focus to himself when he does his interviews. You almost forgot about him, which is what happens when great interviewers do their job. And what a player he once was, Jim, king of the mountain for a short while, took tennis to a new level with his modern game. I will never forget the RG-final with Agassi, that's when my lifelong love for tennis begun. So many great champions that has come and go since then. And of course, Federer is the most elegant player ever. No one will ever play the game with such a grace as he did. Happy retirement.

That's a great call! I have always been a Roger fan but I respect all 3 of them and put all of them as the GOATs because there a lot of factors that matter in the head to head matches like the difference in their prime time, the surface and that's why I think these 3 should all be counted as the best ever because I don't see that ever happen again and we should appreciate it as well as we should be happy to watch Rafa and Novak until we can no matter who we are supporting most!

The viva la vida did it for me. I’ve been a sports fan my whole life but I remember the first time I watched a full tennis match was the 2007 Australian Open. It was Fernando Gonzalez vs Tommy Haas. Gonzalez dominated Haas thoroughly and I was thinking to myself, “this guy is something special”.
I was a professional poker player who dabbled in sports betting. I remember seeing the odds and this guy named Federer was a 6-1 favorite. I laughed and thought “well he must be pretty good but how is 6-1 possible? How is he going to beat this Gonzalez guy who just made a top 10 player look like a child?”. So I went ahead and put a little bit of money on Gonzalez. Needless to say whatever I lost that day was worth it because for the next 15 years Roger gave me so many memories. In the first couple years my scheduling flexibility allowed me to watch almost all of his matches. After that from about 2009 to 2021 I didn’t miss a single match. Not one. It didn’t matter if it was at 2 AM in Shanghai, 6 AM in Monte Carlo, 9 AM in Rome, noon at Wimbledon, 2 PM in Miami, 5 PM in Indian Wells, 8 PM at the US Open, 10 PM at the Australian Open.
I can’t tell you how many birthday parties, how many nights out, how many get togethers with friends, how many events with so many friends I’ve missed to witness Roger play it was all worth it.

I've followed RF since he was a ballboy wanting to play tennis. In my opinion, he's the GOAT of tennis 4-ever. It doesn't matter how many titles he has less than Djokovic and Nadal, he was the standard bearer of tennis. People LOVED him all over the world... I don't watch tennis anymore because he's no longer there!! Happy retirement RF....

They say its only a sport, but seeing the love & support.. you see that its more then just a sport... It's about people inspiring others due their efforts and sacrifices.
I understand... Don't feel the need to explain it... You just feel it.
Much ❤️ to my buddy & brothers involved 😘
Roger,... Thank you. I dont use words, instead , i give you a well deserved virtual hug.🫶🏼. Go enjoy! You deserved it.

Always loved Federer against Nadal, such incredible matches. To see Nadal this affected really shows you how much respect they had for each other❤.

You might say its a bit soft but Federer is a sincere tennis star. It remains special to watch his retirement in 2022.
