I followed this tutorial for a product from a German company (I live in Germany) and it worked well. A tip for others: Unfortunately we deviated from the instructions a little bit and started applying the sheet lengthwise instead of from the top because it is a long horizontal piece, so ours isn't centered properly, but it's our fault for not following directions.
Will it work on polycarbonate? I heard poly gasses off and will eventually leave bubbles in the tint. But if you took it on and off on a regular basis would I be able to use it on polycarbonate?
Thank you for your video. Is water better for static film? Cos’ following my seller’s instruction, I used soapy water on my static window film and pushed out all the bubbles and it looked ok. But to my horror the next day, lots of unsightly tiny bubbles showed up that can no longer be pushed out. So sad cos’ they look terrible.
2 years ago I installed this film on my window. I am now having trouble removing it. As the sun has burnt it onto the glass. I have tried scraping it but it leaves marks and I'm afraid of damaging the window. There is lots of advice how to install but I cant find how to remove
Hi Mavis, Thank you for reaching out. We're sorry you're having difficulty removing your window film! It is usually very easy to peel off the windows. We would recommend using warm soapy water or a window cleaning solution to try to remove the film. A scraper with a rubber end, like a squeegee may be gentler on the window. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
looks beautiful , but is this for decoration ? not for privacy , i do like amazon lifetree window film , easy installation and protect privacy ,and the key point is allowing light in !
+ErraticVideoLover 05 Thank your for your comment. This window film is 17.71 inches wide and 59 inches long. If you were going to apply it to a larger window you may have to do strips, but the process would be the same. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
+Cosmo John This window film will stay up indefinitely. It simply needs to be applied to a wet surface to cling. It is very easy to remove if you do choose to take it down and leaves no residue behind.
WallPops WallArt Can you ask your manufacturer , if it uses static electricity to work, why is the charge indefinitely on the film and cannot be grounded or lost?
The static electricity is inherent to the material that the film is made from. When it is combined with water, it will cling to the surface. It is possible that if the film becomes dirty of dusty on the side that touches the surface, it will no longer stick. Other than that, it should work indefinitely.
Hi Jennifer, If there is moisture under the film, it is possible that mold could grow, but it's not likely. If you do experience anything like this, it is very easy to peel the corner of the film up and clean underneath it. Please let us know if you have ant other questions!
I would like to apply this to my bathroom window , which opens from the bottom and tilts . So in other words , will the plastic stay clinging to the window if it's on the underside of a window at a 45 degree angle?
Hi Marty, Great question! This would stick while on an angle. However, we do not recommend applying it to the outside of the window. If it is exposed to outside conditions it will most likely not stay adhered. It sounds like the better option for your window would be to put it on the top side. Please let us know if you have an other questions!
+WallPops Sorry I didn't explain it well . It would in fact be on the inside of the window . But I was concerned about it coming detached when the window is left open in its angled position . So the inside of the window would be sort of upside down when opened fully . I tried the sticky style for the second time and still got bubbles trapped . I suspect I didn't spray it enough , but I've had it with trying to remove that glue . Would sure like a different type
Hi Jennifer, You could do it either way. We normally recommend that you leave a little extra and cut the film to size once it is on the window. This will ensure a perfect fit. However, you could certainly measure your window first and do it that way.
Him: Carefully measures his window. Also Him: Carefully measures the back of the decal and proceeds to mark it *nowhere near* where the millimetre mark is on the ruler.

Helpful and well put together. Thanks
What is the name of the film in the video and is it available for sale?
Shit that music is funky as hell. Just ended up dancing unfortunately.
Nice product but can't quite understand why they would only use it in the middle of the window
Alien Xeliose Seems he favoured a feature over privacy. It would also been nice to show the reversible way: taking it off the glass.
+Fernando AROSTEGUI NOVALES It just peels off as there is no adhesive involved.
What’s with the half window job?
Can we stick this film outside of window?

I recently put one on my french door and it was on the floor the next day! What did i do wrong?
Can sunlight interact with the water particles sandwiched between the film and glass? Is there a chance mold could grow?

WallPops I thought that the window had to be moist for it to stick?!
Mold can’t grow in sunlight exposure at that intensity
I am battling to put mine up. Followed your video. I am in south africa and that window gets full hot sun. Will this be the cause?
Will this flim will affect the intensity of sunlight
Yes, usually there will be UV lever written somewhere on the etiquette

+MartyBlue78 I see there cutting to exact size . Can you not oversize it little and cut the excess off after it's applied?
You can definitely cut the excess afterward using a craft knife or scissors!
+WallPops
Thanks . Geez , these are the quickest replies I've ever seen lol
When cutting to size should it be same size as window or leave a small 5mm gap around perimeter? Thanks :)
Hi Jennifer,

Is there a chance the window bead seal could be damaged by a knife cutting the film so close?
Hi Jennifer,
It is possible that you could cut or scratch the window when cutting the film.
Wish my window was a smaller . It's 40"/18" , 1/4" to tall for the smaller rolls :(
You can always use more than one strip to cover your window!
That 1/4" means you can install the single roll....and leave just a small 1/8" at the very top and bottom. NOBODY is going to even notice that.

What is the music?
Hi Rob! Unfortunately this was provided to us by the manufacturer, so we're not sure where they got the audio from.
Hi, can you ask the manufacturer as this music is as funky as hell
Does this keep your house more insulated? I feel like it does, but it might be a placebo

as long as you look cool doing it no one will know lol
I wasted more money on this product.I tried with water...then with soapy water. The top kept rolling right down.
Squeegy the water out better. Push harder and make sure you don't get bubble pockets. Gotta be dry under there to stick
or.... make dure there isn't a protective film in your static film preventing it from adhering....
