thanks for this demo! what a great build by great people! so much good ideas, like the level on the side that you forgot to mention. The time and place you chose to make this video. wind and high grass, unlevel terrain, all in fluo vests. I almost died when the little dog came from under the Jeep! Trailer covert in mud like it should. The running around with the camera to keep up! I saw myself giving an explanation when watching you. To much cool stuff to show, to little time! you can see the long nights thinking about solving problems en working out good ideas in the end result! After looking at a lot of other trailer reviews, this one put a smile on my face... Hope you and your family are still enjoying this trailer and each other! Greatings from Belgium.
I like the fact that you can raise the tent once you get to where you want it to be. And with the tent lowered, to don't get the wind drag. Like I had with my tent on top of the jeep.
Great build! Thanks for sharing. The tent and awning lift addresses the the problem of wanting a low center of gravity while traveling but needing a walk-under height at camp. That’s something I have been thinking about.
Very nice design, I would just add drawer stays and relocate water and solar input, now they are on a messy side of the trailer. Great idea with the tent lift.
Nice build... I had to unload everything from my trailer to set up camp too and it was a pain.. I like your build.. If I were you I’d add magnets to the slider drawers to keep them in place and not slide out when you’re uneven..
We started our build and then saw this video and it inspired us to change our direction! super excited to try out this concept with the lift! Hopefully we can pull it off too 😄
that's good, it took me a bit to come up with that ideal but it works really well, the only thing i would change if doing it again would be to make the supports flip down when the tent lifts rather then putting in the turn buckle supports, good luck.
Nice looking trailer, but need more work on drawers, that cooking area is way to high almost at your face if you level the trailer, and bed seems unstable whit that lifting system. Shower, fridge, bbq, gas tanks, tables are great. Perfect size trailer for a jeep. Enjoy.
the drawers are fine when the trailer is leveled, the stove top is a bit high when cooking and the tent is very stable when the ladder is down and the three supports i mentioned in the video are installed.
You perhaps used the wrong drawer slides. Locking drawer slides, while a bit pricier are FAR better for a trailer. Other than that, this looks to be an amazing trailer set up... I was hoping to build a trailer in the next year or two (I still have a lot of mods I need to do for my Tacoma first) I may have to steel that scissor lift idea from you. The best design I had come up with so far used linear actuators and was a bit of a pain or making something like the old popup camper's lift arms. I would love to hear some follow up on how the lift system is working for you after a year of use.
I toyed with the linear actuator idea but very expensive for the weight and stroke length i wanted. we have used this several times now and towed it many miles over rough trails and so far its holding together great,
i think its a great idea, please let me know if i can help with any recommendations, i'm starting to build a smaller trailer for the quad so sharing of ideas would be great.
Your other one was cool. But you took this to a whole other level. Well done! 🤠👍 You should share this on a bunch of Facebook groups. Will you do a video on your jeep? Kinda looks like a defender 🤔
I did do a video of the jeep but we were camping and I was half drunk so it never turned out well, maybe I'll try again . maybe because I would love to own a defender I have been trying to turn it into one without realizing it.
Did not see a weight mentioned. What are the loaded and dry weight(kilos are fine I can do the conversion thanks to Google)😁? Amazing forethought and ingenuity!
not 100% sure on the actually weight because i've never had it on the scale but from what i figured out with the steel , plywood and the rest i figure around 1100 lbs with a full water tank and loaded .
I made the drawers out of plywood with drawer slides from princes auto, the sink is just a amazon collapsible sink, used a table saw to dado the drawer box so the bottom would be good and sold then wood glue and brad nails to hold it together.
I custom made them out of 1/2 '' plywood and 1/4'' on the bottom, i used the table saw to "dado" grove the sides so the bottom would slide in and then wood glue and braid nails.
the most expensive stuff is the fridge , stove and the tent, the trailer build itself was not overly expensive, just about everything but the steel was bought on sale at princess auto.
Ive watched a lot of videos on DIY overland trailer builds and this is one of the best. kuddos
thanks
Would be nice to see more videos of you set up and camping in different uses - you concept is great just need more show time

One of the best custom built trailers I have seen, great work guys. Alot of great ideas. 👍
Got a lot of inspiration for my current build. Thanks

Would love to see the Jeep set up aswell. As for the trailer well done. Alot of thought had gone into this. Nice job.
Wow! Great set up! A lot of carefully thought out bonus features! The table alone seems like a one of a kind!
Nice pic of Five Islands. I get to see this every day. My hometown. Great video. I enjoyed it.

omfg!!! jaw dropping at all the extra's. awesome build. thank you for blowing my mind!!!
You have a lot of unique ideas. Looks really good!
Probably the coolest rig yet .
That's an amazing setup, I'm doing a build internally next few months and I will be using alot of your ideas, great video 🏴🇬🇧😉
Very nice design, I would just add drawer stays and relocate water and solar input, now they are on a messy side of the trailer. Great idea with the tent lift.
Dang, looks like you got it all covered. Great build.
Im waiting for a water slide to pop out somewhere
This is well thought out and executed. Great build!!!
Brilliant trailer 👍👍
I love it. What an amazing rig you've built. You really thought it through. Every detail is awesome. We'll done!
thank you, I'm building one now smaller for an atv with atv tires and independent suspension, I'll make a video when done.
Nice build... I had to unload everything from my trailer to set up camp too and it was a pain.. I like your build.. If I were you I’d add magnets to the slider drawers to keep them in place and not slide out when you’re uneven..
Thanks, thats a good idea, i was thinking a latch of some sort but magnets would work good as we;;.

@@dcadventures2704 oh okay, thanks for the heads up! We'll try that out!
Very inspiring. Ingenuity is alive and well.
Well done.
thank you ,
Love it. What a great scissor lift idea.
Wow that’s Badass. Great setup
Nice work. Keep up the builds you have an awesome thing going.
This is epic! Really good ideas thank you for sharing!
I really like your trailer set up. Nice work. I am starting my trailer build soon. I ordered a 5x8 aluminum and smitty built tent.
thanks and good luck with your build.
Very impressive. Well done.
Genius setup! Love It.
Wow, nicely, nicely done! I built a small camp trailer also. Great ideas!
thanks

2:17 This statement assured me this video was worth watching! 👍🙃
idk if i would have put all the plugs and switches right where you are flinging all the mud on to lol but besides that this thing is pretty sweet
Damn transformer! Great build
Very well thought out build
Thank you for saying so, after using this one for the summer camping trips I think I have some good ideas for the next build.
very nicely done! I like it
Nice work no doubt. Thanks for giving me what I should not do in my build. Unless if you camp at one spot, it is far too complicated for boondocking.
Beautiful
Very nice!!

Can you show more of how you did the jack for the tent platform?
watch the previous video and you can see it better
Nothing fancy !
Love it guys nice job.
Im thinking in building a litle slinding kitchen on the 4x4 with a smaller trailer !
What do you think of that
i think its a great idea, please let me know if i can help with any recommendations, i'm starting to build a smaller trailer for the quad so sharing of ideas would be great.

Big fan of the drawers and sink configuration. Care to share what you used?
I made the drawers out of plywood with drawer slides from princes auto, the sink is just a amazon collapsible sink, used a table saw to dado the drawer box so the bottom would be good and sold then wood glue and brad nails to hold it together.
Love it
Did you custom build the drawers on the side or are they a kit. I love the setup and would like to do something similar on my trailer side.
I custom made them out of 1/2 '' plywood and 1/4'' on the bottom, i used the table saw to "dado" grove the sides so the bottom would slide in and then wood glue and braid nails.
Nice set up ..where are you on trailer weight?
with tent i would say around 700 lbs
Love the build and ingenuity. Pardon my ignorance, but what's with the orange vests? Hunting season?
yes ,hunting birds on back roads
Great job. Do you plans drawn out.
no i did not, i was just cutting as welding as i went.
Fantastic build. Congratulations. How many amps is your battery?
thanks. its 130 amp hour
Did you custom build the scissor lift or modify one you purchased? If purchased where?
it was a lift cart from canadian tire, if you watch the previous video to this one i show it as i'm building it'
Nice build but just a heads up that it’s a 5 gallon propane. Not 5lb.
NO, it's a 5lbs propane tank, not 5 gallon.
Could you let us know what the original trailer was? Maybe post a pic? Thanks.
theres another video on this channel of my first trailer and also a vid of building this one
Thanks 🤩
is the hydrolic lift a repurposed harborfreight motorcycle lift?
Awesome
Nice build but you probably have a lot of money into it. Have you added up your costs for everything??
the most expensive stuff is the fridge , stove and the tent, the trailer build itself was not overly expensive, just about everything but the steel was bought on sale at princess auto.
I really like your table mod! What brand is it? Dims?
I made the table, i used the legs off of a folding plastic table and put it on the top i made for the side of the trailer
What type jack/stand did you use? Looks like an atv/motorcycle jackstand?

Awesome trailer, how much?
how much to build it you mean or how much if I sold it?
@@dcadventures2704 both I guess, I'm military and deployed alot, don't know if I'd ever have the time to actually build it...
@@patrickrourke3836 without the tent and awning ,stove and bbq it was around $2000 to build, tires, axles, steel , lift, .
@@dcadventures2704 that's awesome, well done!
How did you go abouts attaching the tent to the cart? I'm in the process of doing something very similar actually
i made a square frame around the cart deck with 1''x1'' square tubing and then used the existing holes in the tent floor and bolted it to the frame.
Awesome thank you!

What solar panels are those ? thanks
Great job but looks Hectic
You saved toms of $$$$
What did it cost to build this complete unit
probably around $2000 canadian for the trailer without the fridge, stove ,tent and extras
what brand of solar panel is that? Link?
