That’s what I keep preaching to these young folks or these Bron fans. His level of respect/commitment for the fundamentals and details of the game is incomparable to what the stars of today do. They look at the fancy stuff but the little things are what separate him. He fully respected everything he’s learned about the game from his beginnings.

Jordan also had a stretch when he played point guard and he averaged a triple double for 10 games in 1988-89. He switched between the two and one that season but still averaged 32, 8 and 8. If he had played PG the whole season he would have had Lebron like numbers.

    MJ vs LeBron
This is a silly debate. Clearly Michael is better. It's not even a close one. But let's go to the facts. Updated after Lebrons 14th season. Michael Jordan has
    •3 more rings
    •3 more final mvps
    •1 more DPOY
    •1 more season MVP
    •9 more scoring titles
    •3 more steals leader
•3 more all defensive team selections
•4000 more points / bron moved past him in playoff points, but it took him longer lol.
    •800 more steals
•Beat 20 50+ win teams in the playoffs (Lebron only defeated 10)
•Jordan never averaged less than 40% Field Goal in the finals
    Lebron did it twice
    •6/6 (never allowed a game 7)
    •Lebron had much more help
•Jordan never had a teammate averaged more than 22 points in the finals..
Kyrie averaged over 28 and DWade averaged more than 26
•MJ never ever had a finals meltdown like Lebron in 2011 against the Mavs
•MJ had more points in the playoffs in less games..
All of this accomplished in 13 seasons
Lebron is in his 14th season still chasing the "ghost that played in Chicago"
•Michael Jordan in the playoffs has put up atleast 40ppg, 5rpg, 5apg in 6 different playoff series. Along with an average of about 55% shooting, 3spg and 2bpg.
(86 vs bos, 89 vs cavs, 90 vs philly, 92 vs Miami, 93 vs Phoenix, 88 vs cavs) Jordan won every one of those matchups except for the 1986 matchup vs the celtics.
•Jordan in 88-89 averaged 32ppg, 8apg, 8rpg, 3spg off 54% shooting. LeBron has never even came close to this stat line.
•in 87 thru 92, MJ averaged 5 straight seasons of atleast 51% FG shooting. LeBron has never done this.
•the lowest FT% MJ ever shot in a season was 78%. Lebrons highest in a season ever is 78%.
    •MJ has a higher playoff FG% of 48.7% to Lebrons 48.3%
•MJ has a higher playoff player efficiency rating of 28.6 to Lebrons 27.3.
•MJ shoots a higher playoff 3 point percentage of 33.2% to Lebrons 32.9%
•MJ also shocked the league by being the first (and only) player to have 100 blocks and 200 steals in the same season, then turned around and did it again the next year..
Seriously this list can keep going. This isn't even a debate. Mj is the GOAT.
Michael in only ELEVEN complete seasons with the Bulls:
    -10 STRAIGHT scoring titles,
-Won Defensive Player of the Year,
    -9 times all defensive team,
    -9time All NBA,
    -5 league MVPs
    -6 finals MVPs
LBJ missed the playoffs completely in his first 2 years. Jordan didnt with scrubs on his squad. Jordan played 82 games 9 times in his career once at 40. LBJ only played 82 games once. In 89 Jordan won the scoring title all star MVP slam dunk title regular season MVP and Defensive Player of The year something LBJ has never done. Jordan also averaged 41 pts a game for an entire Finals shootimg 50% and won. Something else LBJ never did.
All 11 seasons. Mj has done in 11 seasons things Lebron hasn’t done and won’t do in his whole career...
And before you criticize me for copy and pasting just know that it doesn’t matter if it’s copied or not, truth is truth.
    Check Mate.

Dwight Caliao dude I have no idea how some people compare. Every era will have a great player that stands out from rest. That doesn't mean that player is as good as MJ. Over the years, we've gone from Drexler to Grant Hill to Penny to Vince Carter to Kobe to Wade back to Kobe to LBJ to Steph Curry back to LBJ. It'll never end. But I don't mind cause the one constant in these comparisons will always be MJ. We're seeing that right now as Kobe now gets overlooked in favor of LBJ being compared to MJ. In a few years it'll be LBJ getting overlooked as the next NBA hot commodity gets compared to MJ.

    1. When three point shoots were a resource and not a way to just to score points.

if you actually watch today's games you will see effort on defense. Just because we see more high scoring games doesn't mean players are not playing defense. The rules have changed to allow for more freedom and creativity on offense which makes it tougher to defend today. The pace of the game is much faster now, way more possessions per game, more shot attempts, more 3pt shot attempts which equals way higher point totals. Lastly, today's players are highly skilled and more athletic than ever which also makes it tough to defend. There is definitely a larger pool of talent today. Don't get me wrong I love the 90s I grew up watching these guys. But its not fair to say that no one plays defense today

    • @HadeyanUtkan
      @HadeyanUtkan 2 года назад

@SHANESE Dude team defenses and defense sets that put by Defensive Coaches of the team are more versatile and crafty Today's Basketball that's ok.
But frustrating side of the defense, defensive specialists, physical contact and trash talk (which is mental warfare part of the defense) was tougher back then.
That's why compare to back then we have less offensive superstars that can play defense as well.
Curry, Harden, Jokic, Doncic, Booker, Morant, LeBron (currently ), Trae Young, Westbrook, are all bad defenders.
Durant, Embid, Irving and some others questionable defenders.
Chris Paul, Siakam, Adebayo, Paul George, A.Davis, Tatum ok-ish defenders (their current versions).
Butler, Giannis, Kawhi are the only elite superstar defenders .
For back then Superstars had more load on defense. I mean imagine players like Barkley, Shaq as "bad" defenders in their primes ...
Compare to Harden, current LBJ, Trae Young, Curry, Doncic :D :D They're amazing defenders.
So yes now defense is more theoratical but back then "defense" and "physicality" was in the culture of basketball.
Now, shooting trees and avoiding contacts, flopping, traveling and scoring more points are.

If LBJ makes the pass at 1:53, LeBronites start talking nonsense about how he's a better passer than MJ. 1:53 clearly shows MJ makes those passes and then some, as MJ's here is even a no-look... and it's vs. a great defensive team too, not the young and inexperienced Celtic team LeTravel's Cavs are beating up on.

meg Jordan's pass game was surreal. The only problem is most of the time he didn't have teammates competent enough to capitalize on those sick dimes he was dropping.

Wont you motherfuckers just watch & enjoy an MJ-highlight vid without always bringing LeBron's name up in the comments. if LeBron will never ever ever ever ever be even close to MJ, Why tf yall keep givin' all this energy & emotion to the attention that you pay to him? Like, cmon...Ok, MJ was MJ. We know this. Enjoy HIS highlights (because its HIM that we're watching, Lebron nowhere in the vid) & move tf on.

Man Baker played great that first season in Seattle I know people missed Kemp but Seattle got a good deal in that trade and Vin and Shawn's carrier had a similar path as both failed to maintain after the lockout

    • @royceg3375
      @royceg3375 3 года назад

Vin's first year was good I'll give you that, but after that first season he really started declining fast, baker went into all types of addictions and was a non factor. He got overpaid by Seattle.. and it was a huge mistake to let Kemp go, Seattle wasn't willing to pay him and that's messed up.

@@royceg3375 Kemp was going to get paid, he was mad Mcillvane got such a huge contract and demanded a trade before Seattle could restructure, Kemp was only good in Cleveland for one season just like Baker, Baker should have never got the extension when he did, but the actual trade was as good as a team can get after a star like Kemp publicly demanded the trade

So... Basically Glove could stop Mike by preventing him the ball... But once he got the ball, there was nothing he could do to slow him down... Post game and drive and fadeaway all were hitting big time. MJs game had so many layers. The only way to slow him down is to deny him the ball and try to delay the entry pass by pressing and forcing him to get the ball late in the shot clock and then trap him
