Recently purchased the Sony WF-1000xm3 true wireless buds and can't even use them, without a seperate dongle that i had to buy extra, but because the earbuds are a "Sony Product" it wont use any of the low-latency codecs the BT dongle uses for gaming due to Sony using proprietary codecs and "competition." Yet, the Sony product im trying to use them (PS4 Pro) with won't even work with them, AT ALL.. and due to Sony's proprietary bs the dongle causes insane audio latency due to using the baseline generic codec.. instead of Apt-X LL (or any apt-x for that matter) Inherently making Sony's own product useless to use with a Sony system.
I have those same headphones and didn’t know you could plug them into the controller so this video actually helped. Don’t need them to be wireless 🤷🏼♂️
The USB wireless adapter shown comes with the headphones they're designed to work with. You'll want to look for wireless headphones designed for the PS4, such as those at bby.me/jru6k.

Just return the headphones with the bluetooth adapter to gamestop's if that is where u bought it from and just say the bluetooth doesn't work right and get a new one for 10 dollars. This is what I do every year. Also only works if you got the 1 year insurance. You need everything but the dongle to return it they don't care about it. Hope's this helps.

My wh-1000xm4 headphones have started suffering sound drop out when connected via 3.5mm but only if the headphones are on. If off the sound comes through without problems. However this means I cant benefit from functions like noise cancelling.

Best Buy don’t know what they are talking about. All of PlayStation portable and home consoles date back from the PlayStation 3 and PSP Go has the Bluetooth technology. They are the same people who told me it’s not possible to upgrade the hard drive in the PlayStation 3. That was in 2010, 4 years after the PlayStation 3 came out. Don’t get me started on the HDMI cables. If you bought a HDMI cable when they 1st came out (around 2004 or 2005), it should still work with all of today’s technology that uses HDMI cables. If HDMI is still standard 50 years from now, then the same 65 year old cable should still work with all of the Future technology that uses HDMI cables. That is assuming that HDMI cable is in perfect working order.
