    Hey Gabriel, do you still play these patterns with the bass note if you being accompanied by a bass player?

    • @GabrielSantiago
      @GabrielSantiago  Год назад +4

      Hi Tal, when you introduce a bass player to the mix the approach should change a bit. I would
      Definitely be more careful about playing all the bass notes and putting too much weigh on the bass. I usually kinda sit and see how the bass player plays - if he’s busy, I’ll lay low on the bass, even to the point of not playing the bass at all - sort of doing a “hybrid” version of the grooves. If the bassist leaves some space I would still be very cautious and adjust my bass notes volume to be quieter than the chord. Don’t forget the bass notes on the nylon guitar kinda “fight” for the same frequency space than some of the electric bass notes in the stereo spectrum. So just watch out and adjust your playing a bit to not clash with the bass.
      Hope it helps!
      Best
      GS

      @@GabrielSantiago Yes, I was thinking a hybrid of this would be good to avoid the clashing. Thanks Gabriel!
