Very nice explanation! I like where at 4:31 ,and after, it shows the chord changes clearly in relation to the Partido. This is so important also because melodies in many or most? Brazilian tunes really follows this authentic way of playing the rhythm with the beginning of the 2 bar phrase being more syncopated (avoiding beat "1" and anchoring on the next bar downbeat - or in 4/4 avoiding the 1 and anchoring on the 3, or the middle of the clave).

About 10 years ago I heard it said that around 30 years ago Partido alto infected Samba so it's been about 40 years now?
