If you are using a cabochon it might work best if you wrap the cabochon in the standard wire frame cabochon wrap and then make the lotus separately and attach it.

I wish you would say that you are using a bead with a hole in it at the beginning. :-( I got to that part of the video and then I have a coin bead without a hole drilled into it. Or write that you are using a drilled bead in the description. :-( Thanks anyway.
