Was thinking about buying the Cameo 5 but my 3 & 4 are still working so looks like a Curio 2 will find a new home in my craft room. Never knew the purpose of a Caurio until I saw this video so thank you, CrystalAnn!

Very detailed info, much needed and appreciated Crystal. Need ALL the in’s and out’s for setting up and using the software. The settings for different materials would be very helpful as to where to start with test guts. Thanks for your time and effort.

I've had my Curio 2 for 9 days, but I've been afraid to open it up. No more! I'm ready to get to work. Can't wait to emboss and foil everything that isn't nailed down in my craft room.

That thing is huge! It seems like a cool machine, but a little more complicated than the Cricut machines. I'm sure that's probably just until you get used to it like anything else. I love those stickers that you made! They're really cute! I also love that mummy! That would be great as a window cling!

This is so fascinating! I was intrigued by the electrostatic mat, great video. Silhouette software is so good. If people want to still use their Cricut but are fed up with Design Space they can use Silhouette business edition and export svg to cut in Cricut software.
I’ve done that for years. I started out using silhouette machines and software, then purchased cricket for ease of cutting. Lol

Got my Curio 2 last week love it but having issues with the blade not cutting towards the top of the ES bed but it will cut fine when I shift my image down towards the middle of the ES mat. 😢

Hi CrystalAnn! Would appreciate any informative/how to videos about using the software, I have the business edition just because you can do more with it; that is if you know the best steps to use. How would we print from a software such as affinity or adobe for print n cut projects in order to achieve the best color print outs to cut out stickers etc? Hi I’m in the U.K. so May take a while to arrive here but it looks like a great machine. Can you tell me the thickest material this can cut please? For example could it cut 1mm or 3mm felt or foam? Thanks, great video.
I have the Cameo 1 and 4 Pro, so don't need another machine for cutting vinyl, stickers etc. But will be interested to see the other tools in use when they become available before I make my decision on whether or not to purchase

I’ve been slowly and I mean snail crawling to adjust to my cameo 4 pro just because I was so used to my cricut explore air 2.
So I keep my cricut on standby but I think I’m ready to box it up and replace where it sits in my craft room for this baby. I’m gonna wait till I can find it and all the damn power tools in stock.

Hi, I'm planning to buy this. Can this cut leather? Will it damage the Matt?
Am wondering how this will cut fabric and felt with the rotary blade.. it would be really nice not to have to stick it down to a mat.... though the rotary blade isn't specifcially mentioned, I did see somewhere where the Curio 2 will fit the blades that the Cameo 4 and 5 use...so am assuming that means the rotary blade...

Does the curio 2 cut through 3mm thickness Perspex? I want to be able to cut out name shapes etc from persex
What is the max card stock weight that can be used on the Curio 2? Would you demonstrate cutting intricate designs on card stock? I am interesting in creating shadow boxs. Also, what are the overall dimensions of this machine including height.

Second time I’m watching this video CrystalAnn. I’m hoping they come out with an actual wood burning tool for this machine, true unlimited fun possibilities right?.I’m on a MacBook Air m1 need my software to run smooth all around . I’m experiencing trouble with pretty much everything to do with printing within the business edition of the software. Mine does not look the same as the screen of other influencers either. My prints are fabulous within everything else I print on my os Sonoma system. I need to learn all of the tips n tricks within the silhouette business software, how to use the cameo5 and curio2. We Really need a very simple way to achieve a clean trace even on detailed designs within the software. I’ve wanted to achieve perfect print n cut designs for years it is one of my favorite crafting adventures. I hope you are feeling much better.
I know there is an issue with the upgrade of our Mac I hope they have it resolved soon

I have the old Curio, and it works really well, but this looks cool. And, I love the idea of not having to adjust the platforms for each material.
I see people trying to use a regular cutting mat on it, but it looks like in your video, you don’t need it. Do you know why people are trying to use cutting mats? Are there certain materials that still require it?
Frankly, if the electrostatic (ES) mat can do it all, I wouldn’t even bother with the cutting mat, so maybe it’s just people aren’t comfortable with the ES mat yet?
The cutting mat will have with thicker heavy materials the ES mat is designed for light weight paper, card stock, vinyl HTV
What is the foot print of the Curio 2 please?
As many others I'm wondering if the ES mat works with fabric and heat'n'bond prepared fabric(?) 🤷♀ Would love your response!

This is looking very good; I assume you can only cut to the 12x12 size, right, there is no larger surface mat or the ability to cut of the roll for vinyl I assume?
I'm very curious about cutting thicker materials (up to 3 mm, can that be cardboard, or is it just softer things like foam) and fabric as well. Not sure how they would fare with the ES holding things in place... Colour me intrigued 🤔

Looking for options different from the Cricut. I have a Maker, but I have been (as many others are stating on different Groups on facebook) having difficulty with their design space. I’m on spring break, wanted to use my Maker, but you can’t even create things with the issues happening to Design Space. Ugh.
