- FltPlan Go is my favorite pilot app! It offers all pilots real time flight tracking as well as many extra tools. It is absolutely free and 100% worth downloading.
I have been given express permission from the FltPlan Team to feature their App in this video. I do not work for them but I am merely showing their high quality application.
The intro sound was downloaded from the selection of free RUclips sounds. "Prop Plane Start" 8 seconds long.
I own the rights to this video.
Great video! For weather forecasts, I prefer using Aeroweather. I've also heard that some people use custom weather apps using API keys from Weather Underground or Weather by Tomorrow, which are a tad better.
Funny I just came across this and I have kept my plane at Ryan field since 74 and still am flying my little cessna 150. I just wish I could find a free app that would display traffic with a store bought ADSB receiver. I spend so much money yearly on the little plane and only fly around Tucson area out of airspace where ADSB out is required. I see this was done 7 years ago I hope that you are still flying.
I am not a pilot but i do use MSFS2020, will this app provide ILS approach frequency for a given runway and does it have other countries
Thanks - I downloaded it while watching your video.
Well done review,Thank you,I installed it based on your recommendation.
Well presented and persuasive. I'll certainly check it out.
Thanks. Nice quick overview. Good summary
Why is it not in my appstore?
thanks, very nice presentation
FltPlan Go is working only for North & South America. :(
i have been using this app for a long time.
Does FltPlan Go display VFR Navigation Charts (VNC)?
Can it be used in South America? Or only available for North America?
Great vid! Seems like a great app
Great Vid! Can't wait to see more!!!
what is the best device to use? apple Ipad pro 10-11-or 12", then buy the app, or Garmin aera796. great video. thanks
Hey Doug. I personally use an iPad mini small form factor with the same features, the size doesn't matter and is all based off preference. If you were to purchase the Area 796 I would look into this article, www.aopa.org/news-and-media/all-news/2018/march/06/garmin-avionics-connect-with-fltplan-com . You can link up the garmin and the app easily. Did this help?
@@bankingwestaviation8984 First thanks for the response. I was under the understanding that Garmin is now partnered with FltPlan.com? And was watching on youtube that if you don't use the Garmin device the information doesn't update fast enough?
plz give the app link in description..plz
Can it display traffic and weather on the moving map with a wifi connection to an ADS-B in device?
I am an RV'er that is looking for an APP that can take data from A Stratux dual channel receiver and show we the latest NEXRAD WEATHER, will this work on a tablet?
wow i just uploaded the app. Thanks for the info!
hannah huff “downloaded” :)

Thank yo for your video. I have this app in my ipad with xplane 10 and yesterday I was trying to connect with repar3d but no success, the problem that I have is no connection anymore with xplane10 and I tried the normal connection with this software and look like i lost it, any ideas. Thank you
Thank very much man you have help a lot
App not available in UK. Why???
Foreflight moving to Android as main platform soon. Pretty cool imho.
From the Foreflight website FAQ: "ForeFlight is only available on iOS devices such as the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. We have no plans for an Android version of ForeFlight Mobile at this time."
How or can you display AHRS using stratux on fltplan go?
cant search it
Good to know I don't have to get into Apple's trap
Question. Have you tried connecting to external devices; Android, Tablet PC, Win 10. I can get to work on my FSX PC, with FltPlan, but not to external devices. Any tips? Thank you.
I have never experimented with this feature but I would suggest checking the FltPlan Go website.
Is there any way to make a flight plan in the app that produces a nav log?
+Michael Trovato Yes there is! I believe after you create a flight plan and enter in all the specifics you can click "Press here for Navlog" into the "Route selection box" this should create a Navlog. If this didn't help you out go to the creating a flight plan section of this link: www.fltplan.com/tutorial.htm .
thanks
are the vfr charts legal certified as replacement for paper ones?
Similar to Foreflight they are regularly updated to be used as replacements but it is always good pilotage to have the good ole chart and kneeboard
thanks
that did not answer the question thou lol
i think in Canada only FF is legal to use as vfr charts
Name of the first app
Hej it is en really nice App but is it working in Europe ( sweden )
hi, How can I create a new layer with CAP grid on the map?
+Jean Luc Le Gall Hi Jean I have never experimented with that but I would recommend clicking this link where they have all the tutorials listed. www.fltplan.com/tutorial.htm good luck and happy flying!
Can anyone point me to a basic tutorial on this? Like how to download maps, airports, etc., and how to create a basic flight plan? This video did not make this clear. Need to start at the beginning.
+Larry Fl I apologize for not making it clear in the video that I was mainly reviewing the app. To download Maps, Airports, and other things you will need to open the app, go to the downloads tab at the very bottom near settings, click on that and then a column will appear. Everything you would want such as "Maps, Procedures, Documents, A/FD, and Misc" will appear. Click on those and you can individually download the things you want. Hope this helps. Also I suggest visiting the website because this give you more details on everything with the app.
FltPlan go
Does fltplan go work on the IPAD mini, and how many GBs should the mini be.
I use an iPad mini with 4g and it only has 16gb of storage. Depending on how many charts, procedures, etc. you want to download the app can take upwards of 5 gb, but you only need about 1-2 if you aren't going crazy with the charts. Hope this helped!
Hey how das it look
Thanks ily
Does it work on the air
Yes, make sure you have the map downloaded to your device before flight!
Hi Hunter. Is this app available for Android? It doesn't appear on my App store. Maybe only supported on some versions of android?
It should be available as long as your phone is updated to the current version of Android.
Are you a pilot?
If you are a pilot and can’t afford several hundred dollars a year for Foreflight or Garmin you got the wrong hobby.
Thank yo for your video. I have this app in my ipad with xplane 10 and yesterday I was trying to connect with repar3d but no success, the problem that I have is no connection anymore with xplane10 and I tried the normal connection with this software and look like i lost it, any ideas. Thank you
