If I close my eyes I am immediately a ten year old kid again in elementary school as soon as the intro plays. holy moly. I am transported back to my parents house in the mid 80's. I am almost 50 years old now. we had it so good back then and did not even realize it or appreciate it.
Yeah remember when they would show cartoon's till noon and then it was an OG Read more special on ABC and then it was adult tv like football or something around 1pm. I still remember all the G.I. Joe commercials and then the McDonalds commercials with the Fry Guy's and the little rubber martian toys they would give in the Happy Meals!!! Toy's R Us commercials etc. Now they show cartoons on saturday till like 7am or something stupid like that, my wife and I are 40 & 39yrs old with a 14,17,and 22 yr old and we still watch cartoons .

Yeah i know what you mean, it was awesome the other night because my son found the old school Strawberry Shortcake movies on HULU and it was cool to see my wife looking at them like a little girl, I could see in her eye's that she felt like a kid again! Watched the show and read the comics. It was awesome time to be a kid back in the 80s. I had the Soundwave transformer clipped to my belt. I had the Snake-Eyes action figure in my shirt pocket. I had the He-Man slime tower. Oh man, life was good!

It happened to me once that dog looked friendly and when i wanted to pet him he tried to bite me but i somehow got bruise on my stomach. Could've been worse but i had some luck. With none or minimal cgi. I prefer real cars and real stunts. Or if cgi must be used, that its used to make believable stunts.. not over the top nonsense.
I loved this show. Had almost every car made including Boulder Hill. I had to leave my entire collection behind when I moved. One day I may just have to rebuild my entire collection. They even made a GIJOE figure of Matt Tracker in his Thunderhawk outfit.

Thanks for posting. Used to watch this as a kid, had nearly all the toys too which I loved to play with. I might have to scour eBay to get some of them as they were made to function just like they did in the cartoon.
Visionaries, Sky Commanders, Tigersharks, Silverhawks, Centurions, Turbo Teen, Thundercats. The 80's were the age of great cartoons. Everything was fresh and new. Wonderful ideas for heroes and villians, unique and intriguing. Now all cartoons are ridiculous. They make no sense characters are rude or just plain stupid. The ideas seem like something out of an acid trip. And those are ones that stick around. Anything good or half decent that resembles th3 good olé days gets canceled after one season.
I know how ya feel they don't show cartoons on Saturday anymore. What is the world coming to? Some things should be sacred, like jazz on the radio Sunday afternoon, but they took it off for the money!
Oh, yay. Another person who pretends the 80s decade of cartoons were just perfect. I loved those times a whole lot better but some are trying there hardest and they are making very good things with such. Just because there is more artistic diversity doesn't mean "everything" sucks. You just sound like a preachy annoying 80s kid.

Seems as if the animation was created in multiple sites. Half of the episodes like this one uses Japanese sound effects while the other use Hanna Barbara like sound effects and the video looks crispier.

After Scott and T-Bob were seemingly crushed to death, Matt kept a really cool head when he confronted Mayhem and told him, "I'm going to personally see that you spend the rest of your life behind bars!" After VENOM escape shortly after, Matt says that Mayhem will pay for what happened to Scott, but his tone of voice doesn't show someone who seems overly revenge-driven, considering that event is pretty fresh in his mind. Heck, Matt doesn't even give chase to VENOM after they escape. These just don't seem like the actions of a man with Batman-esque revenge. Hell, maybe Matt Trakker can cope better then fellow billionaire Bruce Wayne?
I was thinking the same - Matt's dialogue and delivery were way too flat considering how upsetting the circumstances would have been in his mind. I guess they wanted to tone down the drama to keep it kid-friendly. Scott's revelation that he and T-bob were "fixed up" on an alien planet implies that he must have been badly injured by the barrels too, which is unexpectedly dark.

I loved Mask, with the other ones, from the beginning. What I liked is that even though the Mask tech was years ahead, the surrounding science was well researched. It led to some damn good episodes. The beauty of much 80s writing, was that, even though some of it was ahead, some of it was just right on track. It fertilized my mind, when it came theoretical physics. I spent many summer vacations wondering "if the slightest connection was made, right here, would a fraction of this stuff be possible" - in some way... I also like, how, when authentic mysteries of the story line were discovered, the chemistry of the characters, came together so well. You just don't find the creativity and awesomeness of writing like that, anymore...

If you look at the production team, there are Japanese staff and US staff. This is kinda like Transformers in a way.
