    Just watched your video. My Father passed away in 2020 at the age of 82. And he told me that yes you could find the hive by following a bee. We grew flowers and veggies at the house. And we didn't use much weed killer, so we always had bees and he would watch them and he told about doing that as a boy. The part of Delhi township where he grew up was mostly 5 acre farms and most of the men could and did other work.

    My grandad successfully raised honey bees out here in so. California.
    There was a candy maker company near him that gave him the imperfect candy. He put it in a big trash can near the white bee boxes where he kept his bees. He would also take the bees up north to pollenate the almond trees and I guess other trees that needed pollenating.
    He did very well and everyone always had their share of honey with no shortages, and plenty to share with neighbors and friends...
    He said he only got stung a couple of times for all the years he did that
    He has passed or I'd ask more questions for him to answer.
    Good Luck!!

Cut the stems strip off the leaves to dry, stick cuttings in soil and you have new plants as you harvest until you have it growing everywhere. It even comes back after a zone 8 winter.
    It super sweet but I love honey in my coffee. I have bees in my house between first and second floor. I may have to cut a hole in my office ceiling to collect some rent honey. I bought them a hive but I can’t bribe them to use it.

    Oxalic acid is how you become a successful beekeeper. It’s naturally occurring it doesn’t harm bees but it devastates The Varroa mites. The difference between treating for Varroa mites and not treating for Varroa mites is the difference between whether or not you want to be a perennial beekeeper or an annual beekeeper

    • @purplepotatofarmstand
      @purplepotatofarmstand 2 года назад

      honey bees aren't native to the U.S, the winters in the North will easily kill off the hive, that's why bee keepers buy queens from the south. some operations haul there whole production to the south, rent out the hives.

    • @Kenniii3
      @Kenniii3 2 года назад

      @@purplepotatofarmstand the reason northern beekeepers buy Southern reared queens is because packages are available in march and April. Northern raised queens and packages often aren’t ready until May or June. Northern reared queens actually have a higher overwinter success rate. Transporting bees to the south is more of a financial decision. There’s allot of money to be made pollinating. So much so that the honey is a secondary consideration, and is sometimes a nuisance, since the full supers make it necessary to service the hive more often to keep the bees from swarming.

    Keep in mind that honey can save you in many ways. Please don't not utilize it at least as wound treatment. Rinse a deep cut, slap raw honey INTO the wound. Wrap it, use a zipper if needed and in 2-3 days the flesh will have fused and most internal damage as well. (I say this from experience. Stitches sucked and headed super slowly so I was sick of them and tried this. No joke I will never go for stitches unless it has to be re attached or is to gouged to keep in place to heal. Even then I will demand it's use in the treatment I place of chemical substitutes.
    Look it up. If you don't process the proteins to death, they are considered RAW unassigned Protein. With that, your body make any cell on the spot. Your body will abandon the scabbing (scaffold) process and go right to repairs. All because it doesn't have to transport/produce new cells because they are already plentiful right there. And while fixing the wound it's also killing bad bacteria that would cause infection.

    The flies have been driving me crazier than normal this year. I'm considering investing in an air curtain for the front door. They are low wattage 🤷‍♀️

    I would like to know what other ingredients are in it. Would rather try essential oils.

    I love the suggestion of bleach in the drains. However, I tried the vanilla car fresheners...that very brand you're holding...in my duck house (5'x8' enclosed) with fairly clean pine shavings on the floor & NO success. I hung 3 of them right outside my front door on the porch because every time my dog goes in or out his dog door, flies come in. Well, nobody sent the message to my west coast flies cuz they weren't the least bit put off by vanilla!

    I’ve heard Irish spring soap also helps deter flies

    That is so helpful! I wonder if it works with cluster flies, we get them and they are SO GROSS. They are like normal house flies but hang out in huge groups. I think it is so funny we have exactly those same air fresheners all the way over here in New Zealand

    They poop on absolutely everywhere! I tried the venella seint and it really hasn't helped that I noticed? I know we have All kinds of different sized fly's! But wonder if it takes a sirent kind? But you mentioned the deal about people killing animals and I can't believe it but it has happened to us twice! The first time was on St Patrick's day and My big dog Tezzie was out in our pasture playing with the horse's and somebody shoot and killed her! So decusting and broke my heart and then about nine months later someone shoot and killed one of our ponys and two of our piglets!!! WTH is wrong with them??
