i think one of the main differences with the 300 is that the 200 weighs over 900g (almost a kilo) while the 300 instead weighs around 600g. 300g is not a huge difference, about the weight of a large apple, but it adds up if you're traveling by plane with just a carry-on bag for example. the volume of the 200 is also considerably bigger but it does feel a lot sturdier than the 300 (think of 80's sturdy durable toys vs nowadays toys. that's the vibe). thanks for your videos, you're my go to whenever i want to know more about instant cameras

i have the 210 one (same thing basically), and while watching your video i was like "hey, i got one of those!" i got it for christmas on 2012, it still had batteries and a film package inside (yes i know, bad idea) but i took a couple of shots... and one of them worked! after almost 10 years! and yes, the batteries still had juice! a total wizardry. the other one got double exposed with an old pic i took years ago... i dont know how, but it looks cool, almost like if a ghost of a old me was there. anyways, i think you're a cool guy! Definitely you deserve wayyy more subs. your production is super professional!

I used my 210 for the first time in 6 years today. Lol i thought the batteries were dead, accidentally broke the battery cover bc it was jammed. Batteries actually didn’t need to be changed, the batteries & film worked after being dormant for so many years. 😩 I’m hoping fuji does a hybrid of the fuji 300 and sq 20!

I bought a 300 when it first came out, didn't know about the 200 ... I do love it!!! The Lomo Instant Wide is a pretty good camera!!!

Hey, Chris :) I love your videos, especially about the cameras :) I have a big variety of cameras..., some SX 70s, Instax Wide 210 & 300, Mint TL 70 and a lot of Instax Mini... and I'm searching for a good deal on an SLR 680 :)
All those are excellent cameras! I got lucky on my SLR 680 find.
Fuji does need to bring out some more up market instax film cameras.. an SLR wide with lenses would be amazing like you say

There’s a lighten and darken mode button. To under exposure use the darken mode.

I actually prefer the even older Instax 100 over the 200/210. It has the controls and display on the back (exactly like the 500AF) and it looks better imo.
Still loving my 210, chonker feels like a plastic mini van that takes photos and I can’t get enough 😂

I have a few Instax Wide cameras. Think I got the 100 in 1999 but it did not get much use due I preferred Polaroid SX70/600 those days. A few years ago I was finally able to get the 500AF within Europe, import from Japan is expensive with import duties, VAT etc. I like the 500AF because the flash can be turned off and the autofocus. Last year I added the 300 Toffee edition (like the look) with a discount. If I could only keep one it would be the 500AF but have to admit all are very capable cameras delivering gorgeous photos. Instax is very reliable film. It would be great if Fujifilm announced a Wide printer…
Edit 2021/10/14: an Instax Wide printer is just announced. Price +/- 150$
Oh shoot that’s awesome!! Yeah I do prefer polaroid but LOVE the wide format from Fuji. One day I hope there will be something new on that front.
I just saw a new wide hello kitty edition 210 recently(yeah, that's a different model) for a 50$. I wanted to get into a new format(I only used mini for a few years). Thank you for the video!

nice review, just picked one of these up on ebay for GBP 2.20 lol (technically non-working but its just a battery leak has corroded the terminals a very easy fix)

I have the instax wide 100. IT doesnt come with the selfie thing, so maybe they added it on this format. Also there is a limited edition wide 500

Great Vid!! I too have the Instax wide, I would love a more in depth about tricks to get good shots with the Instax wide, I have the hardest time getting my pictures framed, but I’ll try that method of doing the L shape. Also when you say under expose, could you maybe put it in, dummy terms lol 😂

What’s the difference between 200 and 300? From what I gathered with the 300 it does everything automatic unlike 200 where you can adjust settings
Hey Chris, I just got this camera about a week ago. Im wondering how to "under-expose" my pictures like you said - i.e: for the sky pictures. I have the exact same camera as you, so please explain it step by step if you can! Also, for pictures inside and/or outside, what are the best steps after turning it on?

Hi! I have the same model and unfortunately I dropped it on the floor :(( . I think a part inside the machine may have been lost and that part is under the cover above the on/off button. Love your videos. How would one underexpose a photo? Is there a video for that? I love my Fujifilm 300 and took a couple of shots the other day and it was way too bright. Would clicking the Darken button underexpose it? Thanks.

Omg that battery thing is crazy! my instax 300 batteries i had to change like 3x within a year , barely using it and it randomly just stops turning on🙃 Love your videos🥰🥰 but kinda want to cry they arent like half an hour long😀
also, random question.. did you use normal or darken setting for those pretty pictures with blue skies?? I’ve taken a few on a beach etc with darken and they are so vibrant but waaay too dark and I haven’t tried using the normal setting cos I’m scared they would not be as vibrant and would be overexposed LOL xx

Unfortunately this wouldn’t be a camera for that BUT try under exposing your shot and maybe place an ND filter over your lens

There is not unfortunately. If you want that on this film type,Check out the Lomography wide camera. I did a video on it actually. No Bluetooth however.

Hmmm I guess it just depends on your preference. For me I prefer to have a camera over a printer because I know it will get used more.
silly question perhaps, but any guidance would help. I have G.A.S. and technically don't need any more cameras! I have one instant film camera, a Polaroid SX-70, but I hardly use it because of the cost of the film (where I live, each shot works out to 2,5 usd). I found the Instax 210 for 40 usd brand new, and am considering it, purely for the cost of not only the camera but also price per shot (70 cents roughly) .. I really wanted to get the fuji instax neo 90 with mini film, but not prepared to pay that much, I would rather use the sx-70 in that case ... any thoughts/advice?

Nowe we have a Wide Printer, but still no good options for Wide cameras. I would easily pay a couple hundred dollars for a camera with a good quality lens.
