I get your point. Life is kinda meaningless, you are born, then you life for some amount of time, and then... then you die. But for me that's the reason why every one of us should create our own aim. We should create a reason for being alive. Probably you have been given an oportuinity to live only once (even if more, we know that for sure once). So why spent it being afraid
