    Lithium orotate has literally changed my life.... 20 mg a day. 10 in morning and 10 at night. For the first time in my life I feel normal. My brain does not feel like it's suffering anymore. Thank God.

      @@travv88 well i have complex ptsd and its helped wjth my anxiety attacks so much. I dont take it everyday but i take it on days that are rough. Sometimes can be everyday. Ill send brand that i use!

    I’m a giant asshole lately. If lithium can help me achieve assholeness reduction by even 25%, the world will be a better place. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. But everything upsets me and I overreact. And I hate myself afterwards. Mood disorders are awful. Thanks for the info.

      Dude I have this problem and it sux. It happens without me even realising.
      I literally walk around and speak with an attitude to everyone.

      @@chinchillaquirino9128 would have replied sooner but was waiting to see if my moods were better. Lithium didn’t work but I’m on antidepressants (fluoxetine) and Lamotrigine. My kids say I’m nicer. 😆🤷‍♀️

      Happened to me too. My relationship with my wife and child went from pretty awful to peaceful and enjoyable almost overnight. It's been three months and not a single argument. Only constructive conversations. My toddler and I have never been closer.

      @@frankmeyers7304 It's still working. I felt a difference in less than 36 hours. Honestly I think it was the same day or next morning. There's very little time needed to build up in your system. If I'm feeling extreme stress and anxiety usually one 5mg tablet makes a big difference in 15-30 minutes. I take one in the morning and then as needed once or twice a day. It's not going to fix anything in your life but you feel way less reactive to things that would normally set you off. It gives you a buffer before you react or you just don't feel the impulse to react. It feels like what normal is. You have more mental stamina to make changes in your life. So it doesn't fix anything but it allows you to do the work

      @@Anangelfromabove Yea it was orotate I raised the dosage to 10mg twice a day, maybe that became toxic to the liver but i generally have a very sensitive liver. Just taking a headache pill is enough to raise my liver values so i think that the small dosage is usually not hepatotoxic :) Does it work for you ?

    Sir most of the kidney and other toxicity issues come from specifically taking Lithium CARBONATE … lithium orotate is great in low doses, crosses the blood-brain barrier much more easily. You only need 10 mg

      I'm curious to know how much I should take if my normal protocol is 4 x 300mg Lithium Carbonate. I'm thinking 2-3 tablets, twice daily (20-30 mg) Lithium Orotate. Or, to be on the safe side because I'm an actual Bipolar patient, maybe go as high as 4 in the morning, 4 at night (40 mg?) Do you really think I can as low as 10mg? That seems like very little for somebody taking 1200 mg lithium carbonate..

    Lithium orotate has been working very nice for me. About 10-15mg a day. I've def noticed some mood calming effects. I plan to continue.

    I take 5-10 mg of lithium orotate daily. It has completely reversed my bipolar. Anger, frustration, suicidal ideation all gone. My relationship with my wife and child have been completely transformed. Can this supplement be continued before surgery? It really helps me with panic attacks. I don't know if it reacts with anesthesia or causes blood thinning. I'd like to stay on it but don't want to risk anything

      @@macgina8412 over three months now. It's so helpful. Anxiety and racing thoughts are very much under control. Depression comes rarely and briefly if at all. It's not a cure. You have to get quality sleep, exercise, have good nutrition and self care. It's so much easier to do those things now. I wish I would have tried it sooner in my life. A dear friend of mine who is severely bipolar and suffers from PTSD has been on it for a month and she can't believe the changes she's experiencing. She said her stress and anxiety are the lowest they've ever been in her adult life.

    Why did you try 600mg when first stated it? Why not just try a small dosage and titrate up until you get an optimal effect?

    Is it true that the active lithium content in OTC lithium is the dosage they quote on the bottle whereas the prescription grade lithium they quote the total lithium on the bottle?

    Thomas Guttuso University of Buffalo is using low dose lithium for Parkinsons. He is doing double blind randomized controlled trials.

    Interesting fact: The original 7up was introduced as a medicine elixir for the cure of hangovers and had lithium salt(citrate) as one of the ingredients. In 1948 the use of lithium was banned in this soft drink. Being that most soft drinks have a "recipe" I'm not sure if amount of lithium citrate was ever disclosed.
    There is still lithia water available having 1/2 mcg per serving. * It seems like with whole foods diet(meat,potatoes) and of course soil you could get 5mg/day.

      0.2 mg per 100 ml in pellegrino mineral water … 2mg per 1 litre better deal than coffee

    Lithium Orotate is more bioavailable with a low dose. There are Lancet studies and others. Check for yourself and talk with your doctor.

      Yeah, why start with 600mg when you had the opportunity to assess impact of 5mg. Considering groundwater trace levels have shown impact, why ignore this and go straight to 600? Doesn’t make sense.

      All studies about neuroprotective effects against alzheimer, dementia and alzheimers happens at lower dosages from the 50 mg to 150 mg rangs. 300mg is already getting toxic and in 600 mg or higher impairs brainfunctions such as memory

      @@dominus6695 perhaps they are under a physicians care. Extreme cases of Manic-Depression can be life threatening - self doctoring can have serious consequences. A patient may well bring up the migration from Rx dosing of Li Carbonate to low dose Li Orotate, but that's up to them, not YOU!

    5mg feels great. Don't know why you'd try any more than maybe 20mg per day. It's a naturally occurring mineral salt and works at very low doses.

    I find it astonishing that he cannot tell Li Or at 20mg is not noticeable. I've treated about 100 patients with it, and 99 of them notice a substantial difference. Suddenly stopping it and waiting a few days for the irritability to come back at full force should prove it to him. This nearly always happens.

      I tried that. Instantly got a massive headache. Went to 500 mcg and was fine. Went to 750 mcg got mild headache. I Take 500 mcg every 3 Days as I've read that it eliminates about half of it every day. So I don't want to hit 1 mg in the blood again. But I do seem to get slightly to mediocre lifted mood and a lot more focus especially on the day that I take it.

      @@kennethmacgregor6427 Orotate comes in very low doses and is generally very safe. Carbonate is by prescription only and can be very damaging to the kidneys.

      Exactly! I’m taking all of these + inositol and they truly helped me with depression, feel so much better, but I’m still not out of the woods yet. Just ordered Lithium orotate 🤞. If I won’t feel any difference - next in line to try is Methylene blue

    When do you get your libido back after stopping? Seems to work for stabilizing mood but the libido is low afterwards which is annoying.

      For me, it seems to calm me down, stop the incessant mental chatter. I rather notice more stable, so to say, normal libido, not the maniac kind (lithium normalizes dopamine).
      Read once somewhere to get lithium orotate with B12, 5-HTP, magnesium, Bacopa, Ashwagandha, as they work marvels in combination. So to say lithium also needs some cofactors, but it's helpful on its own too - and even more helpful when taken with the cofactors.

      Yeah, I take 1200 mg daily. I never gave it a second thought, is it supposed to be giving me side effects or something, cause I don't notice anything. But, I would still like to go to 4-6 tabs of lithium Orotate daily instead of the standard lithium carbonate because long term there are issues with carbonate. I don't want my kidneys messed up.
