- And yes I feed it, but there is only so much I can feed it. It just won't stop!! It does it any time it can see anyone, but is worse with me. Not off to a great start

he's just hungry. give him food... and snuggles.
He's hungry...feed him as much as he'll take every 4hrs or so...there's so much info on the net :)... he looked very young so maybe mre often??
Galah's are high maitenance and he is a baby. He see's you as he mother and he is lonely. Break the behavior and cuddle him as soon as he starts. He is a beauty!
Worst advice possible! All parrots are wild animals and should NOT be raised like cats or dogs. If the owner starts responding to the screams every single time with food or attention the bird will learn, through the reinforced and repeated behavior, that it can get what it wants by screaming.

That's birds for ya. My bird really tests my patience on some days. I just remember that it is who they are, they aren't domesticated and most importantly, they didn't ask to be in my home. My bird didn't get to say yes or no to living in my house, so I feel the least I can do is make it as happy as possible.

He's just like my cat... he wants more than he can eat.
Also, he is not always hungry. Pretend its a crying baby. Pick him up and comfort him. Is he hungry or does he want a cuddle. Your the mum. Its your job to figure it out. He may just watto know where you were and that he is happy you came back. Let him see where you are, or answer him when he screams for you so he knows your close by.
Just like children, if your overly tough now and ignore your bird now, when he grows up, he will be a harder tougher less lovey bird.
He needs food. That is how babies galah cry whenever they are hungry.

And that's why cockatoos of any sort should not be kept in captivity. These animals are not designed to be living in close proximity with humans.

Hello, Sorry for the late comment coz I only just found this. You should have passed this stage by now, but.....
Your mum and he is your baby. You cant over feed a baby bird. You can feed till he pushes the syinge/spoon away. If you have to do it every hour, do it. He will tell you when he is hungry. A brest feeding mum doesnt have a time-table. She feeds when the baby needs it. You should do the same. Feel his crop and feel if its empty, coz he wants that crop with something in it all the time.

It just need attention I have my own baby galah and I've actually have trained him to calm down when he yells. Although it's not always full proof
