This is really good! I like how the first one is how Genesis games can sound like when the developers put extra effort into a game's soundtrack, and the 2nd is what realistically Genesis developers usually did with Genesis music.
The timing of this upload is something special, considering the Spiderman TAS meme leader got axed off. It is a very humble time for this mix to be released.
I always though it was ironic that the censors wouldn't let the writers use the word "blood" in the Morbius epiodes and had them change it to "plasma", when the shows theme song featured the word "blood" in it multiple times.
No, Raimi got his ideas from the original "The Amazing Spider-Man" comics (the same place the animated series adapted their stories from). The Spider-Man 2 movie is directly inspired by ASM issue 50, and the scene where Peter walks away from his alterego is identical to the comic panel where he leaves his costume in a trashcan.
Pretty sure they already had a nailed down official sega genesis version of this song... but now made even better. If I'm not wrong, those are the same vocals from said song. Are they?
It is. But the old Genesis version wasn't nailed. They used the voice sample WAY too much in that version and the guitar and drums are all off. Still cool, though. It would be way better like this, now that we know a sega could've handled it.
Ehh I wouldn’t say they “nailed” the original down, I mean it sounds fine as it is but I mean compared to this remix it sounds kinda lazily done. But ehh they had to work with what they had at the time but with soundtracks like Batman and robin I felt they could’ve done better. But yeah I’d say the original really ain’t as good

Is the building in the background with the "U" shaped roof a real place in New York? It's in the PlayStation 1 game, too, you beat up a goon there before going to the bank. I THINK I remember it in the 2002 movie game, too.
There's 2 different games on Genesis both called Spiderman, one of them is based on the cartoon. There's also Maximum Carnage, Separation Anxiety, and Spiderman & Xmen in Arcade's Revenge. I highly recommend all of them as well as Xmen 2: Clone Wars
Spiderman on Sega CD has cutscenes like the cartoon. So does Adventures of Batman and Robin on Sega CD, but the Genesis version kicks butt too. Spiderman on 32x is rare as hell and sucks so it's not worth it.
