@@oldrenzo5583 the Clermont sear zone is definitely hot enough. I’ve done a couple videos on this channel with braising and searing over it. I haven’t offset smoke just using charcoal, but a great video idea…thanks!
@@smokingtarheel3003 been doing it this way since i found them in the store on my old pellet grill. it didn't have any sensors, so i never would have known but the flavor is definitely different than using the wood pellets alone.
which of those cuisinart smokers do you like better? they are boh on clearance at my local walmart and i'm about to get one
Each is very different. Check them out and see what works best for you. If you need a lot of space for smoking, definitely the Clermont. .
@@chefsbonus7696 is the searing section in the cleremont get hot enough ? Have you tried offset cooking using just the the coals in the long one?
