Flavia Saraiva, Jade Barbosa and Rebeca Andrade of Brasil have been leaders of this team for years. For me, Brasil represents redemption. After years of injuries, this team won their first world team medal and are now a top contender for an Olympic team medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics. If they win, this will be their first Olympic team medal in history for their country.
People have asked me on this account why I am such a Brasil fan as someone who doesn’t live there, this is one of the reasons. Defying the odds and producing amazing gymnastics for themselves and their country after such setbacks. I truly can’t wait to watch them compete at the Olympic this summer!
