- If you have an ATV, Quad or 4 wheeler this is the most functional rack solution I have ever found. Best of all its cheap and easy to make, but strong and multi functional! I have tried rack bags, rack baskets, rack storage boxes before but none of them work as good as this home made set up for your atv, quad, and 4 wheeler cargo racks. You can fit a 5 gallon bucket plus extra gear in each of the crates. The system is rock solid and super strong. Its waterproof and easy to clean. This is the most functional rack solution for quads, atvs and 4 wheelers.

This is really genius idea. Actually I was about to buy a basket for my ATV but this really works for me. Thanks a lot!

Simple and extremely useful. My dad used them for his honda big red trike back in the 80s. He still has them and have used them on quads and now his side by side .
Yep so versatile!
Thank you for this idea.I just built a similar setup for my Honda 400 foreman.3 milk rates for the back with a chainsaw scabbard mount as well. Cheap, rugged and weatherproof.Excellent

I just bought a Polaris Sportsman and the first thing I did was to zip tie three milk crates to the front rack, one holds recovery gear, one is for chainsaw gear and the third holds a one gallon Coleman. Love the setup.
Uep works like a champ and is the strongest rack i have ever used.

Hahaha. Glad I could help
Thats perfect im doing this
Works better than any rack basket I have ever seen. Going on 10 years now and still works perfect.
Did this tonight with my Sportsman 570 tonight. Great, great idea and vid. Just wondering what clamps you used. The ones I bought (Craftsman) don't hold as tight as I had hoped.
Thanks again!!
The clamps I have on top for shovels, bows etc are just metal spring clamps from home depot. Glad you like it. Such a versatile functional rack and so strong. Mine has been going 10 years now and works as good as the day I put it on.
I ran a bigger triple ,but it hangs over the back .lots of storage room. Cheap and efficient.
simple brilliance and so functional!
love it
Such a great simple basket. Worked for many years and the guy who bought my quad bought them too. He still uses them today
I need a basket the size of those 3 to carry my chain saw and other long stuff, any great ideas? I love that I could hang straps and bungees to it
I'd put a 2x4 on the outside of the milk crates with some spacers between the board and crate and drop the saw blade down in that slot with the chain saw body resting on the board and crate. For long stuff like shovels I rest rhwm in the clamps across the front or back and for long steel poles I lashed them front to back to the milk crates on the front and on the back so they were on my right side going fore and aft.
I copied your ideal / it works great / thanks
Glad i could help!
Any chance you can remember where you got your zip ties?
You can find them on amazon. Ebay and northern tool.
